Most aren't really like this. Philosophy professors are excellent at being... well, a bit off. But their lessons are infinitely better because of it.

if you actually watch south park and think about the meaning of episodes, you'll find there's a lot to learn from it. it comments on things like government, religion, and society.

of course, it's also hilarious.

I wacthed South Park and I thought it would just be a bunch of stupid fart and poop jokes (well those were there too) but a lot of it was quite insightful. I remember the episode with the evil Wal Mart was quite a satire, and so was when Butters went to a camp to cure him of being bicurious.

Wrong. If you actually watch and listen and think about what is happening in the episodes (and especially, watch more than 1 or 2 of them) you will see that it for people who are not only thinking, but perhaps even thinking a bit more outside the box than yourself. It is one of the most socially relevant shows on television that should be blatantly obvious. You must be at least somewhat oblivious to miss that.

If I have anything to say about it: it's great! in 1997, it was original, new humour. Most of the episodes have a profound sociopolitic message.
