Dude ur list is sick big ups. My list is a bit more mainstream. I got ur #1 as my #4 & ur #4 as my #1. Some of my top 25 were albums from 09 that I did not know about like Diamond District untill 2010 & Ghostface album came late in the year so that will be considered for my 2011 list. I almost considered 9th & DB, Shad, Marciano, Qwel & Maker, Skyzoo & illmind, Blacastan, Here is my list

Well....this list is interesting..i agree with all of it..except maybe switch TSOL with MBDTF....in my opinion MBDTF was the most disapointing album of the year..Kayne could do soo much better.

A great list as always.I was really pleasently surprised that you put Earl on your top 25,but in my opinionion it should have been higher.I still to this day can't understand why everyone loves Kanye's new album.I've listened to it a few times,it's definitely good,but I don't think that it should be in the top 5.

i couldn't agree more with the top 5. if i had one omission i thought should've been there it's in Talib's Revolutions Per Minute but it's hard for me to try and choose an album on the list i think it should replace lol. so no complaints.

@icronianson I was really looking forward to this album, but in my opinion it was one of the most disappointing albums of the year. I only really enjoyed about 5 of the 17 tracks. His new album Gutter Rainbows is an overall better album IMO, but it still also fell short of my expectations. I just think Kweli has to have a better ear for beats. SAME GOES FOR NAS. Just my two cents.

I really couldn't find an album in your top 25 that i thought shouldn't be over Revolutions Per Minute which is why i wouldn't jump up and down in complaint. i was just a little surprised it wasn't an honorable mention. but your point about the beats was absolutely right (especially with nas). i think some of talib's verses were a little watered down. though to me there were 7 tracks that was vintage kweli.

Apollo Brown's The Reset should be somewhere on this list. It was best produced album, behind only Kno's "Death is Silent"

Just out of curiousity, what did u think of the DPG album 100 Wayz? No joke, were you kind of surprised by it... I found it surprisingly good I was bumpin that for a good part of the year. Not sayin its up there with these joints but compared to all of the garbage they been spewing since Dogg Food... peace.
