  • Honestly, I'm all for gay rights. But I don't think that the military should encourage any sort of sexuality. That's not the point of being in the military. I think that both heterosexuals and homosexuals should not be allowed to have sexual relations while deployed, because it's like doing so at work. Fighting for our country should be void of sexuality. Leave that for home.

  • They realized its time for the gays to be sacrificed in the battlefield

  • "ANYONE dumb enough to want to be in the military should be allowed in." - Bill Hicks

  • Fucking gays gonna hit on people trying to pay attention at post. fucking gays looking at people trying to concentrate on the enemy not some faggot ass faggot

  • FUCK THE GAYS!

  • @101RandomFilms Now that's a bit ironic.

  • fags

  • @MEC7991 respect for you

  • fuck this shit, this is y our military is getting weak and as a whole our contry is no longer the top dawg. now our kids have to be raised in this fucked up society. Becuase GOD wanted it to be this way, fuck that shit. man and woman. that is it. adam and eve, not adam and steve.

  • God will vindicate the righteous, and destroy the wicked. Evil may have won this battle but they are destined for Hell, weep not for this world, let it burn.

  • The Good, The Bad, and the UGLY on the repeal of DADT:

Good: The military will make effeminate gay men more masculine, which is a good thing. Hate crimes would plummet if gay men acted more Rock Hudson then Perez Hilton.

Bad: ironic that it was repealed by a bunch of libs who hate the military and wouldn't serve in a million years no matter if we had ten 9/1l attacks.

Ugly: people wanting to serve in the military but on their terms, not the military's. Whats next? doctors notes?

  • @valglass12 What are you talking about, there are a lot of masculine gay man. In fact, Alexander the great was one and also is Gareth Thomas. The leading figure on the repeal of dadt was a veteran Patrick Murphy and the repeal was supported by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Secretary of Defence.

  • @tigerstone91

A few doesn't cover the majority. Yes, there are quite a lot masculine HOMOSEXUAL ( i've found a few who prefer homosexual to ga. Go figure) men, no denying that. I'm friends with a few of them actually. But as a percentage its not that big. Just watch or go to any gay pride parade. And I'm quite sure that the Joint Chiefs and the SecDef will be on board for anything the POTUS asks them to do if they want to continue their employment with the Govt. Funny how that works out.

  • @valglass12 In fact both the Joint Chiefs of Staffs and Secretary of Defence had announce there intention to retire prior to there annoucement of support of the repeal. Not only those two voiced there support for the repeal but a survery that was conducted 400,000 service members( I REPEAT 400,000 SERVICE MEMBERS) found that 90 % of people who served with an openly gay member in their unit found zero or a postive effects on their unit for serving with openly gay members.

  • @valglass12 In fact both the Joint Chiefs of Staffs and Secretary of Defence had announce there intention to retire prior to there annoucement of support of the repeal. • @tigerstone91

Damn, your a regular Nancy Drew with your knowledge of retirement plans for top Govt officials....

I bet they'll have nice retirement packages too for their service from the GLBT folks. And a survey you say!? 400K people no less! THAT couldn't possibly be rigged.

one question for you. I don't want this this to happen either. How would you feel if an openly gay soldier was killed (either by the enemy or his own) for being gay. Would the repeal of DADT be worth it?

  • @valglass12 Secretary Gates is already retired and Mullen is retiring at the end of this month. In the armed forces, I hate to say this but there are racist people and sexist people(some but luckily not all). Yet we still let black and brown people in the military and also we let in women. I think the enemy bydefinition hates you and wants to kills you regardless of the sexuality. You based your asumptions on what? where is your survey?

  • @tigerstone91

My survey is called common sense. If you think the enemy hates everyone in the US military equally, your kidding yourself. The military is all about teammwork and feeling comfortable with each other. You do your job, I'll do mine and we watch each other's back. This is one thing we do not need to do during War. Peacetime? I'll say maybe. Discuss it at least. But you didn't answer my question. Would the repeal be worth it if a gay soldier was killed by his own for being gay?

  • @valglass12 So you admit that you basing your arguments with absolutely no evidence. Your argument about teamwork is essentially the best argument for the repeal because DADT kills unit cohesion . How can anybody work in a team when they have to distance themselves from everyone because they are hiding and have lye to everyone on who they are. Isn't lying against the code of honor and integrity in the armed forces. It like trying to live on a marriage based on lies.

