Does anybody know on why did Lou Brown (plays by James Gammon) wants Willie (plays by Omar Epps) to keep the ball in the ground for? Does he not want him to hit home runs anymore?
@TheChrisminator19 He's not a power hitter. He's not strong enough to consistently hit it out of the park. He'd end up flying out or popping out most of the time. Also, he's the team's lead-off hitter. The fire-starter. His job it to get on base and steal bases and take the pitcher's attention from the meat of the order so that they can drive in runs.
@johnskudris In the spring training montage, I saw him hit a home run. Rube Baker was amazed that he did that. Lou Brown wasn't pleased with it. He tells Rube by saying, "Off a guy who'll be bagging groceries in a couple of weeks." What the fuck is he talking about? Have you seen this movie before? I am pissed off at Roger Dorn for sending Parkman away to the White Sox. Do you know why did he sent him away for? I need to know on why did he say, "I'm on my ass, I'm tapped out." for?
my favorite part is the whole Willy Mays Hayes called shot thing. Such arrogance, he would have definitely been benched or beaned for that. And the fan's reaction when he hits the ball is priceless...."Yes! YEEEEESSSSS!!!!"
NTROLLL Whats he pointing there? he know someone? lollll

Not to mention....raise the opposing pitcher's pitch count.
