  • hahahahaha

  • instead of standing there filming, why don't you alert the staff that this happening? Even if they already know that the birds are there, they won't care unless they think that the customers care! You could have filed a complaint for animal cruelty, but NO, you just sat there trying to make a point that wasn't going to get across to anyone. Take action, don't wait for others to do it for you!

  • '

that is why store dont want birds flys around inside the store ceiling and caca poops on the floor / on people heads

  • @Tygerlily179 This wasn't filmed by PETA, it was filmed by a customer. These were ceiling pipes, what did you want him to do?

  • Winged rodents......Do you want your food sanitary and safe for consumption, or would you prefer it to have fecal material on it? Hopefully the store resolved the issue of entry for the birds so this didn't occur again. I can't think of another effective way of removing birds from such a cavernous space other then maybe a pellet gun which would have been more humane in my opinion.

Want to save millions of birds annually......keep your cats inside.

  • @fishingtrick69 Perhaps you could tell us how inhumanely killing something is the answer to every pest control problem. I don't know what kind of monster would say that a minimal difference of effectiveness is worth slowly and painfully killing something. Ever heard of ethics or morals?

Shove your "effectiveness" bullshit up your arse. That'll be effective enough.

  • its very sad that this happens to innocent because of your idiocy i cant believe this this is what happens when your trying to be smart and hang it on a pole at mid air how would a rat even get up there your guys are such idiots >:P

  • I didn't realize after 30 sec of the video that those were sparrows... :((

  • the owner must have been really stupid to place traps there. PUT IT NEAR A SMALL CRACK OUT OF SIGHT SO THESE PROBLEMS DONT HAPPEN

  • Only one plague on this planet that seriously affects most other life -

Humans - 7 Billion of them - Dead End Species.

  • @ginganz13 hahahahaha THAT IS SO TRUE. actually...disturbingly true.

  • you can get victims off glue traps by putting some veggie oil on the trap

  • @Tygerlily179 let me explain

1there's nothing that can be done to save those birds, the glue is way to sticky and if they try to pull them off their feet and skin would remain attached to the glue so they would die anyways.

2they DO HELP by recording this and showing it to the world and it also helps as proof to punish the people who's doing this

3I don't think you have ever done ANYTHING as close as these people have done to help animals so your nobody to tell them if they are helping or not ;)

  • why would you have a glue trap up there in the first place?

  • @BudaPond101 its indoors. Imagine how hard it is to get a bird out of a large garage.

  • @BudaPond101 rats like to travel on pipes up high like that... or maybe they wanted to get rid of the birds because if they sat on that pipe they would shit on the floor of the store

  • TERRABLE

  • Those animals really can't be realistically helped... Their bones and feathers are too fragile and birds cannot handle stress as well as mammals.

They should have been shot asap.

  • @Tygerlily179

Please see the response to ProjectDv2!

  • :'( Poor bird

  • its so sad

  • you jerk those birds are alive and yet you look at them like if your watching a movie how dare you not help them what if you were a bird and you got stuck on a mouse trap wouldnt you want to be helped they have harts but you dont

  • What birds do now, to do this for them ?????????

  • i cried........ I HATE THOSE GLUE TRAPS!!!

  • dick move

  • poor harmless birds......

  • I hate the human race...

  • @paratrooper6 yes you can use cooking oil to break the glue dumb shit!

  • I think what happen here is this store had some kind of problem with these birds. If the store had complaints from customers about birds pooing on people they would have to solve the problem somehow. I'm sure they didn't want it to go this way, but they have to get rid of them. Birds as you know can fly and very hard to trap. Also they carry some illness. I just wish they would have done it closer to the ground to be able to put the out quicker.

  • OMG YOU PEOPLE ARE MORINIC! THEY COULDN'T HELP THEM!

  • @paratrooper6 then why put them up!!!!

  • ATTENTION!!PETA DID NOT FILM THIS!!So it was tolate

  • This is cruel and inhumane.

  • @Tygerlily179 I think you should read the description

  • @Tygerlily179 peta couldn't help them. it was obviously too late too. this video was filmed by some other company, who sent the video to peta. don't blame peta pelase.

  • PeTA is more concerned with being in front of cameras and making a scene than actually helping animals.

