Dave Grave likes to experiment with cars and humans. Like taking a fully conscious/sustained human head and hooking it up to a radiator and distributor cap. Usually makes a mess, but it's all about staying positive and never giving up, ya know?
@owlandtree Good one.! Seriously did he.? harshened meat thats dangerous stuff man.! may have put in action a opposite effect on his heath condition apperently
Wow! I'm 44 now and this brings out the bloodlust I used to feel going to see Slayer & Carnivore & the rest. Awesome sound! Aggressive music at it's best!
Repulsion fucking rules....Matt Olivo on lead is my cousin. He can RIP it up.Repulsion is grind core you dumb fuckers .There's a difference from metal and grind core.Get it rite stupid ass.Repulsion ,Terrorizer, Napalm Death are grind core.Irorn Maiden ,Dio and Accept are metal bands .Fucks !
@MrMetalhead39 Grindcore is a subgenre of metal. It infuses Death Metal and hardcore Punk to create a unique and faster genre of Metal. Same as Thrash Metal is influenced by Hardcore punk and more traditional metal such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest. Most Grindcore bands have eventually gone to become full on Death metal, such as Carcass, and Boltthrower. Napalm Death have walked a fine line between Death Metal and Grindcore their entire career.
@gregsvoice666 " It infuses Death Metal and hardcore Punk to create a unique and faster genre
of Metal"<--more Crust/D-beat punk than Hardcore punk, to create a form of Metal/Punk (not just Metal... sorry for my poor english, I hope you understand what I try to explain, Cheers!)
@MrMetalhead39 I also consider the first Cryptic Slaughter's album "Convicted" grindcore even though they eventually became a crossover thrash band. Septic Death also put out some crazy fast shit.
like i've before around here, check your history. this is the original grindcore band. nobody played at that speed when they came out. everyone else, including napalm death is just imitating their style. loved them then, love then now...pure genious.
Napalm death had 4 demos out prior to 1984, which was when Repulsion's first demo was made. Napalm death was most definitely not just imitating their style.
yeah, i've heard the napalm death 1982 demo. not very good. i wouldn't recommend it, and this is coming from a long time fan of theirs. mick harris' drumming is painful to hear, and the music isn't even fast like the 'scum' lp. when repulsion put their demo out, boom...napalm death started playing at that speed too! what a coincidence! well, in the inside sleeve of the scum lp, mick harris lists repulsion and master as his main influences. go figure. long live both bands.
I got tired of this type of music in 90/91 but this recording got my energy going! Great stuff and much better than most followers. Let´s hope the christian heaven will resound this song in the minds of christians ad infitum. Great.
godfathers of grindcore.. i was at that show at the Machine shop in Flint and i tell ya it was fukin great to see them and hang with such a legendary band so close to home (Ontario) Can. cant wait for their DVD!! HEY MATT!! Grab a drink and GET IT IN YA!! Still have that fuzzy bass sound too!! HELL YEAH!!
Well, hello, the genre name is grindCORE; of course they look like punkers. I agree with Human garbage as well. Genocide was a ND influence, and not the other way around.
