I created my wamp server and i also made a domain on no-ip. Yet, my server domain doesnt work. It works fine with my minecraft server on default port 25565. Would it be better to change the port to 8000 for the website? I would actually recommend making your ip static as it had shortened the time of connection to my router (wifi)

@uuuserunknown Its possible your ISP has incoming requests to 80 blocked. Try 8000 and see what happens. Try your IP:port as well for quick tests.

@TheRunescaperDude it doesnt contain a virus. Also, your IP address is just that, an address... and considering Im runnning a web server, that address is easily obtainable. Having said that, having an address (IP) doesnt mean access, much like if you know Fort Knoxs address you arent going to walk out with the gold.

4 Hostname blocked may be due to an abusive update (uou might be updating to often) but mainly with DynDNS, Ive never heard of it with no-ip.

I did this, but when I try to go to my hostname on my LAN computers, it comes up with a page from no-ip(dot)com rather than my server's index.html file. I have NOT port forwarded as I don't know what ports to forward, and how to forward them.

its not an ip at that point, its a domain name. is that what you mean?

I have never played Runescape, in fact I had to google what a RS server was lol - That being said I dont know if this is applicable to a server like that since Im completely unfamiliar with it.

It works for web and FTP servers. That much I can tell you.

Cant connect suggests either you are blocking something with your firewall or haven't properly port forwarded.

My friend has this maplestory thing, like a private server and he says that everytime too much people log on it crashes. Either that no-ip has a limit or his computer sucks. i told him the 2nd option.
