  • Idiot.

  • I remember this song....I think in the 70's....but I don't remember the group name. Did they have any other jammin' songs?

  • Whenever I see the opening scene of Jaws, I always think of this song, especially the beginning.

  • Thanks for the upload. This is a little remembered classic. I could not remember the name of this song to save my life. James Brown's "Hot" borrowed heavily from this song for the break in the middle of the song.

  • I used to have this album. It sounds great on vinyl - mine was on 8 track (yuk).

RIP Mike Brecker - what a great talent he was.

  • Ez nagyon tuti. Igazi lazulás, Fater szalagairól ismerem.

  • R.I.P. Michael, you played a cool sax.

  • good song it reminds me how old i am and how i love the music disco

  • one of the great debut lp's of all time!!! my dad had this back in the day (matter of fact , he still does have it!), and he used to play this track all the time, and i remember gettin' down like any 4 year old would to some good music!! and i did find my own copy of the lp 13 years ago for only a buck!!

  • Wow, I was fresh out of high school when this was released. My how time flew!

  • Great memories of my neighborhood in East L.A. back in 1975 and the great house parties we use to attend. I'd take those parties over any of the boring teenage get togethers today.

  • Me encanta me acuerdo de mi juventud cuando ibamos a bailar a las disco, era una de las mejores en su momento

  • My mother promoted a weekend bus trip to the Playboy club in northern NJ in summer '75. At the last minute, one couple canceled and I suddenly was packing a suitcase to go along. At the age of 15, I was lucky enough to get into the nightclub (I guess I looked 18), and the DJ played this song. I bought a copy as soon as I got home. I considered this a Disco song, whether intended or not and I became a DJ partly because of this experience.

  • that's will lee singing lead

  • back in the day i joined one of those "get five albums for a penny" deals and they sent me this one and Mandrill's Ape is High without ordering them. thought I got ripped off until I played them. And I still have them to this day. thanks columbia!!

  • this is what i've been lookin for Dam!! Nice! I'm from Baltimore Md, a local group called Chocolate Rain! did this live and tore it up!! Everytime. I think this is the first time i heard of a Phase shifter, if your a Guitar Player you know what I'm talking about!! awe! MAN!!!

  • I Jr.High I loved this tune and still do now.

  • Great track - brings back a lot of memories.I saw them live back in the 80's at their club in NYC.If you want to hear Mike Brecker really blowing check out the live album 'Zappa In New York'.

  • Look for you cats that don't know..The Brecker Bros..Randy and Micheal were the most sought after studio muscians in the world during the 70's and 80'...They played with parliament/funkadelic they were part of Fred Wesley's Horny horns...Fred Wesley was the trombone player in James Brown's backing band The JB's..The brecker along with Ramsey Lewis, and Herbie Hancock started the jazz fusion craze of the 70's and 80's.Their 2nd album had a great song called keep it steady.Luther is singing backup.

  • EXACTLY what "jmack80" said!!!!

Mike and Randy (along with saxist Dave Sanborn & bassist Will Lee) d@mn near appeared on 95% of all albums produced in the late '70's and the '80's that had backing horn sections!!

Check out thier mad speed classic "Some Skunk Funk"! Insane!!!

  • I first heard this song when I was 12 living in Pacifica , California , outside of San Francisco . The station was KSFX 104 FM .

They were a rock station until late 1974 , when they changed to R&B/Disco format and it became my other favorite station besides KFRC and KYA .

  • Great song! The Becker Brothers were some bad boyz.

  • Is that a bang and olufsen deck?

  • It's a Technics SL-1210MK2, industry standard disco deck. Lovely bit of kit - I have two.

  • Been looking out for this - Thanks

  • Great little groove tune, good fun and they STILL played their asses off!

    Sure do miss Michael Breacker!

  • Thanx fast flyer2007 for posting this lost classic. I had this album when I was stationed @ Ft.Hood,Tx. in '75-76. I've been looking for thi song since I lost mine. I love the horn section & if you listen they sound alot like A.W.B. . I'm sorry to hear that Michael Brecker passed away. When did he pass? R.I.P. Mike & Thanx for the great music.

  • I always thought they sounded like AWB too. Mike Brecker died Jan 2007 - loss of a great musician. Thanks for the comment.

  • Is'nt it that the AWB sound like the breckers?

I am sure the breckers were shit hot session guys when they made this - who came first AWB or the brecker bros?
