  • im glad i found this. ive been hooping for over a year now, and today ive been seeing a ton of videos of switching from elbow to elbow haha. maybe ive just never noticed it before but everyone's doing it now. thanks for this :D

  • I so love watching these vids. My sister made them for me. Never meant to be posted on YouTube, they were a bday present to me. I found them so wonderful that I asked her if I could post them, and many have come to appreciate them as well.

It just makes me smile so big to watch my sister, so many miles away, being perfectly "her."

  • Excellent Demo. (I've got the 'screamy' part down when I drop it.) Thanks for the posting.

  • PLEASE POST MORE VIDEOS! I need help learning as I am performing hulahooping in a talent show thnx.

  • Oh that is so cute when it bounces and you say oops! Lovely vid

  • you are very nice!

  • you're welcome. the modern-day, high-quality hoops you can find from hoop makers on hooping dot org will make a world of difference in your hooping ... best of luck to you!

  • i decided to make a hoop out of 3/4in 160 psi pvc tubing. it is so much heavier than the cheap plastic and is taking me time to get used to. your videos really help! keep posting! :D

  • excellent! i'm happy for you. i believe, now, you'll find hooping and tricks to be a whole new world of possibilities ... and fun! (my sister is the hooper in the vid. i'll pass along your message to her.)

  • ack!! this is making me crazy: when i have it spinning around my arm i cant get it to stop traveling up. it gets as far as hooping around my shoulder and hitting me in the ear >_< please any help? suggestions?

  • perhaps the weight and size of your hoop is at cause. perhaps it's the type of tape on your hoop. my sister (the hooper in these vids) is using, approximately, a 41-inch, 160 psi, 3/4-in tubing hoop with plenty of gaffer tape.

if you need to upgrade your hoop, go to hooping dot org for a list of hoop makers. best of luck to you!

  • ok thank you. i am using a cheap-o one dollar hoop i found at some store when i decided i wanted to start hooping.

  • thanks for the tip, i did this on my first try =)

  • thanks for sharing! thats a fun trick!

  • I tried this Jessie. It's really lots of fun. The kids at my high school class really enjoyed it. Thanks for your clear explanations. I find your videos really helpful.

  • Thanks. The videos are actually from my sister, who is a middle school teacher. The set of videos was a birthday present to me, and they were the foundation of what has now become a rather large hoop video collection.

  • ah, but "easy" and "smooth" are different goals ... the bent arm way of doing this move allows for a fluidity of movement that is quite beautiful when a hooper is able to move from arm to arm to arm to arm

  • Um....switching arms is a lot easier without bending the arms....

  • yeah, but it looks cool when you bend your arms!
