  • And ruin ur hair straighteners in the process...

    No thanks.

  • @s0uli3 It doesn't ruin it, making the i-tips isn't an everyday occurrence. Once the project is complete, and while the flat irons are still hot, just wipe off the melted re-bonds. Straightening my hair using spritz caused more build-up on the irons than the rebonds every will. Either way, they're easy to clean. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)

  • i do this exact same method , thought it was me alone lol

  • @GodBlessPrincess876 Great minds think alike, lol!!!

  • is there another way to melt the keratin? I am scared of messing up my flat iron,

can I melt it in like a small bowl over candle, or cover my flat iron with foil?

  • @CandiiRayne I've seen little kits at the beauty supply that comes with a small bowl that sits on top of a burner (I think it's electric), the keratin beads are put in there to melt. I've never tried it. After I finished making my i-tips, I scraped off the burned/melted glue with a plastic spatula (for cooking) and there were no traces of glue or damage. The foil may be a bit of a hassle to work with, but if you try it, let me know how it turns out. :)

  • I see that you only used one bundle of hair to make your i-tip extensions. Was one bundle more than enough or just enough....I'm asking because I want to do this style on myself but my head is HUGE!

  • @beffb912 One bundle was enough for me. It depends on how much of your hair is left out. I used more extensions because my hair was short when I installed. People with longer hair usually install only their sides and back, I did my entire head and left out a horse shoe on top. It was perfect! I ordered two bundles just to be on the safe side, I really only needed one.

  • @MsNaturesBeauty my hair is pretty short as well. it comes right below my ears. i want to do my hair just as you did, a full head WITHOUT leaving hair out between each row of micro links. The only hair i want out is of course, my perimeter....do you think one bundle will be enough if i split the weft or no?

  • @beffb912 One bundle should be enough and you don't have to split the weft since you'll be cutting the hair off of the weft. Make sure you purchase the 4mm silicone lined micro rings, that way, your i-tips will be small enough to fit through, thus preventing you from using too much hair from the weft. I installed less i-tips in the back of my head and more on top so that it can look full. (the sections that I parted in the back were larger than the ones on top) Hope this helps! :)

  • i just ordered and my hair and i cant wait. This michigan weather is brutal and i cant stand the sew in in the wenter on natural hair and when i was permed i always had i tips done but knowing i can buy less hair and do this with curly hair im excited. i cant wait

  • @amph327 Let me know how it turns out! I'm wearing braids now and I truly miss this style. I'm re-installing as soon as I take my braids down in January. :)

  • can you tell me how much i tips can i get from just one pack of onyc kinky hair????

  • @marnery34 I made my tips small enough so that I could use the 4mm rings and was able to make around 300. That's enough for a full head! :) Thanks for watching.

  • Amazinggg ! I am going natural without the big chop and I'm not a fan of sewins this is perfect !

  • @Di0R14 Thanks! I'm still loving this hairstyle. I prefer this method over sew-ins, in my opinion, it's easier to take care of and lasts longer. I plan to post another update soon, I've had this style for about 3 mos now and it still looks new. :)

  • This is great!
