  • Do you know how to survive a big cat attack?

  • That is a bunch of HAPPY cats!

  • I can't wait to do the exact same thing myself this Thanksgiving :)

  • Is it true in the wild tigers kill crocodiles sometime?

  • @ccth22 Yes, it has happened

  • "Cook the food for tigers, man!" Ugh. Yes, because tigers are accustomed to roasting their meals on an open fire after they take down their meal, washing their paws in water and preparing fine silverware and china plates on a table for their delicious meal. Maybe in Wonderland.

  • wow that looks like a cool job takin' care of tigers and throwin' turkeys over a tall fence to see a big cat chase em down

  • I want to throw turkeys at tigers for a living

  • haha.. do people think when a wild lion catches their meat, they go grill it themselves? haha.

  • what, cooked meet for lions?ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.some people just dont have common sense.

  • The only bad thing about animal videos is all the pussy animal activists who comment.

  • Tigers are at the top of the food chain. They mainly eat large mammals, such as pigs, deer, antelope, buffalo, and gaur. Their preferred and essential food is ungulates – hoofed animals such as deer and wild pigs. SO WHY WOULD A TURKEY BE A SPECIAL TREAT. THIS IS JUST A MONEY GETTING GIMMICK TO SOLICIT DONATIONS.

  • @kmalie1 Yeah they have a lot of animals that need around idk 10lbs a day. That costs quite a bit of money you think. Obviously a money gimmick. You would think that most of all tiger species are endangered so we need to have some in captivity. Your really trying to persuade people to not donate money to endangered animals. WTF

  • Animals don't cook their food in the wild, you doofuses.

  • @Lunarvx22 lol these people are retards...

  • nu!! its my food "bye bye!!"

  • Amasing video! It's great to see theese beautiful animals! Good work! :)

  • I acually think this video is interesting because these people do not feed them alive turkeys which is amazing because there are alot of cruel people in this world who acually do that and i don't think it is right!

  • @jbrewer2000 It's not right? What, it's not right to let them be the animals God made them to be? Does nature the way God make it bother you?

  • Tigers love pepper on their turkeys not cinnamon

  • Big cats are just like little cats, except they're not nearly as afraid.

  • well they look happy. im glad. The one i have seen in the zoo always look so depressed.

  • These big cats eat just the way their smaller domesticated cousins are designed to eat - by consuming whole raw foods, including raw meaty bones!

Commercial pet food is junk food for cats.

Check out rawfedcats dot o r g and rawfed dot c o m to learn how to feed domestic cats naturally, as nature intended for them to eat.

  • this is wrong good food i cooked food. raw food can make serious disease like liver worm brain and heartworm

  • @TTLCMOS11121 The big cats consume all their food raw, if we cooked the turkeys the bones splinter which can cause serious problems.

  • @TTLCMOS11121 Where were you raised? How old are you? These are animals! How do you think they get their lunch when not in captivity??? Sheesh!

  • @TTLCMOS11121 how can people so stupid? they are wild animals.. how many times do you see a tiger carrying an oven to cook turkey,, jesus. if they have eaten raw meat for millions of years, im pretty sure its because they can eat it without problems

  • @MuayThaiViking "how many times do you see a tiger carrying an oven to cook turkey,, jesus." aaaaaaaaaahahahhahahaahahahahhahahahhahahahah lol man:P

  • @TTLCMOS11121 If you feed cooked food to any form of cat the bones will splinter, and mess up the animal, from the throat, stomach, intestines and anus.

    A MAJOR pain.

  • @TTLCMOS11121 Seriously? You think uncooked meat affects wild carnivores?

  • @TTLCMOS11121 you are an idiot

  • "Whats that tigers name?"

    "Zabu"

    "Abu"

    lol

  • i dont know why u bother answer that idiot back about wud u not cook the turkeys bs

  • That sucks, lets see some live turkeys in there, a little action.

  • It's sad that people are so wrong with big cats

  • do they really like this raw turkey D= did you ever tried giving them cooked? lol i know they eat it in the wild raw but still...eek?

