It looks like it takes pretty good video, but the user must definitely make the call for their particular application. Are you satisfied with the results? I'd really like to know. I purchased a Stealth Cam several months back and ended up taking it back because it didn't do well in low light conditions, such as bowhunting. Your camera looks like it does a pretty good job capturing light. Keep us posted. Thanks for posting.
@MLBRENIZER I love the Flip Mino camera but I personally haven't tested it in really low light conditions yet. Check out the forums on hatcams site. Look under "fishing reports"....there are walleye and sturgeon videos that were shot in a dark fish house (Kodak camera I believe). The footage turned out awesome! There are also several other sample videos there to watch.
Thanks! It's a spring bobber. There are several versions of a "spring" bobber. The on in the video is ok but a pain in the azz to get the line through when first setting the rod up.
Depends on the camera. Google "hatcams" and you can check the pricing on the site. There is a forum section there also where you can check out a bunch of other hatcam vids.
I didn't do anything special to the footage...just edited it in Windows Movie Maker and hosted it here. The Flip Mino shoots some pretty high quality footage!
It looks like the same fish

That rod is a Frabill panfish popper. A great combo, but too light for spoons in my opinion, i own the 30" deadsticking model. Awesome video tho!

I think you and Mike need a couple of these hatcams. Your vids are already great....just might add a different camera angle.

That was really good. You did a great job of keeping the camera steady and on target. I bet you guys had a nice time.

A guy doesn't move too much when ice fishing....plus no waves or wind.

Nice! I've been thinking about getting a hatcam for myself.
My uncle's caught 3 Crappies , all around 12" and I've caught a 9"