  • @ProjectDv2

PETA got these traps permanently pulled to prevent future animals from being cruelly harmed and even got criminal charges filed in this case! Please check your facts before you post commentary like this.

  • @ProjectDv2 finally someone tht isnt a fucking idot thankyou

  • @ProjectDv2 uhm.... first, the ones "in front of the cameras" are the animals not them

Second, they record this videos so they can show the world (us) what is happening to the animals and also the video helps as proof so the responsible might get it's punishment

    Hope this helped ;)

  • why are you people justing standing there!!! Go do something and help!!!!! I can never imagine that to my birds!!!

  • @Tygerlily179 VA ska killen göra?

  • @Tygerlily179 stfu and read the description

  • ma non sapete adoperare le gabbiette per i topi invece di fare questo massacro............. peggio dei cacciatori!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!che crudelta' gratuita!!!!

  • this is wrong they have babies to feed

  • This is absolutely awful. Look at how the poor bird struggles to get off, helpless as it sits there to slowly die with its hole body and head glued to a pole. THIS IS NOT HUMANE PEOPLE! ITS TORTURE , ITS ANIMAL CRUELTY. LIKE US HUMANS , ANIMALS HAVE FEELINGS. THIS KIND OF ANIMAL TRAP SHOULD BE ILLEGAL AROUND THE WHOLE WORLD. SICKENING !

  • @DB1296 Humans are animals, It's a fact..

  • This is disturbing. If you can get to the glue traps, use vegetable or not oil to gently release the bird from the glue. This technique also works well for releaseing all the innocent mice that are caught on these kinds of diabolical glue traps as well.

  • If a rat/mouse breaks it's legs and dies veeery slooowly - it's good.

If any other animal dies in it - it's bad.

They are the same intelligent, the same important for our planet and the same cute. Please, don't kill any animals if it's possible. You can use a cage trap and let them free far, far away.

  • @MrUnnamed005 i agree, people weep at birds but laugh at mice? wtf is wrong with people? would they like it? atleast use a quick trap, glue traps are just fucking cruel

  • @MrUnnamed005 I KNOW RIGHT? my nanny broke my heart the other day she's just like "we don't like people who do these things to animals" next day we find a toad crossing the driveway and she's like "should i squish it?!" then she's like "squuuuuiiiiiise! dead now" "did i get? hope i got it" and it just seems sadistic =(

  • I also think that its cruel, but people "Think" how the hell are they gonna help them? well........ they could kill them to end their pain, but if they tried to save them also romove them from the glue, they would probably lose their feathers legsmor even wings. so even if you feel sorry for the birds, try to be realistic and think logical

  • @FishHunt95 Ok, I really don't think a high percentage of PETA supporters have the reputation for thinking logically. But I do find them entertaining :-)

  • what place is it???

  • Sisck Just Horrid I wanna Work in rspca to prvent this hey whoever did this wud u like no hmm no

  • Mice are one thing, birds are another. :(

  • @MrFreemaan No, not "one thing". Torture is wrong whether you're doing it to a bird, or a mouse. Stop with the double standards please.

  • Rise up this mornin',

    Smiled with the risin' sun,

    Three little birds

    Pitch by my doorstep

    Singin' sweet songs

    Of melodies pure and true,

Sayin', "This is my message to you-ou-ou"

  • well sparrows are a pest in some places

  • Its's the bird's fault

  • I'm not too big on this subject, but it's pretty obvious why they filmed them instead of helping them.

Filming and making a video would have a much larger impact as it promotes awareness towards the issue. Just ask the 70,000+ people who watched this video.

Now, if they were to help the birds in any way to escape the traps without filming it, the few birds would be saved, as opposed to the many that could be prevented if more people would be aware and would limit the use of glue traps.

    The end.

  • why don't you help this poor little bird instead of filming

  • To release from glue trap, just pour vegetable oil on them.

  • i don't like rats or mice if they get in my house i would NOT kill or harm the animal in anyway. i would call a friend to do it. why would someone want death in there house?

  • Its just a casualty of war

  • Peta, why the hell did u not save those animals instead of leaving them there to die.

    poor little sparrows

  • and now we wait!

  • Poor bird.

    kinda funny though

  • omg this is so sad..........i can't even watch this anymore

  • @Tygerlily179 either they are too high or they already called for help or they want to show proof of the suffering or something.