  • @tigerstone91

Damn right about my argument re: teamwork. I can't think of another line of work where the results are as deadly as when teamwork fails in a military unit. How can they work together when somebody is allegedly lying? Simple. They did it for 18 years. And what do you mean hide? is there some rule in the Gay Bible that states that you MUST TELL EVERYONE that your gay? You see DADT should be called "DADT because I don't know nor do I want to know." It isnt lying if nobody asks.

  • @valglass12 Then explain to me why is it many gay veterans refused to reenlist because of DADT and the harshness of living a lie. DADT doesn't mandate that all gays come out of the closet and it just allows them to continue fighting for their country that they love without worrying about getting kicekd out. However straight people will ask, just by habit people will ask you questions that will force you to lie. Which may seem as harmless as "what did you do last weekend"

  • @tigerstone91

Again, if your desire to tell the world that you are into anal sex with other men or like using a strapon is stronger than your desire to serve in the Military on their terms ( and on your own accord, no less) than I could care less

    how those vets feel.

  • @valglass12 A person's personal life has no relevency on their performance in the armed forces, so why would you kick them out. Anyway if you ask a bunch of random straight people what they have done in bed, I bet that it will shock you and will creep you out. Some of them I bet has tried pegging, so should we kick them out?

  • @tigerstone91

If your personal life is a distraction to others in your unit, then yes it does. Why would I ask other people what they do in bed? As long as they don't tell me and i don't ask then I don't know then I can't get shocked now can I? Could care less if they re into "pegging" or 69 or into dressing up as animals or like using toys.

  • @valglass12 You wrong about Secretary of Defence Gates and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mullen being liberal. Both were appointed to the position by a republican president. And in a associated press interview Gates revealed that he is a republican.

  • @tigerstone91

Again, IF the SecDef and the CJCS made the repeal of DADT a TOP PRIORITY while we are in the middle of 2 wars then I can totally understand why things are so fucked up over there in the MIddle East. I mean thats a priority? THAT is what they discuss while soldiers are getting blown up and shot at it!? Holy shit. We are totally fucked then. But I don't buy that for second though. not career military men. The Generals serving under them would've fragged them a long time ago.

  • @valglass12 You have to remeber that a US president integrated the armed forces during a war, during a time where a majority of people were against it. Nothing happend to the military and racist were force to serve with people they hate. The repeal of DADT was never a top priority, why do you think it took nearly two decades to repeal. The repeal of DADT was one of the last laws passed in 2010, in fact they sign it in december 22.

  • @tigerstone91

Yeah, the President intergrated the military during a time of war because he needed cannon fodder as opposed to making Civil Rights progress. nice try. And I'll tell you why DADT got repealed in Dec. 2010. Because Congress was shifting and Obama owed the gays SOMETHING before it was too late.

  • @valglass12 Many people were making the exact same arguments about military integration as they are on gays in the military. That it would destory military cohesion, because racist people would never want to serve with blacks. That white soliders would be very freaked out showering with black man. But none of that happen. Also straight solider where already showering with openly gay soliders even during DADT, but there wasn't a problem at all about that.

  • You are being illogical right now, your whole argument is that gay shouldn't be in the military because there personal life will be distracting. Yet you state that you wouldn't care if there into pegging and furries because their life has no bases on their military performance. Repealing don't ask don't tell doesn't mean that all gays will come out of the closet, it doesn't mandate that they do. IN fact a lot of the discharge gays never told anyone of their sexuality but investigation did.

  • @tigerstone91

My bottom line is keeping the US Military the best in the world and keeping EVERYONE alive and healthy from the enemy AND your fellow soldiers. And if that means that a small percentage have to keep their sexual proclivities a secret while they serve, so be it. AND who knows, maybe down the line I might change my view on this. In peacetime. But not during a war that has gone on for 10 plus years now. There isn't a draft; people serve by choice. And rules are rules for reason.

  • @valglass12 How will openly gay solider do harm to the military? Having openly gay soliders haven't negatively effected any other country that einstated the policy. So why do you think it will effect the US? By saying yes, you are essentially saying that the US armed forces are not as professional as other countries.

