It's entirely possible that there is an objective standard, but that societies don't meet that standard. Heck, I don't think any society accurately reflects God's standards of morality, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

It could change in 10 years or be proven in 10 years...but to treat it as FACT now is illogical.
As for animals - to say a variant of dog evolved into a Dolphin, millions of years ago isn't a logical explanaition to me....
But if you said ' here are a set of fossiles detailing how a dog like creature evolved into a dolphin' I would probably accept it...

Mt heory (a "sect" of string theory) says thatour universe rests on the surface of a membrane or a "D-Brane" which are in higher dimensions. this is just one brane among a potentially infinite amount of branes.since there are so many branes, they probably run into each other pretty often. each time they clash, this can be a big bang, which in turn, big bangs happen all of the time. therefore time exists outside our own space-time. look into it. pretty interesting stuff.

I'd have to disagree with you about the laptops somewhat. The fact that VFX failed to realise how much of an example of evolution that laptop is would be a better basis for rebuttal.
Laptops do in fact reproduce; not in the sense they pop out baby laptops, but in the sense new generations are produced. I'm sure you can see where this is going... back preceding the first computers.
You can compare laptops to organic life. But this only goes to prove complex things start out simple.

1. Just because different societies have different conceptions of morality doesn't mean there isn't one, objective standard. It's entirely possible that there is an objective standard, but that societies don't meet that standard. Heck, I don't think any society accurately reflects God's standards of morality, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.