  • Sucks for them they don't have hands!

  • tell me this, would you rather help these birds or people getting killed and raped in third world countries? i'm not against animal rights but a human life is more valuable than an animal that would've died a month later. a human can create and help our advancement in technology to help prevent this "accident" from happening, a bird can only give moral support.

post this elsewhere or thumbs up if you agree.

  • PETA, I'm very disappointed. Why didn't ye help these birds?! I'm a vegetarian myself, and I just couldn't stand there doing nothing!

  • I'm sorry, but you guys should know to no set traps on places where birds are likely to perch... yeah I know rats will go up there, but there's tonnes of other smarter places. Fools.

  • @Johnmunn01 Actually, those were probably set for the birds. If pigeons are called flying rats, the Eurasian House Sparrow should be nick named the flying house mouse.

  • awwwwwwwwwww

  • This is evolution at work. The birds were stupid enough to fly onto glue traps....

  • WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU PUT THAT SHIT ON CELLING PIPES, ARE YOU A COMPLETE FUCKING IDIOT OF COURSE A BIRD WOULD GET CAUGHT ON THAT HO. FUCKING STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who places mouse traps sideways?

  • you guys are retarded... this wasnt filmed by PETA, it was filmed by a Fred Meyer customer, and was sent to them so PETA could show the public why glue traps should be banned. PETA had nothing to do with the recording of this video. idiots.

  • They are doing the same thing to people , maybe not in u.s but outside u.s to other countrys it's all about money and bussines any thing or anybody get on their way must die

  • this video is 3 minutes and 23 seconds long. Couldn't call a janitor and ask for a ladder in that amount of time, peta?

  • fuck bro if it was rat its cool but birds hell no

  • @TheNohonorpker You want to kill rats? Since when have rats hurt you?

  • Lol, theres so many idiots here in comments

  • That'll teach em to shit all over the house

  • why don't you go find all the 'doors' I am all for saving animals and this is just plain cruel but honestly there are better ways to keep birds out

  • ima get the idiot who put those up ther..and stick it to his fuck sack!! FREE THE BIRDS!!!!!! THEY NVR DID ANYTHING TO U!!!..if u dont want them in..close da FACKING DOORS U IDIOTS!!!

  • So... What pokemon do they eat in the pokemon land?

  • Humans enjoy making animals suffer...Just kill them and let them reborn in another life.

  • The hell?

    whats wrong with this people?

How can a bird harm you?

Just do like they do in costco and some other places speakers making a sound of a eagle or their natural predator.

  • LIQUID VEGETABLE OIL WORKS WELL ON FREEING ANY ANIMAL FROM GLUE TRAPS!!!!!! Ideally you wash the oil off of them after.

  • perhaps they did help the birds!! these films need to be made people!!

  • WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?

  • i would've done the same damn thing if birds kept getting into my store.

  • the traps are for rats and mice

  • lol

  • fucking asshole animale motherfucker

  • You are one sick fuck. Enough said.

  • Just shoot the birds dead instead of filming this !!

  • wow whoever did this needs to be put i a human size glue trap . freaking loosers

  • @elvisfanuno

That's the PETA spirit! Screw humans! Let's torture humans because humans are soooo evil! (sarcasm)

  • For those wondering what was done, the traps were tied to the ceiling rafters out of public reach. The store manager was asked but refused to take down the traps or relieve the suffering of the birds. Police came that evening, but did not immediately order removal before getting animal control involved the following morning. Video was taken when there appeared to be no other options. It wasn't until this footage aired on local news that Fred Meyer hq ordered glue traps removed from all stores.

  • it made myself a glue trap when i was a kid and i used elmer's glue

  • @AwsomeCyberPunk If you read the comments, a lot of people "give a shit". It's wrong to make something suffer, period. Rat, bird, whatever.

  • @AwsomeCyberPunk Stupid hypocritical idiot. I care if it's a rat too, because it can feel pain just like a bird can, you moron.

  • @HTankey Now i would call this crule.. Unlike a mouse..