  • @Temarinl Yep, definitely, cooking turkeys and feeding them out would be dangerous this cause the bones to splinter. Plus it would take us FOREVER :)

  • @BigCatRescue Your English skills encourage me that my future son in law will not need an education to have a fulfilling, good job. He's not much into school but an intelligent kid. Thanks so much.

  • @Temarinl

you must not be a sushi fan, then?

  • @Temarinl are u serious they are LIONS AND TIGERS they must be fed raw meat!

  • I don't see any turkey...

  • @depor5000 No offense, but that was the most idiotic comment in the history of mankind, what do you think they're eating?

  • @depor5000 No offense, but that was the most idiotic comment in the history of mankind, what do you think they're eating?

  • @depor5000 The turkey is the food...The report threw it to the tiger...

  • What is this, a big cat thanksgiving?

  • Gobble it up!!!!!!

  • You guys are doing an awesome job. Keep up the good work and the vidoes.

  • @PaintedDoc Thanks for watching!!

  • do you ever feed the cats live food?

  • @TheChosenfee No, we only feed live prey to our rehab cats that will be released back into the wild :)

  • @BigCatRescue from 1:48-2:18 is that buffy?

  • @byrnes2010 Nope Bengali :)

  • the turkey already lost...

  • why...why are u takeing these tigers freedom from them...let them run free...let them...live

  • @FATYDECKS We don't take them form the wild, we rescue them from backyards, basements, fur farms etc.. they have never been wild and never will be. So we provide them with a home for the rest of their lives :)

  • @FATYDECKS YOu should check out the story of Hope the bobcat - when Big Cat Rescue found an orphaned Florida Bobcat, they went through a lot of work to keep her wild and be able to release her back into the wild when she was old enough.

  • @FATYDECKS Look at the site of bigcatrescue, they are doing an great job!

  • Om nom nom nom

  • 1:27 Cameron says "where's the cranberry!"

  • Cameron was too busy trying to intimidate everyone to notice a turkey was coming his way LOL

  • Feed the kitties annoying visitors, especially ones that do not donate.

  • Do you guys ever fed them fish? Doesnt cats like that?

  • @BoneBeast Not on a regular basis, we do use sardines in our enrichment, we make frozen treats called sardini martinis! :) yum!

  • The last femal lioness looked big if you know wat I mean? Is she pregnant?

  • @xXJxDANCExKXx Sarabi was always a large lioness, no she wasn't pregnant we do not breed at BCR :)

  • Why don't you guys do it with live turkeys, I bet it would be fun for the cats, and also fun to watch :)

  • @LimpingGoat6 It's simply cruel and not needed, sure the cats would probably enjoy it, but the cats could also spend a long time "playing" with their meal before killing it. Also feeding live prey to 130 big cats would take all day and theirs also the potential risk of the cats themselves getting injured in the process :)

  • @ 1:10 ...ooooh scary! he wants to dig through and eat that guy!

  • everyone deserves a good thanks giving dinner once. lol the smack sound the turkey makes when it hits the ground is awesome

  • tigers win!

  • Why does it always lick it first? :) btw Great videos!

  • @BoneBeast They lick the fur off, their tongues are like sandpaper :)

  • haha 1:15 the lion was like "WTF was that!?"

  • nom! nom! wonder if they ever left some pieces for us ?? LOL

  • Its great what you do for the cats!!! They all look happy!!!! Love all your vids

  • Cameron like Chicken cause he have never found any Chickens in South African.

  • my bad i meant @1:13

  • lol @1:05 dat lion was like what the fuck was that sound lol

  • lol @1:05 dat lion was like what the fuck was that sound lol

  • he called him abu!

  • man the gate is just too low for tigers.

Tigers can jump out of the gate easily.

  • man the gate is just too low for tigers.

Tigers can jump out of the gate easily.

  • @kwfine What gate are you talking about?

  • man the gate is just too low for tigers.

