  • I understand it now. Thanks!

  • you guys are awesome. Keep it going!!

  • amazing keeps up

  • I like you teach on vedio.

  • @Putaolagalo ,me too:D

  • a good teacher

  • "Go to bed" is enough (and it's similar to an expression and it's what people normally say). You're not going to go to "my" bed or "her" bed either. It's perfectly clear whose bed you have to go to - "your" bed. So the word "your" is redundant. The phrase "go to 'the' bed" is similar. The word "the" indicates a specific bed - we both know which bed you're talking about. Again, it's redundant. Also, "you go home", NOT go "to" home or go to "your" home. "Go home" is similar to an expression. OK?

  • @MadridTeacher Very good. But, what about if we "Non native speakers" use "the" in the cases which you have been asked about.

  • @MrShadyfx

I`m not sure I understood what you have asked about. Do you think the teacher has understood your question as there is no answer still? Please, make yourself clear.

  • @inyazserg Well, it is my mistake. Now try to make a link between what I asked about and the cases which were mentioned by the teacher in his last comment. Got it now hu? To make it more clear, my question would be, What about if we used "go to the bed" and so on. In other words, by using "the" before "bed". It is clear now. Is not it?

  • @MrShadyfx Sure, it is clear now. I hope the teacher will answer. As for me, I suppose that the answer has already been given. You asked on what will happen if some one goes to THE bed.

Answer: THAT bed maybe warmer that this. Or the parent tells child to go to THE bed the one which told a lot of. (the parent is angry with a child). Nevertheless I just suppose. The teacher is a native speaker who definitely knows.

    Ukraine.

  • @inyazserg I am agree with you. Let us see what the teacher's answer will be..

  • what about "go to bed" or "go to your bed" why is this different and not go to the bed? thank you

  • thank you
