wow thanks tulip and jovial, wow you sure are ownage at miner disturbance jovial, aswell as escape vector o.o very nice, thanks for the info anyways :)
If you try to count how much time you can use the hydraulic fist before triggering an eruption, you are very likely to notice you end up with a different value each time.
However i didn't forget that the seismograph shake each time you don't end up clearing a piece of dirt by punching it, I decided to record
-how many time I caused a disruption
-how many time I didn't
I ended up triggering the volcano after 316 disruption each time. i'll let you conclude... :P
wow, then you look very good at every detail. But from seeing your other comment (from the volcano strength),
is it then better to damage the rock with your pick and then clear it with the fist? Just to have a single "pickaxe disruption"?Cause fist give the same disruption as a cave in, just for damaging it, not for destroying it?
a tiny percentage of the volcano strength is removed if you tap a rock with the pickaxe. If this strength falls to 0 the volcano will errupt.
If you punch a piece of dirt/snow, two things can happen:
1-the rock crack and is eventually moved. This causes disruption just like a failing rock and is not good.
2-the rock can't be moved at all and will disapear in a cloud of smoke. This won't cause any disruption. If you compare this with "taping", it saves the tiny bit of volcano strength!
can somebody send me download link please?

how did you came up on the idea that punching damaged rocks makes the volcano erupting less early?
( sorry for my weak english)

hey jovial, just wondering at around 0.20 why were you punching them last instead of mining them?

He has a thread on the arcade forum about it, it actually makes the volcano erupt less early. :P