Tigers can jump out of the gate easily

  • man the gate is just too low for tigers.

Tigers can jump out of the gate easily

  • what a shock???/

  • its a tiger balm....

  • A tiger is one species, Pantera tigris. Siberian, Bengal, etc. are sub species.

  • Very informative Documentary...Thanks.

  • Damn i got tricked!

  • aw, the last lion, was it possibly named after Sarabi from the Lion King? (:

  • Possibly? Sarabi was born in 1995.

  • Well the Lion King came out in 1194, so maybe so. (:

  • haha gobble it off

  • imagin if that was you,lol

  • Happy thanksgiving

  • the cats are beautiful

  • why dont you feed them live aniamls???

  • It's simply just cruel and unnecessary for us to do this, the cats may just "play" with the animals before killing them and might get injured themselves in the process. We only feed live prey to florida bobcats we rehab and release back into the wild.

  • cruel really? the world has turned into a bunch of spinless wimps, the pg version for ya! my house cat toys with mice and birds everyday its good for him! ther is no real differnce between that one and mine exept a few hund pounds. why dont you just say you live in america and you dont want to be sued! anyways im sure a turey can do a lot of harm to that tiger.lol. how stupid.

  • It might be good for him, but not for the ecosystem with all these domestic cats killing native animals. Yes it is cruel and the logistics and cost of feeding 140+ big cats live prey every day blows the mind. Then there's always the chance of the cats getting a beak in the eye or something, not worth the risk or suffering of their "dinner" they are captive animals :)

  • Well if it costs so much to feed them we shouldnt be breeding them captive,or better we shouldnt be destroying their homes.

  • Exactly! We do not breed at the sanctuary, we only rescue these cats from bad situations the thing we spend a lot of time on is trying to get the laws changed regarding captive wildlife. It's way to easy to buy a big cat and breed for the pet trade, this is what we are trying to change and you're right if we can't save habitat for these cats in the wild we are in trouble :(

  • I saw something while in New Mexico recently that local domestic cats who are allowed outside were simply devistating the local bird population.

  • This is true with domestic cats everywhere they have so many different species of animals that they can prey upon they can do some serious damage!

  • @apharot I can imagine that, my maine coon is fast as fuck, pretty amazing and weird to see him in action because he has a big body.

  • BJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

  • umm, they are animals...its natural for them to eat live animals. House cats love birds and mice, bigger cats will want bigger things, that is not cruel and unnecessary....its normal.

  • @11visionary11 Caged isn't exactly natural. Giving them a live hunt is dooming another animal. Ideally(wild) they should be able to do what they need to without human intervention.

  • @11visionary11 idk if i would call a tiger eating a turkey normal hahaha. but i get what your saying.

  • @11visionary11 Yeah! It is life! That's how nature works, people just keep forgetting or are ignorant to the fact that's how nature happens.

  • You can also watch videos of tigers and lions eating live prey here on youtube, if you have a desire to do that.

  • Yep, no probs :)

  • It's just something we do every thanksgiving for the cats, our smaller cats get roaster chickens and game hens etc.. Definitely a fun thing for the cats they get to have a bigger than usual meal, different taste etc... good enrichment for them like whole prey :)

  • It was in the Santa Cruz mountains!! (CA)

  • That's scary! The sad thing is as with a lot of species of cats and other animals, is that they are running out of natural habitat due to development so are appearing more frequently in urban areas :(

  • Its all our fault too. Humans I mean.

  • that fence don't look high enough for me :) ... can't they climb it or jump over it if they run fast enough or something lol

  • We only house tigers or lions in our open air larger enclosures, these cats aren't great climbers to begin with and the perimeter of these enclosures have two hot wires on them so if they did try to climb for some reason they would get a shock to discourage them.

  • the cats in there are so fat... poor cats never have a chance to exercise +__+...

