I was there a couple of weekends ago and really wanted to do the XC route but unfortunatly it was over run with bloody scramblers and quads. The noise was deafening and there disregard for the local laws was disgusting. The tracks were being torn to pieces. I tried calling the Forestry Commisions number and local council but as it was a Sunday there was no answer. Its a shame these idiots continue to blight the area. Hope they get there cumeuppance one day. Hope they break some bones.

Too bad this trail will be damaged by all the skidding. I can't believed you filmed yourselves skidding around corners. Too many trails have been destroyed by similar riders.

An exellent xc trail. im now getting into the dh's at wharncliffe (found the diamond back today) but i always start with this one.

@ 41 secs you now have to go left of the tree and i just carnt get over the little bridge without puttin my foot down!!!!!

That line he takes over the routes at that point is pretty hardcore... One day we need to go back and build that high line...

Ive just got back into the old MTbiking and fancy a blast at this, any directions on how to get to it, know its north or sheffield but thats about it. Ill be coming from the holmfirth direction

u guys are gud xc riders ! im going to wharncliffe tomorra am more into the downhill tracks bt do enjoy a good xc ride this track looks perfect tho because it seems it brings you out at the top of the DH tracks and begins near the top car park !!! much respect to the trail builders ! nice vid !

The trail isn't that close to the trees...that is xc, no doubt, which can integrate some dh and such on certain terrain (not here). The trail is very pretty and seems middle of the line as far as smoothness goes. This would make for a really nice ride. Although this is more flatland than the rolling hills we are used to here in marin (birthplace of mtb).
