  • meh

  • @BarkinPeach What a well thought out criticism.

  • dude, soooo diggin' this! Saw Tom a couple of years ago in Florida. He never plays his own songs the same way twice. Great job!

  • @ididyoursoccermom Thanks! I saw him too in Asheville. Yeah Ive never heard him to a song the same way. Always evolving and changing to keep himself interested. If you wanted to hear it the same way, listen to the record. Which is why I didnt want to copy the song. Cause you cant. Make it fit yourself.

Just like Tom does with his own songs.

  • awesome, like the tempo too

  • what tuning is this in - i'm having trouble figuring it out but i'm really close

I LOVE IT it's so fun to play

  • @funkweedajones Its moslty just an Am lick and some sort of G.

  • Cool! Banjo really seams to suit many of Tom Waits' songs.

  • think you sell yerself short my friend, this is top!

  • rhythm is all off my friend

  • Off how?

  • I think he means that you slow down and speed up through out the song. It's ok though man, I enjoyed the cover!

  • i think that guys a douchebag so who cares... you did a good job man! its a good cover!

  • Thanks. I don't mind criticism at all. In fact, I welcome it. I just wish they would elaborate.

  • @BoatwrightBanjo

  • This is fantastic. I was actually on YouTube looking for Tom Waits songs in clawhammer style... is there any way you can send me general tabs or even chords for this?

  • Its all in Am cept for the when it goes high. Thats a G7 The frailing rhythm is the same cept for tapping my thumb with a little extra force and after the fifth string thumb pick (the "dy" in the bum-did-dy) I add in an up pick with my middle finger on the first string. More of a bum-did-dy-dy.

No real tab. Once you get that stuff going you can hear which string you should pick as you play. Generally stay higher for the verses and lower for the chorus.

  • Man,,,, thats just to awesome,,, luv it,,

  • Fantastic work, great vocals too!.. More!