  • @tigerstone91

Again, when other countries militaries are up to par with the Uuited States, THEN we'll talk. So stop bring up how great a foreign military is because they can wipe the US Army's ass far as I'm concerned. having an openly gay soldier in a unit is one more thing for a soldier in that unit to think or even worry about, and they have enough on there plates as is. Because in the military its all about WE, not ME. Thats a tough conceot for some gays to get use to. WE, not ME.

  • @valglass12 So your essentially stating that the us armed forces aren't as professionally as other countries?Any one who willing to risk their lives by joining the armed forces to defend their country believe in the We and not me concept? Why would they join otherwise if they didn't believe in it? To get killed? Your basing all your assumtions on sterotypes. Which is unfair, how would you liked to get sterotyped?

  • So you are telling straight soliders have never talk about their sex life? That doesn't seem to negatively effect gay soliders so why would it effect straight soliders? Maybe it would effect them if they never watch tv, read a book, listen to music, or made friends (because some people are gay)

  • @tigerstone91

Why not? Perfectly normal for a man and woman to fornicate right? Wait, I forgot who I was talking to. (grinning) sorry. Your right. perfectly normal for a man to want his asshole plowed by another man. And if straight men are not comfortable hearing about that and other homosexual activity then they need to take a sensitivty course to get with the program.

  • @valglass12 Well, sorry to break it to you , but I like women. Most people don't care about what people do in their own bed rooms because it doesn't effect them. Several gays were already out to their unit, so alot of people are already used to the idea of serving with gays.

  • @valglass12 Also those same gay solider that you have been criticizing are the same ones that are defending your rights , freedom, and your life. So the fact that you are criticizing them for essentially defending you and your freedom to speak your mind is mind boggling.

  • @tigerstone91

Just like those same straight military leaders and soldiers who are defending your rights, freedom, and life and have been since the beginning. So the fact that you are criticizing them for essentially defending you and your freedom to speak your mind is mind boggling.

  • @valglass12 Well gay soliders have also been fighting for the US armed forces since the beginning of the nation. I personally love all the members of the armed forces (both gay and straight) and unlike you have never stated that anybody should be kicked out of the armed forces because of their personal life (which has no relevancy on their military career). Also I notice that you are essentially mimicking me, so I so flattered. After all they say that imitation is the best compliment, so thanks.

  • @tigerstone91

Don't flattern yourself sweetness just because I applied the words of yor argument to mine. Cute, but nice try.

can't say I like that term gay soldiers. Like your saying your gay first and a soldier second. And I bet you "love" all members of the military. If you make your personal life your public life then you can get booted out for the military, yes. If its "unbecoming" you are gone. Sucks, but if you hate it quit. Simple idea right?

  • @valglass12 Most gay solider consider themselves soliders first. why do you think so many gays would join a military that barrs them? Why would they sue the court and organize protest just to get back into the armed forces when they were kicked out? (sorry about the spelling mistakes but my computer is 8 years old and is starring to freeze on me).

  • @tigerstone91

Why do they join? (smiling here) Good place to meet manly muscular dudes in uniform and shower together. See the world. travel the world. Get paid to do it. Score a free education when your done.

  • @valglass12 Don't forget that some of them have died fighting for their country. In fact the very first Iraq war injury was a gay solider by the name of Eric Alva. So are you grateful of his sacrifice? He did serve to protect you.

  • @tigerstone91

WOW. I'm impressed. you must be some military buff to know the name ( and sexual orientation, double bonus points) of the first casualty in the Iraq War. Could you tell me the names fo the first casualty in WWII,WWI, Korea, Vietnam, and Operation Desert Storm? Surely you MUST know them as well. And, while your at it, throw in what their sexual orientations were.

  • @valglass12 If you don't believe me look it up. So I'm guessing that you don't honor the fact that he lost his limb fighting for your freedom. Not honoring your wounded warriors is a bit unpatriotic.

  • DADT was abused, and money was wasted so why keep it. Chances are it would go back to witch hunts if we go back to DADT, because that what happened when the US had it.

  • @valglass12 Wouldn't you feel betrayed that your friend was keeping a secret from you? Is it healthy to live throught lying. The person would also be so worried about his secret coming out that they wouldn't be able to give their all in their jobs. To answer your question, it has already happend Allen R. Schindler, Jr. was a naval officer who was murdered because he was rumoured to be gay. Just rumoured. We have a court system and laws to deal with incidents like these.

