Thanks for the comment, did you happen to see my left hand adjustment of the steering wheel? If I hit the apex, I would have been out in the field. I was carrying too much speed to get to the apex, and the rear of the car let me know that.
Definately not sped up. A buddy runs 114-115 on a bike R6) and I run low 120's. These cars will eat a bike up on a track. Putnum usually has great grip too.
You just really need to see one in person to realize how quick they are and how well they grip. I would love to drive one, I bet the G's are phenominal.
Actually, as the driver of the car in the above video, I can attest that the video is not sped at all. The sequential racing transmission of the D962R allows for lightening-quick upshifts, with only a quick lift of the throttle. I also have another video posted chasing around a Porsche GT3 Cup car at Sebring. The second car in the video gives you a better perception of time.
No, no. It is playing at the correct / original speed. The car uses a 6-speed sequential transmission where the driver pushes forward to downshift one gear and pulls back to upshift one gear. It is similar to how a motorcycle transmission operates. That is what the shifts are so fast. Not because of faster-than-reality video.
Ah yeh having watched it again I see what your saying mate. Awesome driving!

Very quick lap, but would have been quicker if you'd hit the apex in turn 2.

I run 1:18 or slower out there in my '01 Z06. In the hands of a good driver (like Chris), a 1:10 is great but quite attainable. Great lap.
I'd like to drive a Diasio, but then mine would feel slow! lol
Great video. Great lap. Great track. Great car.
If you have not run out at Putnam with Diasios, or in one, don't speculate on this video, you just sound silly. :P
