It's strange how man keeps feeling the need to "Re-Imagine" his relationship with God.

I guess it's an easy way to sell books or build a following among the biblically illiterate.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 are so true . . .

Carlton is right in leaving just another false religion. He serves God without the baggage of Christian doctrine.

So how do you know what "god" you are worshipping?

"Christianity is just a continuation of Mithra, Krishna, Osiris." Hard to rationalize that when Christ (the basis for "Christ"ianity) clearly claimed to be the only way to the Father and when God claimed that there are no other gods but Him.

I know it's convenient because you think you're never really accountable to the one true God, but in the bible God makes clear and exclusive claims about His absolute power and authority over all.

@Bill244888 There is only one God, The Creator, the Great Spirit, the Architect of the Universe. False gods make claims too. The claims of Jesus are made in the Christian bible and nowhere else. The one true God is all-powerful and needs no middle-men or saviors to help Him handle His creation.

How do you know that book is true?

I think if you were honest your real god is yourself. You seem to pick and choose teachings from various sources and fashion a god of your own liking. One that is acceptable to you. The problem is that God by definition is outside of us, beyond us. He reveals Himself as he sees fit, not as we would make Him to be. We as the creatures must conform and submit to Him as He is, not the other way around.

He reveals Himself thru His creation, not necessarily thru books. He is the power of life within us. Without His presence, we would not live.

Carlton is preaching a message that will win souls for the devil. The devil wants people to believe that there are no consequences to their actions, that there's no hell and everyone will die and go to heaven. If that's the case, WHY DID GOD SEND HIS SON TO DIE ON THE CROSS? WHY MAKE SUCH A SACRIFICE IF IN THE END IT DOESN'T MATTER? Carlton changed his mind about God but God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God's plan is set and to those who believe, eternity is promised.

You know why Bishop Charles E. Blake won't criticize Bishop Pearson? Its because it was he (Blake) who actually consecrated him (Pearson).

Such a great message. Carlton Pearson represents the religion I've been looking for all my life, and I grew up in a conservative religious family. I've changed a lot myself since those days.

This is so inspiring! I was raised on Bishop Pearson's messages & his evolution is very encouraging! He has always been brilliant, but he seems even more insightful now, if that's even possible!