  • @tigerstone91

I don't count sexual proclivites as a secret that would derail friendship. What you are into privately should be just that. Now I didn't like the investigative aspects of DADT. The going out of your way methods they used if they suspected someone was gay. As long as they kept it private that should've been okay. You don't make a fuss, I won't make a fuss. And I know we have a court system and laws. But unfortunately they can only punish the guilty and not bring back the victim.

  • @valglass12 Sorry my youtube friend, but youtube is giving me trouble replying directly to you. But that won't stop me from continuing are amazing debate :) Any ways there are many countries in the world who already let openly gay solider serve. Which include several allies who are helping the us in the middle east wars. So should we stop working with them and be left alone in the middle east because they have openly gay soliders.

  • @tigerstone91

I can't speak for other countries on why they do that. But I do know, as President Obama has stated and its one of the few things we agree on, is that the US Military is the most powerful and lethal force on earth. So drastically change a proven thing? And why during a time of war in 3, going on 4 countries? Thats just nuts. I'll tell you why. Its because he doesn't think he will get relected and he needs to do this NOW.

  • @valglass12 You are horribley underestimating our troops. They are all mature and professional. When someone joins the armed forces they know there is a danger of them getting: hurt, captured, tortured, bombed, killed. Yet they are afraid of homosexuals? Wow wouldn't that be a good argument to have them in the military becasue no one would dared attack use with our homosexuals. And I repeat there are already some people who are racist and sexist, yet we still have black and women in the army

  • @tigerstone91

Not ALL of them are mature and professional. I would say at least 99% of them are. But every organization has bad eggs and the military is no exception.

yes, they are afraid of homosexuals because rape or sexual abuse is something that can stay in your head a LONG TIME without the use of a high priced shrink as his drugs. On the other hand, If you get killed, your dead. It doesn't stay with you, you know?

  • @valglass12 If your so worried about rape or sexual abuse then lets use your logic banned both homosexual and heterosexual men period from the armed forces. You know what lets only let asexual people people in the armed forces because the chance of sexual abuse is zero. The military has laws and rules to punish those people for those actions, so we shouldn't just keep a group of people out because they might do something. We don't kick straight man out because they might do sexual abuse.

  • @tigerstone91

Because straight men are 90% of the military. Want to kick them out? Then who is suppose to defend America? Leather daddies? The Gay Men's Chorus of San Francisco?

  • @valglass12 It is not good military policy to kick any out well-trained and highly skilled people out of the military. How can the US keep it ranking as having the best military in the world, if it kicking out well-trained and highly skilled service members. 10 percent is a big percent and , I repeat you lost 10 percent of all arabic translators becauses of this policy.

  • @tigerstone91

C'mon, you think those are the ONLY people in the United States who can do that job? Really? NO ONE else speaks Arabic and they couldn't find others to fill that void?

Again, what is your priority and or allegiance? The Judy Garland flag or Old Glory? You can only choose one.

  • @valglass12 Most dscharged gays never told anyone, but people found out becasue thre was secret investigations. Instead of investagting possible terrisot that want to kills innocent amercians, the armed forces where wasting money looking into a person private life. Is that a good use of money?

  • @tigerstone91

again, I'm not a fan of the witch hunts and digging through EVERYONE's email courtesy of investigators. If gays don't flaunt it and keep it their private business, then you shouldn't investigate it. And sadly the military wastes money just like every other government entity. Sad, but a fact of life.

  • @valglass12 The policy was abused and money was wasted. By getting rid of DADT you can be sure that there will be no witch hunts and money will be geared towards important endeavors. Why would you reinstate a policy if you know money will be wasted and the policy would be absued?

  • @tigerstone91

Okay, so change the investigative tactics and ease up on the witch hunts but keep DADT. there. And its not a waste of money if it keeps people alive and well.

  • @valglass12 I have never said that only gays could be arabic translators, I just waid that there is a crtical shortage of translators. A shortage so critical that ever single one is precious and we shouldn't loss one, let alone 10 % of the translators. In fact gays are in every single fabric of the armed forces, in every single branch and they do every single jobs, from figther pilots to medics.