  • To everybody who complains about filming this:

I'm pretty sure that the person who has filmed this has tried to help these birds somehow or at least thought about it. But if you just walk along there and suddenly see those birds you have to get up there first to free them. If the trap layer is around there somewhere, you might get into some trouble. Filming makes it generally possible to see what those cruel traps do. That's why it is necessary. Otherwise lot less people would realize it.

  • FUK THIS TRA;P STOP KILLING BIRD

  • Omg, this is awful. Yeah, let's just film this and not do anything to help these poor birds. What is this supposed to prove anyways, that you're supposed to just film these animals suffering and not do anything about it?

  • @celebilover23pokemon Why are you assuming nothing was done? It was filmed to show how bad they are... how can they prove it otherwise? For all we know, they saved the birds afterwards. =/

  • you are a real sick person how can you do thisand why?:-(

  • What the f *** are they doing. I´m allmost crying. Please help them, can´t stand it. Theese innocent birds. Peta why don´t u help them???? U says u help animals?? Why this, u could help theese birds. This is PETA CRUELTY

  • @2XAJ7 Glue traps aren't made so that anything caught can be released, the bird would be better off dead than being torn from the trap.

  • @2XAJ7 you idiot, someone filmed this and sent it into peta you dumbfuck.

  • @2XAJ7 I'm going to buy a budgie and feed it to my cat tomorrow, just to honour your wise comment.

  • @2XAJ7 @evm2007 this is a customer filming this. Read Description, thank you very much.

  • @2XAJ7 stfu and read the description

  • Dont film them! Help!!!

When Birds hang head over heels they dying very fast!

  • This is so sad. There is absolutely no reason to place glue traps where birds can get caught, suffer, and die. Considering how many animals other than pests I've seen videos of caught in glue traps it makes sense that the glue traps should be discontinued. Did anybody even try to help the birds? Disgusting. If I saw this in a store I would never return.

  • @timetaster And how about the "pests" themselves? A mouse for example will suffer extremely on those things - they should be discontinued because they're too inhumane full stop.

  • @Chocabloc84

again a great reply! put a RAT n the trap and its "great kill it, burn it, deserves it right!" nothing about how crule the trap is and how it contruibutes to a slow death but put a BIRD in it then its "oh my god do something! help it! save it thats so crule!" wow, way to be big and happy ppl that once supportd the Glue Traps. views changed now huh!

  • Lets put the inventor of this on a giant one for a week to see how he feels.

  • @rgmike great idea

  • terrible terrible terrible terrible terrible

i'd like to put the body of the people that use this traps in a rapid cement...the only one solution that i see...

  • omg what if those were my chicklings... j/j

BTW if you take it down you can untrap them simply by dredging them in canola or vegetable oil. kinda hard to ignore frantic cries of help for days on end and not do anything, unless you really want them to die

  • So... Instead of helping them, you filmed them struggling to get free & watch them suffer to death? Really now? If you're supposed to help animals, then at least film yourselves helping them, other then watching them squirm in pain of trying to get to freedom, when freedom is just watch them

  • @xxxDarkAngelFrankxxx Who is to say they didn't help them afterwards? Or caught it on film the moment of discovering them when it was too late?

If not for these kinds of videos, then how would people be aware of how cruel they are? If it stops their use, even if only a little, then that's a good thing is it not?

  • @xxxDarkAngelFrankxxx These videos were not filmed by PETA.

  • human did to much..

  • Nice video camera, What is it

  • Thats why is says INDOOR USE ONLY ON THE BACK!

  • They used a inhumane trap that supposed to catch vermin in your house and used it on beautiful birds that are supposed to fly freely... makes me sick

  • @poomplexsoljah Sounds like you only care about the birds and not the rats and mice?

  • man this is fuken cruel but its also genius

  • wtf is wrong with them! why would they do something like this!? i get its annoying to some people that birds get in the store but its there own damn fault they leave the doors open! why make birds suffer?

  • This is an absolutely sickening sight. NO animal should have to suffer like that. I can't even bear to watch it, or hear them chirping while I'm writing this. I think glue traps should be outlawed altogether as they cause so much suffering before the mouse or bird dies; not to mention other small animals that get caught in them...moles, frogs, squirrels, salamanders...they are as inhumane as hell.

  • wow thats wrong... let bird live :c!!