  • Hi, none of our cats are fat really we have a few who may be a little overweight and they will get a prepared diet. All our enclosures are a good size and we provide the cats with pools, enrichment and boomer balls to play with/in, but cats are cats and they sleep 18-20 hours a day and don't really exercise that much if they don't have too! :)

  • OMG They are so beautiful, people shouldn't keep them in captivity. I saw a mountain lion on the street one night and it tried to crouch down in a storm drain! It was so cute.. like a house cat hiding, only 5 feet long! ;)

  • Where was this??

  • MothaFuckthePolice, wut kind of name is that....Ghetto i take it.

  • man i just love cameron the lion awesome

  • I agree he is my favorite cat at the sanctuary. :)

  • no gravy, no mash, no pie

    wtf

  • I know we are slackers! :)

  • The turkey day is just something we do every year to mix things up, give the cats something different. They eat the whole thing including the bones which is a good source of calcium, their regular diet includes a zoo prepared diet with all the minerals and nutrients required then we add chicken and beef as "fillers"

  • Hi! I'm from Italy. I love what you guys do for these beautiful animals. I wish I could do your job, maybe one day, who knows... :) Keep up the good work! Greetings from italy :)

  • I hope you get to work with these animals in the future! Good luck!

  • How come you guys don't feed them live animals?

    Just curious =D

  • It's simply just cruel and unnecessary for us to do this, the cats may just "play" with the animals before killing them and may even get injured themselves in the process. We only feed live prey to florida bobcats we rehab and release back into the wild.

  • I never thought that they might play with them, I guess it makes sense though.

I'm assuming when you say they could get injured like the beaks and claws could get them in the eyes and nose?

I guess it must get pretty annoying how many people ask you why you don't feed them live prey, but I could not see any other comments of this nature and was just curious =D

I love what you guys do, keep up the good work!!

  • It is a common question, but no worries, you're right when you say that the beaks and claws could get them in the eye, that sort of thing. Thanks for watching and commenting :)

  • hi thanx for the info. im from leeds UK. im actually planning on coming for a holiday to Florida this summer. do you have an email address or something that i can get in contact with you ??

i cant seem to reply via my inbox.

this whole "big cat thing" is fascinating !

  • I'm originally from nottingham, small world :) If you want more info you can visit our website bigcatrescue*org, hope you make it to the sanctuary!

  • wow this is awesome! where is this ??

can any1 go and watch this live ????

  • Hi, we are located in Tampa FL. The turkeys are more of a seasonal treat than a regular part of their diet each week, but if you ever visit you can go on a feeding tour if you wanna see the big cats eating up close!

  • i lov this video i love cats and animals ALLOT

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Do they fall asleep like us after they eat the turkey?

  • Yeah most do actually! Then again that's a big portion of what cats do sleep!

  • How many tiger species are there and what are their names?

And sorry if my spelling isn't correct I'm French.

  • Hi, there are 6 tiger sub species left in the wild the siberian/amur, bengal, sumatran, indochinese, south china and malayan. Sorry about the late reply!

  • siberian, the bengal, the indochinese, the malayan, the samatran, and the south china are still existing then there is 3 extinct species. the bengal and the siberian are the 2 main tiger species with the bengal being most popular

  • I think what you guys are doing is Amazing and I think all those zoo's/Circus's should not only have to deal with whatever pathetic consequence there is for abusing animals but they should be forced to assist with the funding for sanctuaries like yours. Personally I do not attend Circus's Most Zoo's or places like Marineland.

  • Thank you, I'm not a huge fan of zoos, but I think they do play an important role in education. There is no need for circuses though, once people stop going to the shows the animals will stop suffering.

  • throw a damn wildabeast in there and let them have some fun...poor fat cats are getting lazy.

  • That sounds like a messy clean up!

  • Wouldn't be much fun for the wildbeest though!

  • Aww, Kitties.

  • Tiger at 2.32 looks fat.

Why don't they throw in turkeys live, give it some exercise?

Or is that too much for the viewers?

  • We never feed out live prey to our cats, except for the florida bobcats we have rehabilitated in the past for release back into the wild. Throwing in live turkeys would be cruel for the birds and also, they could possibly injure our cats with their beaks, so just not a good idea.