  • @tigerstone91

tell you what , I have the perfect idea that everyone can agree on. Keep Gitmo open as an interrogation center, but have it manned 100% by gay soldiers. That will get the terrorists talking and spilling their guts! Libs will be happy because gays are doing a big part in the War on Terror, and conservatives are happy that the US is winning the War on Terror and Gitmo stays open. As to the methods/tactics that the gay soldiers use on the terrorists? Well.....don't ask, don't tell.

  • @valglass12 We don't kick out the blacks from the armed forces because they might face racism from their fellow soliders. Why do you keeping ignoring this plain fact.

  • @tigerstone91

I'm sorry are you comparing discrimination vs getting killed?! Wow. Racism in the military? Check the stats on what percentage of the military is composed of minorities before you go cry discrimination. Why do you ignore this plain fact?

  • @valglass12 You do realize that some people were killed because of discrimination, remeber the KKK. Yes, it is true that there is a lot of minorities in the military, but that doesn't mean that there still isn't any racism. In fact, I bet you there are members of the KKK serving along side black people.

  • @valglass12 The survey was conducted by a independant research company called Westat. Who won't have anything to gain to rigged the survey. And they would risk lossing their reputation which is very important to a research company.

  • @tigerstone91

Sweetness, if nitwit Republicans can rig a presidential election, liberals rigging survey results are not that hard. I don't care who the company is. Thats like saying you can steal an airplane but not a bicycle.

  • @valglass12 Strangely when the survey was being administered the only complains weren't from the opponents of the repeals, but the proponenets who felt the survey was bias against the repeal. Even with that complained the survey didn't seem to effect the results. It sounds like you are just ignoring the facts. How can you even make such accusations about the results when you don't even know you administerd the survey. There would be no political capital for rigging the results for the company.

  • Comment removed

  • @tigerstone91

The only "survey" I would accept if it was voted upon by all soldiers actually in the military instead of forced upon by liberal politicians. And don't give me that JCS and Robert Gates supported it line either. Those most important guys during a time of war are not thinking about DADT when they have 3 war fronts they have to look after when the consequences of failure are catastrophic. Sorry. Aint buying it. Try telling me that Pat Buchanan is a liberal while your at it.

  • @valglass12 Your being illogical right now, you refuse to accept the validity of a survey that was conducted by an independant company that was conducted on 400,000 service member, because you want one another survey. You do realise that any marketing or stats major will tell you that 400,000 is a significant number that will given you pretty accurate results. It is not very realistic to survey the entire armed forces since the US has nearly 3million people in the active personale and reserve

  • @tigerstone91

Yeah? So let the repeal of DADT be voted on by the Military. Then we'll see how accurate what the survey says.

  • @valglass12 I bet you that a vote will be for the repeal. Afterall quite a few a lot of them have already served with openly gay service members, or ones that they think were gay. Most know gay people in real life, have gay family members, watched tv shows or movies with openly gay characters. This repeal just allows the gays to serve without fear.

  • @tigerstone91

Never would've guessed in a million years that you would think they would vote for a repeal (eyes rolling here)

Seeing how not one state has voted for gay marriage no way would the military alone change the status quo on DADT. Granted, they might change some of the investigative tactics/methods so its less of a witch hunt mentality but thats about it.

  • @valglass12 There a long list o countries that alllows gays to serve openly. That list has 46 countries in it which strangely include conservative countries like the Philippines, Urugay, South Afrcia, and Bermuda. The list also includes many allies like the UK and Canada. So should the us close themselves off the world and be left isolated because they allows gays to serve openly. In face us solider fought with openly gay allied soliders. The us 'can't fight all their enemies alone .

  • @tigerstone91

thats nice what OTHER countries do with THEIR military. How quaint. But the US Military Machine is the best on the planet, so what other countries do and allow with their armed forces can suck my, uh, um, make that YOUR dick. And since were the best, the world will ALWAYS come to US (excuse the pun) when they need help. We COULD outlaw women and gays serving, you think the UN will care bout that when there is a crises and they need us to go kick some ass? fat chance on that one

  • @valglass12 You have to remember that not one service member voted for enacting "don't ask, don't tell" it was politicans that made this law (most of whom never served in the armed forces). Many now call this law a mistake including the person who first drafted it. YouThe support of gay rights has acclerated the past few years, in fact polls have proved it. Don't believe me then look at the polls done by CNN and Pew Research.

