  • Thats the freebie software we used back then. Adware embedded. Ignore it

  • can't read whatever it is that keeps popping up in the middle of the screen

  • I love it!! and my B&G loves watching it too!! You've done a great job with Ray!

  • This video was taken when Ray was still a baby at less than 2 years old. He is now about 5 years old - a toddler! They live from 60-80 years when well cared for.

  • How old can be such a bird?

  • That is one COOL bird!

  • If you listen to any other Macaws, you will note they all usually have a very similar voice with very little variation other than regional accents. Other parrots, especially like our African Grey Kota, will often have the ability to very precisely mimic several different voices. Also fyi - Ray has never been DNAd so we don't know for sure if he is a he or a she so a "girl" voice may be right on the mark!

  • Too bad you made Him sound like a girl

    cool bird though

  • OMG I love Parrots they are so cute

  • He is so adorable!!!

  • what a beautiful bird!! and clever too! my b&g doesnt talk much as hes 14 now but he looooved watching this video! got all excited

  • @Kisumi87 They are never too old to learn more or start. Our Amazon is over 30 and still picks up new stuff all the time

  • aww what a wonderful bird, my b&g cannot talk much as he is quite old now but he loooooved watching this video with me!

  • hehehehe

  • sweet so sweet tht is soo cool i have a budgie and it speaks but it swears though lol :p xxxx

  • i have a cockatiel called ray!!

  • he said quack quack <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 i absolutely LOVE this bird :D

  • Not only does he say meow, but when you don't ask he what the kitty says, he asks himself "what does the kitty say? MEOW!"

  • in the beginging it sounded like he said Hey marvin!

  • ROFL!!!! Meow

  • he likes to meow..lol he is so cute

  • LMAO

  • One of my Blue and golds fav things to say is peek a boo its so cute.

  • He really likes that "meow". ;)

  • lol, Such a silly bird. It's always fun to teach them new phrases. My grandmothers Congo says "Help let me out, I'm a prisoner." and she grumbles along to old phone conversations.

  • LOL "what does a rooster say" :MEOW: lmaoooooooooooo!

  • hahaha

  • He is so sweet and clever!!! And Your African gray!!! "What about some water"?:-) The parrots are the most intelligent animals in my opinion!! I adore them!!

  • Aweee ♥

  • unbelievable...nice. Can brids converse with right practise? Do they understand what they are talking?

  • Ray knows what he is saying and how to get what he wants by saying certain things - he only asks for potatoes when I am cooking potatoes. My gray regularly says "I wanna come out" and then rattles the locks or "How about some water?" when his water bottle is empty. They are extremely smart!

  • your bird is so cute :)

  • The owner sounds like they're from my home state of Minnesota. Very cute bird! Almost as cute as mine.

  • for the longest time i refused to believe there were actually people with this accent, i was convinced it was an invention of television to depict stereotypical tourists "oh heiy der yah, don-chano?" ect. then i met someone from wisconsin. and then i just couldnt resist- i went to minnesota with a texan friend of mine, resulting in epic lulz.

  • Wellll honey, you juss go-wan and bah-lieve that Texans aint got no accent ta speak of, bless your heart.

I'll just stick with my Macaw who speaks "hotdish"

  • First: WOW! Someone that can actually reasonably imitate a southern accent! Awesome! Though really, that's more Georgia than Texas. Second: I wasn't mocking you, nor do I think Texans have no accent, quite the opposite. That was, in fact, my reasoning for bringing him along. I was merely observing that there are two "northern" accents, and that yours is the more uncommon in my experience. :)

  • It's all cool. We have a thriving Hispanic migrant population and several different Native American communities up here mixed in with old school Scandanavian folks like my FIL - someone who actually pronounces north as "Nort" - it all makes for interesting and spicey listening.

  • Very cool Macaw. I don't think I would be able to offer one this kind of attention on regular basis, unfortunately.

  • Pika Boo! I See you! You look pretty! XD

  • Very cute : )

  • KWAK KWAK KWAK

    MAN HE PICKS FAST

  • lmao bless confused parrot, very sweet i would love to have a macaw

  • He is beautiful. So very smart.

  • Oh Red! Ray is awesome! Our Midland will be 2 in July. His vocabulary is no where near Ray's. He can say things like, come here, gimme kiss, hi, Midland, pretty boy, and some other little things. Have any recommendations on how to increase Midlands vocab??

  • We talk to our birds just like we would a child in the house - make a big deal when he talks rather than yells and you will get more results too. Try (hard as that may be) to ignore yelling - not everyone in the house has an easy time ignoring that yell though. lol. Just get as excited as you can when he talks or even sounds like he is saying something - respond to every attempt "Oh really, and then what?" was one of Ray's first whole sentences.

