@lusaka99 they better hurry all that technology up to 2015 so we have flying cars and shoes that tie themselves like in the movie back to the future lol
@PikolUploader it doesnt, but once they get it going, it will cost less than a normal screen and it doesnt take a battery source, and that was the main problem with the psp2 prototype.
fucking companies they have the technology but they want give us 2030 yes the technology that we will see in 2030 they already have but they don't want until they get their return on the other investment
@lusaka99 Not true at all. Most companies have just enough capitol, to ensure they get a return on their investment, before continuing on to the next thing.
I think, you have the nail between your thumb and forefinger, for sure.
I bet you money that manufacturing these screens will take less time and money yet Sony is going to sell them at a price that is way higher than a standard HD TV. They think just because it's cool, that you can raise the price of the product.
@lordofhjoerring - LOL!! NICE!, then I can keep the credit for that myself... wonder why I heard Master and not Martin. LOL! I accept FULL credit, and I will now place master before my name - lol... hmm.. maybe Lord even.
imagine this thing has an HD camera, then you could just post it in a wall like a sticker and use it to capture things... you know what i mean.Lol I mean, this is a great device for the future
One day we may have TVs that you can stick on your wall. They may be like this but much bigger. I am sure this would be very expensive at first. I think it would be nice to have a 19" TV or bigger made like this that had some sort of sticky back. Imagine how much easier that would be when arranging furniture or finding room for your tv. It would be just like a large picture on the wall.
@InspiredMuse74 one day, very soon in the next 5 years t.v. will be a box you will click it on and the picture will be all around u. No speakers but still amazing sound. I talked to my grandparents about this and they actually tought me something. It already is around. Go and walk through NASA.
I have a few questions about OLED TVs. When will they come out? Will they come in a variety of sizes (whenever they are released)? Will they be 3D capable? And lastly, will they be better than plasmas? If anyone knows the answer, I would greatly appreciate a response.
And if you want, check out my 65" 3D plasma setup on my channel.
@EpiclsME These types of flexible paper thin displays, slated for a late 2011 release date. Also an organic laptop with this kind of display. and yes 3d is available with out the glasses. i forward you the video. and yes they are way better than plasmas. LCD is better than plasma, and this is more environmental and not poisonous, so to speak
This is nothing. There is so much technology that is being kept away from the mass right now.If you read about Nicola Tesla you'll understand.Just google that name. You also wanna know about free energy (zero point energy). There is so much information about these things just on youtube. I think that the people in the top of the pyramid have technology that's ca. 100 years more advanced than the technology on the market these days. read and you'll find out why and how.
100 years seems a little far fetched. Furthermore, if any country wants a certain device, they five out contracts. Almost anything developed by firms is for the consumer market, that's where the money is. Except maybe weapons research which is primarily government run.
BTW, the existence of zero-point energy is indisputable, but it's use as a source of energy violates the most basic laws of physics. Perpetual mobiles don't exist!
@bonham1981 It doesn't seem far fetched at all. When you see how and when Nicola Tesla invented things that are even far fetched for our time, don't you wonder why we aren't using those inventions? Why weren't his inventions being used and developed back then? And i'm not talking about firms that make profit of new things, or the government that is inventing weapons (they sure do). I'm talking about using the inventions of Nicola Tesla for the existence of the earth and human beings.
@bonham1981 Continued: The reason why the sponsors of Tesla stopped financing his program, is because they understood that they couldn't make profit with Nicola's invention of free energy. Well, he didn't invent it, but he sure was on his way. And what does free energy actually mean? It means the end of the existence of money. There would be no need of money anymore if everything was made for free, because energy would be free.
@bonham1981 Continued: Now that wouldn't be so nice for the money lords. Because if that would happen, their control over everything would be lost. And let's be honest,it's not the governments that run a country these days, it's the people who got money. And there aren't so many people who got real money.I may be wrong, and I really don't count that possibility out, because i am a sceptic.I don't trust anything until i really understand it. And I AM SURE THAT THERE IS SOMETHING FISHY GOING ON!!
I haven't read anything about Tesla, but energy out of the blue would be magic. I say again: perpetual mobiles don't exist. You cannot harness zero-point energy. It doesn't matter what Tesla wrote, he sure was a very productive man but even the greatest inventors make mistakes and false assumptions.
As with most other secret stuff, someday, someone blows the whistle. A disgruntled employee maybe - which has happened many times in history.
And of course, free (for common sense's sake 'cheap') energy would totally crumble the economy. On the other hand: the nation, group of people or company which controls this technology would become immensely rich.
I keep my fingers crossed for ITER. That's our best bet. Everything else is pseudoscience.
@ff8masterc ok, i tried to figure out and understand what these 'semiconducting polymers' are, but i really don't understand it. Can you explain what it is and what it has to do with my point?
@felixjetgo: Anyone that takes an OLED screen can make it small and thin. They wouldn't be able to do that if it was LCD or Plasma, OLED is the future. @itzmatt11 Well, who knows, really?
When the concept for apple's iPhone first came out on the net, people expected such classy devices to exist well into 2020...
But then, the first generation of the iPhone actually came out much earlier than even now... (2011).
I think that ultimately, it's the company that's the main issue here.
I do not think Sony is actually pushing hard for such flexible OLEDs to appear in the main consumer market currently. (They could if they tried.)
