  • Does this scotland still exist?

  • Think this one slipped under the Mary Whitehouse radar! My innocent teenage ears were well truly sullied by that one - all those drones and bags amd chanters before the watershed - I thought it ws great!

Also they included other musicians ont those shows - I remember a really great dulcimer player on one of them. Anyone have any of those vids?

  • great tune and if you look up the lyrics (like I had to lol) they are funny :-)

  • This is the first time I heard this. It is fantastic! I love the energy. I did not know about it until now when I read it in Sir Walter Scotts book "Bride of Lammermoor". Thanks

  • @EMesaros Ah thought he said Heilan Shagger at first ha!

  • @Keir316 Actually, it may mean something very similar!

  • Great song, but I can't find any text versions of the chorus anywhere. Does anyone know what they're singing on those parts?

  • SmartServant - the chorus is Upstairs an' doon the stairs I play my chanter rarely, The mair ye hug and kiss the girls they mair they want tae marry.
