@whitlcj1 When your trip is 100 miles, doing the posted limit of 60mph instead of 49mph will save over 22 minutes. Slow drivers inconvenience faster drivers. Fast drivers don't inconvenience slow drivers. Whether or not faster drivers break the law is no business of your's anyway. If you have to brake to go around a long sweeping bend like that, you really should not even be on the road. Oh, and the 90-95th percentile of drivers in terms of speed have the least accidents of any group.

old people here in the UK on a typical 60MPH national speedlimit A road. they all seem hellbent on making my life shit by doing 40mph and they stamp on their breaks when a 30 or 40 limit comes up regardless of what there speed is. ban old people from driving so i and many others can do the damn speed limit

Don't you just love that? I mean c'mon, I know its a "speed limit, and not a speed maximum" like many 'slow' drivers argue, but if you have ever been in a standard shift behind someone who won't do but 15 under the speed limit, your usually going into 4th, back to 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, gets old real fast. If your skill level is not well enough to do the speed limit, please stick to 4 lane highways, and keep over for people to pass, lol

Come to Vancouver B.C..on a highway they drive 10-20k below the speed side by side so you cant pass..Today I was driving 80 km(speed limit) cut off by a small turd Honda and they refused to step on it,causing me to slam on my brakes ...I had to pass on a double yellow or else slam in the back of them..would have luckily nobody was coming the other way !!! My brother was behind me and followed the car at 25-30 km/hr on a 80 km/h highway !!! It took them 5 km to get up to 65 km/h 15 below limit

I Lived in Northwest at one time.One problem i noticed is many of the roads are winding and run around hills and mountains.The turns can be deceptive and not many have posted signs before them showing recommended speed giving you an idea how fast you can take them.

Sorry, but crap vid. The point you're making is exactly right, though. I hate ignorant, slow drivers, we get heaps of them out here in Australia. They manage to add at least 30 min to an hour to what should be a 2 hour trip to uni, and it's even worse if you're on P plates or driving a modded car (I now have my full licence thank god but drive a modded '64 Holden) they do it on purpose, just to annoy you. It's moe dangerous than the RTA's so called 'speeding'.

I've just been looking through the road traffic act online and could see no mention of any such thing as a minimum speed limit or driving too slowly. There are areas on driving without due care and attention or dangerous driving but thats upto the constable to judge at the time. So before you go off insulting folks you should really link to this mythical law you claim exists on driving too slowly.

Sorry for the fustration, but the speed limits are the posted maximums, not minimums. Therefore, those driving slower are in full compliance with both the laws and the intent of the laws. Furthermore, unless you're traveling great distances, you're not going to get there all that much quicker traveling 10mph faster (less then a minute at five miles distance).

I live in a northern area of Canada, every day I get stuck in traffic because out of towners don't know how to drive in winter and do 12km/h in a 100 zone, I was going so stir crazy from not having my car out of 2nd gear all day that I wanted to get out, run to their car, and beat the shit out of them. There's also about 50 accidents a day because people will wait till the last possible second to break, and then smash into something, or someone behind them is on ice and smashes into them.

maybe that driver isn't in a rush to get to mcdonalds and ask, "would you like fries with that?" Perhaps you should have trip planned better. You evidently failed to do so. Buy an atlas and find out how long you're route will take and figure you're driving time at 50mph and adjust accordingly.

@jeabo0adhd Thats right! Yes! Even driving slow in the middle lane will cause a ticket! Generally, if traffic is normal, you drive about 90 kilometers an hour on the right, 140-160 km/h in the middle and on the left lane, most cars are driving speeds of about 180 - 220 km/h!