  • @tigerstone91

yeah I know the troops didnt vote on it, but no one complained or made a big stink over it until you-know-who got elected 3 years ago. Coincidence? And while "polls" have "proved" that the support for gay rights have accelerated over the years, not one state in the US that allows gay marriage had it voted on by the people. In fact, California voted it DOWN then the rich libs put the pressure on to get it declared unconstitutional. How about that? So...how about them "polls"?

  • @valglass12 That because the people generally in favour of the appeal (young people) generally don't vote. While people generally against gay rights are old and will eventually die soon. In fact there are a growing number of countries that are passing laws for same-sex marriage. Believe it or not when same-sex marriage was passed back in Canada (in 2005) half of the population was against it. Now just 6 years later a vast majoirty of people are for it.

  • @tigerstone91

okay, now your sounding ridiculous here.

  • @valglass12 It true being gay is become more accepted in the mainstream, so people( that includes soliders) are used to the idea of someone being gay.

  • P.S As much as I love our litte debate here, we have been debating on this for nearly a month now. Which I realise is slight pointless because no matter what you say, DADT is still repealed.

  • @tigerstone91

this is true sweetness, DADT is repealed. Lets pray for our troops as they are the ones who have to do the fighting.

  • I have other priorities in life than to debate a ignorant person who bases all his arguments on sterotypes and fear without never backing any of his arguments up with cold hard facts(like the fact nice gay people exist). So I'm gonna ignore all your replies from now on, because not matter how hard you debate me it won't change the fact that DADT is repealed. Now if you exist me I will go hug all my gay friends, who have always been there for me. l

  • heres some reading for you looke this up: Article: 'Is Homophobia Associated With Homosexual Arousal?' by Henry E. Adams, Ph.D., Lester W. Wright, Jr., Ph.D. and Bethany A. Lohr, University of Georgia, in Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Vol. 105, No. 3, pp 440-445.

Now I know what you are so against it

  • @tigerstone91

Yep, thats right. I read SO many newspaper stories about hate crimes involving gay men getting beaten up and gang raped by packs of straight men. News is just full of those reports.

  • @tigerstone91

Ah yes, the so called "masculine gay men". I hate it when people try to make it as if gay men are just the pinnacles of manliness. Yeah there may be a few tough fags here and there, but the majority of them are flaming queens. Here's a newsflash, stereotypes are often based in truth. The stereotype of gay men being effiminate sissys didn't just come out if thin air, it came from common observation.

  • @clip11 News flash anyone that WILLINGLY puts themselves in danger by joining the armed forces is not weak. There are sterotypes in every single group of people by saying sterotypes of gays are true then you might as well say all sterotypes are true.

  • @tigerstone91

Alot of people, particularly women and homosexuals join the military for all the freebies. Many don't do it to fight or defend the country. I remember reading that during desert storm, around deployment time, many of the female members just happened to come up pregnant. What a coincidence! Time to actually fight and alot of female "soldiers" just so happen to get pregnant, which means they don't have to deploy! Stereotypes are based in truth, i.e., im black and its a stereotype

  • @clip11 But homosexuals can't get pregnant, so what is your point? Anyone that joins the armed forces knows that there is a chance for death especially since the US is still fighting several wars, so the "freebies" looks pale in comparison to the chance of death. Also everyone that joins the armed forces gets those freebies and majority of them are straight.

  • @tigerstone91

Many do not go with the realistic expectation of fighting. In their mind its something that "may happen, but not likely". i guarantee you if you told every new recruit that they'd have to spend 6 months or a year in Iraq or Afghanistan, many wouldn't join. And I bring up female soldiers, because if they wouldn't have started letting women in, then we wouldn't have gotten to the point of letting homosexuals in. If it aint broke dont fix it. And the old all straight male military

  • @clip11 You are forgetting all the gay soliders we lost or didn't rennlist because of the policy. In fact, the armed forces lost 10% of all the arabic and farsi translators. That is unexpectable considering the volatile relationship the us has with the middle east. In the armed forces, I hate to say this but there are racist people and sexist people(some but luckily not all). Yet we still let black and brown people in the military and also we let in women.