  • i love love ray he is so neet

he must want to be a cat real bad

  • What a darling BG. I have 4, all of them talk and they all like to tease, just like yours. I think they like making us try to correct them.

  • lol apparently all animals meow now. :P Very cute!

  • smart and cute bird! When i was in puerto vallarta there was a bird that perfectly mimicked the sound of a flushing toilet, lol!!!

  • if i put my bird in the shower he gets real nervous and starts talking nonstop

  • How adorable!! My BG Macaw likes to meow a lot too! Along with clucking like a chicken! They're so much fun to have!!

  • OMG this is just so cute!!!!

  • aww cuute! I miss my parrot :(

  • I bet if you say Dog instead of another two syllable word with the ie or y on the end because they sound too much alike to something that has no sense of English just sounds. Try Dog and Duck very different.

  • lol very funny and crazy bird :D

  • OMG! This is a very talented bird. I own a blue and gold macaw as well. How did you teach him all those words. Must have taken a lot of time....:)

  • cute!

  • **giggles** i want a meowing bird! ^_^

  • OMG XD

(i think he's playin cat on perpouse. x3

  • lol

  • ADORABLE i want one hehe

  • no u dont watch my evil parrot video, it will change your thoughts completely

  • haha ok then lets have a look

  • What does the dog say

    Ray: Meow!

    LOL soooo funny!!!

  • Amazing!

    How old is your parrot?

I vote 5 stars for you!

  • Ray is going on 3 years old. He is a joy to have around, smart as a whip, but screams when he doesn't get his way. We take the good with the bad - thats just Ray.

  • We have a Scarlet named Pippin(she's about 8 months) that loves to watch Ray ;)She also occasionally screams when she doesn't get her way; or her Ray video! LOL

  • Watching other birds is the best way for them to learn new things. Ray learned some of his words watching Diego on YT. Watching on YT is the cheapest and cleanest way for them to learn - lol!!!

  • how much are theses?

i love Parots.. i really want one

  • Go to my page link - you will see a list of info on owning a parrot. Some of them seem like I'm joking - but it's all pretty much true - HOURS of work, ear splitting noise, damaged household goods, lots of mess, huge expenses for the next 40 - 60 years. If you can happily commit to that madness, then by all means you SHOULD get a parrot - or a lobotomy. lol.

  • i dont think "theses" is a word, lol

  • Oooh ohh!!! I know! Petsmart-$19.99

  • He's a good talker. We have a Blue & Gold and my husband taught her to say "Redrum" from the movie "The Shining". It's pretty funny. I love it when your bird says "I see you!" Very, very cute.

  • i think it is cute that he can do amimal sounds lol cool as

  • he sure does love to meow

    =)

    he is simply adorable

  • Parrot got his animal sounds mixed up, but is pretty darned smart anyway.

  • parrots are one of the most smart animals i know, there so beatufile!

  • He is very talented. How old is he? Our 13 yr old has a pretty good vocab, he doesn't do it on command. However, our little African Grey is listening in the backround and saying "peek-a-boo" right now! She's never said it before, Thanks Ray....

  • Ray is a 2.5 yo second hand parrot. He certainly rivals our Grey in speaking ability and its all a game to him. The Grey is too proud to do something as lowly as speak on command - lol

  • We adopted Zachary about a year ago. He had been reliquished two times before we met him. He is 13 years old. He had lived at the sanctuary for 2 years this last time. He is a wonderful Macaw, he just needed the right kind of love.

The word of the day: Peek-a-boo!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • this is the cutest parrot ever... give em time..hell learn

  • love yuh bird nothing cuter then that well done.

  • that is soo cute you have one amazing birdy!!!♥-§

  • Ray is adorable. I think I want to take him home, lol.

    Parrots are soo sweet

  • he is so cute and funny it seems to me that he likes cats???? LOL

  • funny teach him how to do the cow moooooo

  • We are currently working on Mooo and Oink Oink. He has the Turkey gobble down pat now.

  • where's Ray? Cute! I raised macaws years ago. Their beautiful, smart parrots and seems you sure love Ray!

  • What a talker!

  • ohhh how cute! i want one!!

  • Ray loves animal sounds as much as he loves showers. He learned the "What does the Duckie say?" bit from watching another bird (Diego - GW) on YouTube.

  • the bird likes kitties lol

  • So cute! and so talented. You obviously love your bird and pay him a lot of attention. :)
