Hi everyone! One of my friends, a top graduate of USC film school wrote and directed this short film called THE BROKEN HEART OF GNOCCHI BOLOGNESE. It's a whimsical, fun, romantic comedy with a great red-haired protagonist, much like Anne. The trailer is listed under my favorites on my YouTube page or you can find it by searching for the title. The entire film is available on the iPad app Play Festival Films. The link for the iPad app is listed in the description of the trailer. Check it out!
It's too bad they just didn't make a movie of "Anne's House of Dreams" which followed the beginning of their marriage (and the birth of their first two children). It was a great book. Lots of romance and heartache...without this stupid Anne as action hero stuff.
Loved the beginning but hated when "Anne goes to war". No woman went traipsing off the Europe to search for her husband in WWI. It would be like a citizen walking into Afghanistan or Iraq today. It strayed way too far from the books to be plausible. But I liked the early Anne/Gilbert scenes. Their chemistry is great and the relationship authentic. They're both better actors in this movie too. Particularly Jonathan Crombie. Better acting but sadly the story is atrocious.
I think Anne's demeanor is incorrect. In the books all the characters would not only talk about how they wanted to look like anne but to move like her. She is supposed to have dainty, light books and be lady like but she kinda reminds me of a guy here!
I TOTALLY agreeeee. Best scenes of The Continuing Story. I just thinks it's so adorable how Gilbert was in love Anne with from her very first day of school, & he never gave up on her. Even when she refused his proposal. And now, she's "scandalously in love" with him.
Oh my goodness may someone please upload the railway scene where domic runs to anne at the end of anne of green gables the continuing story ? ive been looking everywhere for tht :( it just pulls at my heart strings
Anne is an IDIOT, she cant even go to NY for ONE year to be with her MAN. Sheesh. oh never mind, im writing this s i watch it and she just said shell go. ok. Spoke too soon. haha
@xotqeyes i thunderstnad how jamp to concloosions about veedeo boutds nat evan watching theREM TRUE. I WATCKED TItaRNIC ON DIS FOrE AND then watchew no but and than top finihs???11
Even though it is not true to the book I'm so glad they made Anne 3. The scene at the end of the sequel on the bridge with Anne and Gil was so absolutely perfect but it left me wanting more! This movie definitely filled that void and there are some really romantic scenes
Wait, if you can upload your favourite clips, can't you just upload the entire movie and name each scene, "Anne of Green Gables Favourite Scene Part 1" and so forth until the entire movie is uploaded in a numerical order? That would mean a lot to a lot of viewers. Upload it so Youtube won't be able to delete it. (: I'm not really sure if that could work, but it's just a suggestion. :D
I cannot believe!!!! that I have not watched this movie yet!! i think when it came out i had just finished the entire series of books and didn't want to lose those mental images to a tv. but now i NEEEEED TO SEE THIS MOVIE!
OMG!! Do you know where or how I can get the entire Anne of Green Gables sequel and the continuing journey as well? It's so hard to find. Please help me. Thank you for posting this.
I was hoping that the first scene in your video would be the first scene in the video. Anne and Gilbert's eyes meet, Anne lets out a squeal of joy, and then in her eagerness to get to him she just face plants right in to the sand.
This was good in its own right, but I can understand how some would consider it far-fetched. When I first saw this, I was unaware it didn't follow the books (I haven't read them). The performances, of course, were spot-on, and that makes this worthwhile for me. I enjoyed seeing this cast again. In terms of their looks, people age! I think they all great.
Wow this is bad. Why did they even make this movie? It has nothing to do with the books at all, and it seems bad even as a movie especially compared to the first ones that are just wonderful! At what has happened with Anne's voice?
You're right, and my comment about her voice wasn't really a criticism to the movie, I just thought she sounded strange. And I didn't know it was made so much later. My point still stands about the movie though =)
can you tell me the ending of the series...there so many ending here on youtube that i have yet to know what happens at the end...did gil and anne get marry or did something happen? plz help me!
@SHINWAICHI yes Anne and Gilbert got married and had 8 children I believe. This movie is waaay different then the books, my suggestion would be to read the books. The first two movies are good and slightly like the books. Books are way better though because your imagination gets to run wild.
yes, they had Walter, twin girls, and... well I haven't read the books for awhile, but yes 8 children... The boys ended up going to war, Walter sadly... died. :'( So in a way this is KIND of like the books.. but Gil never went... I don't really like this movie :/
HORRIBLE film with terrible continuity errors and a timeline that makes NO sense compared to the first 2 films and "Road to Avonlea." A wart on the ass of LM Montgomery and Anne fans.
i was just wondering, would there be any way to upload "part 8" of the movie? (the continuing story) because i can't seem to find that part anywhere on youtube. they it has like part 7 then it skips to part 9. basically, the wedding scene, and the parts around that scene. thank you very much
what happened to her voice? anne of green gables is beloved to me and it was sad to see how much changed.. she doesn't carry the same essence of anne in the first movies.. there is no passion between her and Gil. but it's to be somewhat expected.. everything seems more enchanting when you're only 17.. that's when she made the first movie, i believe
It really amazing how much they have changed between the last two movies. they could alomst be different people. but i love the continuing story it is so sad and makes me mad about Jack Garrison. He's annoying.
wow....anne sure changed and so did her voice.....it seems really grown up....the continuing story was not what i expected i thouhgt it was going to start off when they first got together they really started the last movie when they got older.....and marilla died.. :( the 1st and 2nd are my favs..
this is one of my favorite parts too when gill surprises ann and she falls down. lol. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE ANN OF GREEN GABLES AND ESPECIALLY GILBERT!!!!!! :D :D :D :D AND I GOT THE MOVIES FOR CHRISTMAS!!!! IM SO HAPPY!!! :D :D :D:D:D:D

