Sad that Drum & Bass is loosing all of its good Producers and even more problematic is that NOBODY tries to work hard like Goldie did on his Timeless LP or LTJ Bukem back in the days. D-Bridge made some outstanding Tracks - but even D Bridge is not consistent enough to impress me. What happend to the Melodies in Drum & Bass?!? Im looking for a modern Version of Adam F's - Circles...something like that.
@Raydensheraj wow I was thinking about Circles too lately... that one really has one of the best basslines ever in DnB - that improvised part where he played that 808 bass
@Raydensheraj You hit the nail on the head brotha... DNB is still great but where are the future classics that Bukem use to turn out? def some new artists that are good but nothing like the Bukem & Conrad duo.
@Raydensheraj You hit the nail on the head brotha... DNB is still great but where are the future classics that Bukem use to turn out? def some new artists that are good but nothing like the Bukem & Conrad duo.
@Raydensheraj The beautiful sample in Circles was taken from a Bob James song. It was still a really well put together tune but in those days everyone was sampling Bob James to the point where nothing was left to sample! Goldie was always proper original though - not that he didn't use samples, just he built up more of the tunes on his own with original sounds and synths.
@Raydensheraj i kinda agree and disagree with you at the point that Drum & Bass is loosing some of its original producers... there is still a hell of alot of good drum & Bass producers out there... calibre, commix, SPY, survival, silent witness, Fracture and neptune (cant get any original), Break, Need for mirrors, madmen and poets, to name a few. its just drum and bass is now moving on. and moving on in the right direction! This year has been a good year and its gonna get better
@Raydensheraj no nothing to do with the beats and everything to do with the melodies, what it reminds me of is purely decided by me and me only, ever heard Snake Skin or Fluid Motion?
All about smokin' a spliff, closing my eyes, and letting the music take me to another planet. This song is something else, that's for sure. I agree - def. one of the best tracks in easily the past 10 years.
this really takes me back to all of the good early D n B back in the 90's before it got insanely dark, not that I don't like the darkcore but I do miss tracks that sounded like these.
To make it clear, this has nothing to do with the Band "Blush Response" and nothing with the Track produced by Vangelis on the Blade Runner Soundtrack. D-Bridge is a Drum & Bass Producer and so are Instra:Mental...
yeah man, cleaner dnb has been resuscitated a bit lately, or maybe my interest in it has picked up again. Either way, tunes like this are spinning my wheels more than ever!!
D-Bridge and Instra:mental are renewing my interest in dnb. I got sick of the neurofunk crunchy synth concrete scraping sound, and the jump up movement that just sounding embarrassing.
This, Decibel Ridge, Photograph, very different angles. What I like as well is that they're starting to use the Matrix (Jamie Quinn) 1997-98 staggering drums again but in a 2009 sort of way, Data's maybe even more forward about it.
whatever. im just sayin, brandon flowers used to be in a band called blush response, and they kinda sounded like this, cuz synthpop kinda sounds like electronic./
Yo guys you're obviously lost! This is drum&bass artist D-Bridge & Instra:Mental with the song Blush Response. Nothing to do with the synth pop band Blush Reponse
get me every time! very emotional

@Raydensheraj autonomic/exit seem pretty consistent to me. see what you mean though but it's harder nowdays to come up with something original

@bownies123
Furi Anga made some good stuff - Lenzman and the people at Shogun records also released decent Stuff.
Jay Majik's " Old Headz " Track made me happy - yep, been a couple of good releases this Year - but nothing phenomenal either...

@bownies123 yooo what about alix perez and spectrasoul... damn goood dnb producers man.. just thought you left them off your list ;D