  • @clip11 In fact the army was integrated during the period of segregation and many people in the army hated black people. President Truman was heavily criticize for integrating the army and people thought a lot of people will desert the military or refuse to join, but none of that happend.

  • @tigerstone91

    worked just fine.

  • @tigerstone91

that black folks like fried chicken. Having spent my entire life around blacks and being black myself, 99.9% of black folks eat fried chicken. Are there some which don't eat fried chicken? maybe, but I haven't met any. My point is, stereotypes are not just thought up out of thin air, they come from observable facts.

  • @clip11 Sterotypes are harmful, infact people have used black sterotypes in order to justified the segregation of the military and slavery. By using your logic that sterotypes have a logical compoent to them you are essentially backing up all the sterotypes that the KKK uses to dehumanize black people because sterotypes are based on "observable facts". P.S I eat fried chicken so does that make me black.

  • The military already has a huge rape problem. You should not have to bunk with anyone that wants to screw you! PLUS every year some stressed soldiers out in the field find a young girl and rape the hell out of her-- the excuse is ptsd. I guess now we'll get stressed gay soldiers that will just rape the captured male enemy soldiers up the the butt-- and USA will stand for Up Someones Ass.

  • @black1582 I'm sure much of the same types of things were being said by people like you when racial segregation in the military was being removed.

It might not be an easy transition, but it will be for the greater good. Gays in the U.S. represent an important part of the country in the same way other groups do. Therefore, they should always have the right to serve in the military openly and uninhibitedly. No more shame!

  • This has nothing to do with race--that's a skin color. This is the guy in the bunk below you, maybe wanting to screw your butt! Not all, or even most, gay men will do this. But there will be some, that's why men and women don't bunk together. I'm not even saying kick them out, I'm just saying DADT until after bootcamp when they have proven themselves and have their own sleeping quarters. But these days it's PC first, and to hell with any reasonable safety measures or duty to protect personnel.

  • @black1582 gays are no more dangerous than anyone else. Think about it this way, if a fellow military person is coming on to you in an undesirable way, the same punishment should be applied as if it was a male to a female. Just because gays get to serve openly in the military doesn't mean they get to grab asses and harass others without punishment. I believe most of them will probably carry themselves the same way as when it was illegal. They just no longer have to walk around ashamed or afraid.

  • @black1582 You're a fucking idiot to think that every gay man wants to fuck every single man on the planet. That is a fucking disgusting allegation to make.

  • THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE! It should be 'don't ask, don't tell" through boot camp until service people that are gay get their own sleeping quarters. The military already has a huge rape problem and imagine how bad it would be if we put the men into boot camp sleeping in the same room with women. Why then put gay men in with straight men? Bootcamp is a place to test if you are dangerous or not. Now we will see by if you rape, and whoever gets raped will just have to take one for the team. STUPID!

  • @mannymaan Ok if God hates gay people so much then why the hell dont he jus go on n kill all of them at one time huh? If God hates gay pepole so much, then y the helll does he keep making gays in the first place?

  • WTF were those even marines or soldiers doing the Sandwhich

  • @mannymaan

do they not teach you how to spell in bible study you ignorant f*ck

  • @erinacuity

Do they teach capitalization and punctuation at whatever institute "educated" you, idiot?

  • Great, now the whole military can look like Gomer Pyle USMC--who woulda thought back then that Jim Nabors represented the future of USA military!

  • When will people stop breaking mankind up into groups? Rights are given to the individual from their constitution and creator.

  • Awesome, now gays can openly die in unnecessary wars alongside heterosexuals.

  • People, let's be real... I'm an USAF vet, and it's common sense to tell you that out of the millions of service members that serve in uniform, NOT ALL OF THEM WILL FOLLOW A HETEROSEXUAL LIFESTYLE...

  • what they should do 2 tell apart the gay soldiers from the straight soldiers is give the gay soldiers pink grenades

  • It's about time that any upstanding American citizen can openly serve our country regardless of sexual orientation. Gay service members should be recognized for their honor and sacrifice. They deserve access to the same benefits as straight service men and women. I personally thank those who dedicated military members who have had to hide in the shadows. I for one am very proud of you!

