  • Hey Bubba whats the point in a livestock show........Just to see who has the better goat??

  • umm yea pretty much

  • umm yea pretty much

  • Yes to a degree. It also teaches the kids how to raise their animals and responsiblity.

There is a lot of hard work that goes into getting these animals ready to show

  • i also live in bartholomew county indiana

  • Congrats... Keep up the good work.

  • i also live in bartholomew county not far away from johnson county indiana

  • Congrats to him on his win! I show sheep. But I must say he does well with his goats. If I were judging I'd like him to keep the feet a bit lower to the ground and practice he's brace some more. Otherwise, he did awesome! Nice video, I bet you're proud!

  • Yes, we are proud of the job he did. You are correct on his bracing at this show, for some reason he kept spreading the goat out way to far. We have started the goats for this year and bracing has been our main focus.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Once again, nice boers. I think its interesting that some of the kids are showing them just like sheep. I didnt know thats how you showed a boer. I always showed mine like a dairy (except i made his feet square)

  • There is a lot of attention paid to muscle mass in this part of the country. The judges want them to look like a racehorse, long and lean and muscled up so that is the reason for the drive in the goats. The trick is to make them drive but leave their feet as close to the ground as possible.

  • i show goats too. i live in brady TX and just bought mt new goats ...