This is an amazing movie. I love all the Anne of Green Gables' movies. I like the Sequel the best, but I love all of them. Anne of Green Gables will always have a special place in my heart. :)
@lizzy596 Although I do wish Kevin Sullivan could've made a movie out of all of the Anne books, I realize that it would be impractical. It would take too much time to film them and, really, they wouldn't do well except among us die-hard Anne fans. So the Sullivan Studios would actually lose money on those films.
@lizzy596 Besides, there are some scenes in this film which I feel stretch the abilities of the actors and make them shine, like when Anne and Jack are questioning the German nurse and Anne loses her composure on the nurse! That's my favorite bit in the movie! Also, Anne of Avonlea was not true to the book. It wove bits from several of the books into a story that kinda sorta existed but didn't exist in the books, and they totally omitted the twins, Davy and Dora. Yet, we love that movie.
Anne was suppose to be 20 years old in this movie, but the actress playing her was almost 30. Yes, it had nothing to do with the books, and it was a little dissapointing, but there were a lot of great Anne/Gil scenes :)
While I did love this movie, I feel that it did not reflect in any way L.M. Montgomery's books, still it was beautiful to see Anne & Gilbert all grown up
Sandy kisses and sweet talks through the fields sigh.... I agree those are my favorite moments in the 3rd movie that and the part where they reunite SO sweet!!!!

If not, could you upload the parts: where gil tells anne in new york "let's go home" and they hug. And also the part where diane tells anne in the car that gil bought the house for her until the kiss on the porch.
I agree with you! This is all Sullivan's fault! I still like the movie & think it's great, but I'm very dissapointed too that is not based on original novels! Sullivan shouldn't have done that.
I know you said no but please could you upload the whole movie by part 1, etc If you put at the bottom 'No copyright infringement intended' and therefore you will not get in to trouble. Thankyou

I agree with you julianna--I was disappointed that this movie was not actually related to any of the books (because I LOVED all the "Anne books".)
I did like the movie though, I was just disappointed.
Thanks everyone! :)

I agree with you! This is all Sullivan's fault! I still like the movie & think it's great, but I'm very dissapointed too that is not based on original novels! Sullivan shouldn't have done that.

If only this movie were like the books... alas...
I liked it purely for seeing the same actors again, but the movie was too weird.. they changed the whole story!
The only war they were apart of, was fought by their son (in the book). *sigh*