  • they should give them live turkys, thats how they would eat in the wild so i dont see anything wrong with it. if people thing seeing a big cat kill a bird is horrible then they need to go eat greens cuz when they eat that burger they should know that cow was killed, skinned, and chopped up so they could eat McDonald's lol

  • Your one smart guy, Not. Dude, if the lion/tiger eats the turkey alive it will then feel pain... but the cow was already killed.

and getting killed the way they kill them is better than getting fuckin eaten alive... smartass

  • im not sure how long a bird would live in the mouth of a tiger...

  • That was a bit hypocritical dude. So you think you're ok because you eat something without killing it yourself. I'm not a vegetarian or activist or anything, but the way they slaughter cows, pigs and other stuff we eat is like... Meh...

  • Cameron the lion must feel like less of a man to have a mating partner bigger and stronger than he is. I mean tigers are the biggest cat species, right???

  • Yep, tigers are the larger of the two species, the siberian being the largest. cameron and Zabu are very similar in size, cam, just looks larger because of his awesome mane!

  • Do you guys keep the tigers and lion here for the rest of their life, or do you plan on reintroducing them back to the wild???

  • Hi, once we rescue them we give them a home for life. Our cats cannot be reintroduced into the wild, they'd be dangerous to humans. Also our cats aren't pure breeds that breeding programs require for reintroduction.

  • Yummy yummy he or she must have had a good thanksgiving!

  • Good thing that 95% of their day is just laying around. Imagine if they hunted for pleasure scary thought for us at the top of the food chain. Amazing how such a beautiful creature can be the most deadly.

  • You're right thats what I admire the most about big cats they look so good looking and graceful but can become deadly hunters in a split second! Good job we have big brains otherwise we'd be done for!

  • Maybe you should give them live food, so that they'd have to work for their food rather than already dead ones.

  • We only give live food to the bobcats that we rehab and release back into the wild so they know how to hunt live prey. Using live prey for all our cats would be cruel, they may play with them for a long time before they died. It would also be very time consuming with 140 cats to feed each day!

  • Bengali looked like he enjoyed that turkey without worrying about scavengers and thieves.

  • Yeah he likes thanksgiving!

  • You guys are giving these animals a life of luxory. No one else to fight them over their meal, and they can just sit there peacefully, lick it, and savor it. Out in the wild it's not like that since they're either fighting amongst each other for a bite, or solitary cats have to eat as fast as possible before another preditor/Scavenger comes along. A Cheetah's life is the perfect example of that point.

I'm glad there are places like Big Cat Rescue for these great animals to survive.

  • Thanks for your support, much appreciated!

  • ya but the thing about that is u can see the wild in their eyes dieing and the want to hunt just go away and ur taking apart of there life away but dont get me wrong im glad they live like this they do get the life of luxory but still they are losing apart of there original life

  • Yeah we know it's sad, we wish we didn't have to exist and we wish we didn't have 140 big cats stuck in cage but we do, and we do our best for them.

  • those big cats look so exited. My cat loves cheese and wheneve I eat string cheese she's not far away! Big cats like these are not pets though. Wild animals don't need us to feed them, they can feed themselves.

  • Zabu: "HEY, I said I like dark meat!" *throws turkey back over fence*

  • throw a baby over it.

  • 3:08 ... i <3 the name... (yeah.. if you couldn't already tell... lol.. *looks at his YouTube page.)

They really seem to enjoy those turkeys.. Great enclosures...( too bad that most sanctuaries don't have such high fences. ... )

  • That sounds like it would make a good video!

  • Who knew turkeys could fly!! lol

  • its the year 2009 and were never going to solve the problems of human irresponsibility unless we get to the root of the problem. we can rescue as many animals as we can but the fact of the matter is there will always be an innocent big cat to save. i think the federal governemnt needs to ban all future buying and selling of these animals as pets.

  • Again you're right we only make a few rescues each year and have to turn away many cats as we haven't got the fu