  • Its just going to cause more problems. should have been kept. but add a nondiscrimination pollicy to it. I have a feeling that DADT will be back.

  • @WEREFEAT - Oh man your inbred stupidity is far worse then I thought! You're brain has been washed beyound repair, I dont't know if your joking or being serious but suggesting that MY brain is programmed is hilarious and you are so fucking stupid I can't take this seriously. I'm surprised you get the internet where you're from, becaues there is no way you are civilizied. You must be some back woods, homophobic, rascist psycho. • The country and our military will now be a better place. This is truly a day to celebrate!

  • lol friendly fire increases

  • now bring our troops home and we'll save trillions

  • @DRisLegend200919 Uhm, not to rain on your parade or anything, but... you can't save trillions. There is only 6 billion people in the world... =/

  • @hellsgate09 trillions of money

  • @WEREFEAT - haha youre so fucking dumb! man people surprise me time and time again. the phleps would love to have you.

  • Respect each other differences. I am a openly Gay son of a Korean War veteran. My father has seen many walks of life but he has never shown me hate nor excommunicated me from our family. This is not a sign of our times. It is a simple right that every human has to be a part of a human civilized diverse society. I respect heterosexual men and woman. I as a human being do not tolerate nor promote hatred to anyone who is not like myself. Fear fate. Gays have pride. We show respect to produce peace.

  • Finally, we are a step closer to a true meritocracy.

  • Salute to the brave men and women who fight for our freedom. They serve and protect the youtube trolls too afraid to even leave mommy s basement

  • When you are willing to put your life in danger for the sake of others, you merit the highest respect.

  • You little pussy ass haters! These gay guys probably have more Balls than the rest of you retards, HEY, they are actually willing to Die for this country!

  • @deeppurple28 "These gay guys probably have more balls the the rest of you retards"... yeah, 1 set in their BDU's, 1 set in their mouths... that's twice as much as most other people.

  • @deeppurple28 To provide a fair analysis, consider that opponents of allowing homosexual individuals to serve in military units are generally of low intelligence and are incapable of rational decision making.

  • @heyitsmejason1 your an ignorant fuck head. Congratulations!!!!

  • The Third Book Of Moses Called Leviticus 20:13 clearly states God's view on this behaviour, and His view is the only one that matters. Faggots are scum.

  • @AncientHistoryBuff - and you are another blind drone following a fariy tale that condons hate. jesus would be real proud of that statment, faggots are scum. Are you proud of your ignorance

  • HEY! i'm a US War Faggot, i mean veteran

  • as in the days of noah so will be in coming of the son of man! this is why sodom and gomorrah was destroyed for sodmites and man hores. thats why in revelation it said that place is also spiritually named sodom for its sodomy and egypt because egypt is a greek word for bondage. all this goes on in babylon america and in isaiah 13 iran will destroy america very soon also jer 50 and 51! the persian medes will take her out as u see them goin to war very soon! babylon has fallen! that sinful empire

  • @lancelottbfam23

Although the DADT policy seemed to make more sense. Which God of destruction are you unwittingly promoting?

Thank Jesus we're not under the tyrannical Old Testament anymore! Praise God for his son Jesus' sacrifice, for the redemption, compassion and freedom he has brought our imperfect mankind, for those who believe!

  • Faggots can now fuck their fellow Marines without penalty...

  • Long overdue.

  • I was an paratrooper and I promise a gay guy wouldnt last long there. I dont care if a person is gay or not. but it doesnt change that they wouldnt last long in certain MOS's

  • I like how they just threw that last clip in there.

  • UCMJ article 125 needs to be repealed as well. Technically, gays can't serve openly if the Sodomy article still exists, but I'm sure high brass will make an excuse why it still should be on the books.

  • @rusty1491 Because it protects straight males against rape.

  • @agelessrocker Article 120 was recently changed to "Rape, sexual assault, and other sexual misconduct" covering both sexes not just woman. Article 125 intent was to cover homosexual acts and bestiality.

  • @rusty1491 They can still serve, they just can't fuck asshole.

  • All equal, in the army and out of the army

  • gross.

  • @EmpathyWorks they still fight for ur country so GROSS that

  • Keep up the good fight! you have won this battle, now winning you other rights will be a little easier.
