Carlton Pearson is still confused...he misses the truth (Christianity!!) and keeps referring back to it...same gender loving...no, same gender sin...one cannot mix Christ and foolishness and call it reason and common sense...so sad, Come to Jesus just NOW!!
It's strange how man keeps feeling the need to "Re-Imagine" his relationship with God.
I guess it's an easy way to sell books or build a following among the biblically illiterate.
2 Timothy 4:3-4 are so true . . .
"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."
"For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt."
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
"“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."
John 14:6
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
@Bill244888 ::: The bible is not the 'word of God'. There is no religion in the afterlife. Christianity is just a continuation of Mithra, Krishna, Osiris.
"Christianity in not from the Jews, but from the Greeks. It is a combination of the Platonic and Alexandrian doctrines, with the doctrines of Apollonius of Tyana..." Cyrillus Luchar in "Antiquity Unveiled"
Carlton is right in leaving just another false religion. He serves God without the baggage of Christian doctrine.
So how do you know what "god" you are worshipping?
"Christianity is just a continuation of Mithra, Krishna, Osiris." Hard to rationalize that when Christ (the basis for "Christ"ianity) clearly claimed to be the only way to the Father and when God claimed that there are no other gods but Him.
I know it's convenient because you think you're never really accountable to the one true God, but in the bible God makes clear and exclusive claims about His absolute power and authority over all.
@Bill244888 There is only one God, The Creator, the Great Spirit, the Architect of the Universe. False gods make claims too. The claims of Jesus are made in the Christian bible and nowhere else. The one true God is all-powerful and needs no middle-men or saviors to help Him handle His creation.
I think if you were honest your real god is yourself. You seem to pick and choose teachings from various sources and fashion a god of your own liking. One that is acceptable to you. The problem is that God by definition is outside of us, beyond us. He reveals Himself as he sees fit, not as we would make Him to be. We as the creatures must conform and submit to Him as He is, not the other way around.
@Bill244888 ::: I do reserve the right to reason and think. "God by definition is outside of us"??? I always thought the definition of God was that He is everywhere present. He reveals Himself thru His creation, not necessarily thru books. He is the power of life within us. Without His presence, we would not live.
@Bill244888 ::: Who was it that needed to give us this permission? We are free thinkers, able to reason and comprehend. Some believe in no God, some the Christian God, some the Islamic God.
@Bill244888 :: I do not trust 'him'. I trust the contents of the book because it speaks to me of reality and reason, far and beyond anything the Christian bible does.
why do you have to reimagine a religion ? ..... and why do people think that Minister Carlton is going to a supernatural everlasting holocaust fire pit oven . What is with all this doctrine of supernatural punishment ? ..... Its not real it supernatural right .... I mean is are you fo real ??????
Mr. Peason....the voice you heard was the Devil.....You are preaching reason........reason that's all......the Devil is going to Laugh at you when you enter into Hell......and say...I fooled you....Please sir...Turn from this doctrine of Demons....please while you still have time....Their's A Way that SEEMS Right to MAN.........but at the end............God loves you and I know that you Know this......But...He will not accept you.... under another Doctrine...Jesus is THE WORD OF GOD....literally
Carlton is preaching a message that will win souls for the devil. The devil wants people to believe that there are no consequences to their actions, that there's no hell and everyone will die and go to heaven. If that's the case, WHY DID GOD SEND HIS SON TO DIE ON THE CROSS? WHY MAKE SUCH A SACRIFICE IF IN THE END IT DOESN'T MATTER? Carlton changed his mind about God but God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God's plan is set and to those who believe, eternity is promised.
Such a great message. Carlton Pearson represents the religion I've been looking for all my life, and I grew up in a conservative religious family. I've changed a lot myself since those days.
This is so inspiring! I was raised on Bishop Pearson's messages & his evolution is very encouraging! He has always been brilliant, but he seems even more insightful now, if that's even possible!

Where do you get your understanding of God from?
You call God "The Creator, the Great Spirit, the Architect of the Universe" Where did you get this information from?
Where did you learn that God is all powerful?
Bill244888 1 month ago
@Bill244888 ::: My understanding of the Creator comes mostly from a book I accept as my bible, the Oahspe. The Architect of the Universe is Masonic.

You mentioned muslims, Christians, atheists each of these claims exclusive truth. They can't all be true.
Something can't be true and not true.

And a tribesman raised as a cannibal sees nothing wrong with eating other humans. Does that mean his understanding is true and reasonable?
Bill244888 1 month ago
@Bill244888 ::: It is for him at that time. The Donner party had to resort to cannibalism to survive. Is cannibalism prohibited in the bible?

You know why Bishop Charles E. Blake won't criticize Bishop Pearson? Its because it was he (Blake) who actually consecrated him (Pearson).
