@luigi19987 4 months ago when you posted this comment I would have probably agreed; however STO is still very much alive, and doing much better than ever new content is coming out every week; a huge amount of new ships have just been released including a BOP which can fire Torps while cloaked, the Nebula Class, NX-01 class (for Lt rank, I want a VA one) and many others.

The game is really picking up speed now; it was close to dying a few months back, but it is doing much better now.

The cryptic engine is by far the most advanced MMO engine out there, unfortunately cryptic rushed CO out so soon they didn't have the high level content ready, theres a level gap between 30-35 where there are barely any missions... Otherwise its an AWESOME game, except for some issues about immortality in PVP.... xD well i doubt STO will have that problem.

Hopefully this is actually good. I likely won't play it, but I still wish them the best. So many Star Trek games have promised so much but have ended up letting the viewer down. It would be sweet if for once they came out with a game where you play as a person and not an entire ship in 3rd person.

Rarely mess up? They've only released 3 other games before Star Trek Online. City of Heroes/Villains were both utter failures. The only reason when they have expansion packs is because Cryptic are desperate enough to still try and rake in cash from them.

And Champions Online is just a City Of Heroes rehash.
