  • This reminds me of pro wrestler Dean Malenko. I would have loved to see Malenko doing some real grappling/jiu-jitsu/CACC. I'm sure he would have been great and a great teacher. Even if it was staged, it was clear that Dean Malenko was naturally gifted for submission wrestling.

  • so is it the actual squeezing with your hands that make your opponent tap?

  • @SFCajlewis you have to squeeze with your hands and pull backwards with your back and arms puts a lot of pressure on the ankle and calfs :)

  • fake

  • I teach grappling submission wrestling in san jose and tried this after watching this video. You'll get a tap for sure problem is its impossible to get! However I was surprised how quick the pain comes. Its basically a double Achilles lock.

  • @b7r7u7c7e It is easier setting up the TCL from butterfly guard. Josh Barnett and Erik Paulson used to teach this many years ago. I think if you find Sakuraba's old instructional, he shows how to set it up from the butterfly, Cheers

  • I just turn them over so its a Cloverleaf-Sharpshooter variation.

  • @TheHuntingRKO but before they are on their belly they are already tapping once you clasp your hands on the leg under that figure four. it's the same way the leglock works

  • Submission over Position!!

  • Hey, Tpickering. Quick question. I gave little thing not too long ago about the sharpshooter. People are debatin'. If I give you a vid of my sloppy version of doing the sharpshooter, lol, can you see if you can clean it up a bit and make it better?

  • BRASIL FLAG! YEAH GO BRASIL

  • nice video. you should upload a video of u doing the anaconda vise. nice video sir i liked it

  • Awesome Takedown!

  • but this guy is making a big mistake.he's not protecting his neck

  • Such an awesome move, also so effective when attacking a person in guard position

  • this move works i tried it the other day on a bjj guy and he tapped before i turned em cacc is the best good job with the vids

  • This is pretty cool. I know you can use submissions from pro wrestlin', and both Shoot Wrestlin' and catch wrestin' are in Pro Wrestlin'. It's just staged, is all. And heavily exaggerated/stylized in America. Tell me, is there a way to do the Sharpshooter??

  • I have never tried. I see what I can come up with after I do some research.

  • @azraelangelofred i bet you the sharpshooter wudnt be applicable because you wud prolly give up the heel hook or some other leg lock.

  • @luchador1764 Actually, I have my own way of doing it. I just want a better way. Just one way, from the guard. I break the guard, stack him on the neck, then put my leg between his and try to very QUICKLY wrap his legs and apply it. Has to be done quick and doesn't ALWAYS work. Was wanting a better way to do it.

  • @azraelangelofred are you talking about doing your own sharpshooter b/c the way you explained it seemed confusing

  • this move is pro-wrestling, in real fight no works

  • That's awesome. I always liked it when Dean Malenko used it in wrestling and its cool to know it really works.

  • I always loved pro wrestling since I was young and the cloverleaf was one of my favorite moves. Now I'm i college and doing MMA training so I get double the excitement over this move, I will try this for sure. Former Amateur Wrestler + Pro Westling Fan + MMA Training = THIS MOVE!

  • I glad to hear it, alot of people poopoo moves like these but they work, I have caught this in alot of matches and used it to pass to rear control or actually got the panic tap. Thanks for the kind words and keep rolling brother!

  • i wanna say thank you so very much for posting this videos. i m training to fight mma style and i love wrestling i did for 7 years in high school and i love this videos because it so second nature to me to transition into.

  • @tpickering what's the difference between this and when people appy the move while sitting on the opponents back

  • @cjmagiera2010 I'm not trying to be pretentious, but I think you're thinking of the Boston crab. If so, it's different type of submission. It's a spine lock that's pretty dangerous if applied with force.

  • Actually all pro wrestling has Catch Wrestling roots. The move is not fake and I have used it to pass to rear conrtol. So before you knock it.......well you know the rest

  • i was wondering if u could show how to set up a crippler crossface from standing ?

  • Its fake its a pro wrestling move.

  • who ever rated it 5 stars thanks. Hope to put out some more stuff from our BJJ head instructor, our Muay Thai instructor, Hapkido instructor, MMA instructor and boxing instructor. Keep an eye out.