  • wow thats wrong... let birdys live :c

  • You don't need to be supporter of PETA to understand the pain that animals go through. They might not be as intelligent as humans, but they exhibit many of the same basic emotions and definitely feel pain.

  • is that queen in the background ?

  • NOOOO not the bird nooooooooo

  • dude, come on. at least kill the poor thing.

  • thats horrible how come no one came to help them!

  • i dont care about rats and mouses

    but no birds

  • @angerfista1 Then you have no reason to bitch about the cruelty of such devices. Idiot.

  • @angerfista1 Why?

  • I know why the glued bird sings. Cuz life sucks.

  • poor birds use a shotgun u mf !

  • how the hell did i end up here after searching qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm?! i love that vid...

  • This is just disgusting!

  • HAHAHAH...i have no heart

  • Stupid filmers.....just remove and rescue them... They are NOT BUGS!!! I can't stand your immature performing torturing the animals!!

  • @JADEAV, fuck you. Bugs have feelings too. What's your problem against bugs, you make me sick, i am disgusted by what you said. I am crying because of what you said. Im just kidding i dont really care about either of those animals. What did you mean by that last sentence though, it doesn't really make sense.

  • This is a great way for Fred Meyer to distinguish themselves in the marketplace

  • PetSmart uses glue traps and I used to check them where I knew pets could and did get stuck in them. Most the time the were dead by the time I could check but there were a few times that I had to rush hamsters and some mice to the emergency vet because they ripped skin off themselves or broke legs trying to get free.

  • Fail

  • BAN ALL TRAPS LIKE THIS

  • OMG this is awful.

  • Im not peta person, but this is simply sad, my last name is bird and I happen to love birds, I'v saved birds, but this is disgusting, Theres a difference between simple insects, and then highly intelligent animals (all animals feel pain by the way.)

  • @Kiptlan People who sue them like this should die a slow, painful death like all the other animals they've killed like this.

  • Peta is so stupid their against everything yeah there are better ways and this is a problem but who gives a shit donate to cancer or something that actually helps in a large way

  • Well I hope whoever taped this got these birds off the traps as soon as they were finished documenting it.

If not they are just one sick fuck.

  • I like birds, i do not like this video, i mean theres gotta be another way.

  • why should I donate when i see this?

  • The better question that could be asked would be WHY ARE THERE SPARROWS IN THE STORE?

  • wow...he just stood there n video tape it.......

  • depending where this happened - if in non native habitats i wouldnt mind, i mean yeah ive raised some but they were more of to make them stop nesting near my house. in non native habitats they kill eggs and birds that are native to the place. theyve killed blue jays where i live

  • Is PETA against snap traps too? Just an honest question.

  • @Stamm32089 You can't even compare the two. Snap traps kill instantly at least, whereas glue traps just leave them suffering horribly.

  • @Stamm32089 Snap traps aren't NEARLY as cruel as glue.

  • Glue traps aren't made for the outdoors dumb ass! And why the fuck would you put them up there? You are sick and probably put them up there on purpose!

  • So Meijers just has dead birds rotting above the shoppers head at all times? LOL Meijers is sick.

  • WTF these are birds!! HOLY SHIT assholes! i thought these were rats

  • They are pests so why not let them suffer?

  • @raymondleeleggs Because we should not be cruel like that. It is pointless and does nothing. There's no excuse for it.

Maybe if someone calls you a pest and decides to torment you unnecessarily, maybe you'll understand that kindness and empathy is a virture.

  • @raymondleeleggs you're a fool if u think sparrows are pests. They help control the mosquito, and other flying insects which are truly pests. Why not take your aggression out on mice. They are nastier and carry diseases.

  • @HugoIStayHere Sparrow droppings carry a multitude of diseases. They defecate in food courts, and are a serious problem in grain farms. Maybe we should take out our aggression on each other, since we are nastier than both and carry disease too?

Point is not to use glue traps, period!

  • Those traps are bad, They not only kill the animals you want to kill but some other like you saw. Even the glue traps for insects often trap Bats , I removed 3 bats of a Sticky insect trap but im not sure if they made it trough, Use something more appropriate like a Rat zapper or mouse traps. Those work best.

  • the filmer of this vid could of helped that bird......

  • Go to the Purple Martin forums and you'll see a horde of people do things like this to trap sparrows. Disgusting.
