Do you think the monetary system as it is today, is a positive constructive force, which is good for human welfare and development..?
We could have clean energy today based on Nikola Tesla inventions over hundreds years ago, but the oil companies biggest threat is clean, free and eternal energy...
He's wrong. It's easy money, not regulation. He doesn't understand economics and he's screw it up like Obama will. Roosevelt made the depression last longer.
Who are you talking to? Careful on calling out grammar violations (just what the net needs, another grammar Nazi) lest you want your remarks combed through for mistakes. I'll assume you weren't asking a question since you didn't put a question mark behind your sentence and were just just making a snide remark.
They are giving our money to corporations so they can make jobs for us to earn it back. And they are giving our money to banks so we can borrow it back with interest!!
I will contribute to the bailout fund if Henry (Hank) Paulson — U.S. Treasury Secretary, former Goldman Sachs CEO, and all-around bald guy ponies up the $200 million in capital gains tax he was exempt from having to pay. It seems Hank made a bundle from 2003 to 2006 and did not have to show Uncle Sam the money. I made around $17,776 during the same period and though I have already paid Uncle Sam, I would cough in a few more bucks if Hank throws up, err in, his $200 million.
Message to Main Street America: How about Renting if you cannot afford to by ? How about cooking instead of filling up your cart with frozen dinners at $8 each ? How about saving up 5% of a down payment for a house (as it is still a requirement in Canada.. Listed as Best banking System in the World yesterday ).. How about saving up enough money so you can pay the mortgage and other expenses for 12 months (as being thought by most Economy 101 classes).. Blame others.. Yes, that is EASY..
Ralph Nader is right, don't bail out the crooks and speculators of wall-street. But the average American. Let the banks go bankrupt! As well as AIG. Save GM!
juscurious.....You seem to be the only clown on this board! Did you even listen to what Nader said? Or are you just judging him by a label? Guess Socialism is ok for you when it's used to bail out the reckless theaving banking system at tax payer expense. Why don't you wait until your savings and 401K are wiped out before you make comments?
laviliterthefirst; Hope that you can get ahold of New York Magazine issue dated 9/29/08; The Panic of 2008. It has a really clear and detailed explanation of the Wall Street CRASH and it's ramafications for all of us in several well written articles. By the way, that explaination is quiet different from the one being sold by the popular press. We actually should thank Nader for speaking out against government buyout. Too bad that his message isn't getting out.
Mr. Nader is brilliant, and something really rare today, honest. As president he would seek justice for all Americans. He has been so right for such a very long time. Whether democrat or republican greed and a corporate mind set has taken over. It's ruining this country. Obama and McCain can't help themselves. Even the elections may be stolen by ACORN, a corrupt organization with strong ties to Obama. Grass root efforts begin here!
Bring sanity to our inept government. Wake up, Vote Nader 2008!
Do you think Bush started this on his own? Your wrong, get your facts straight. It started in the Clinton era, and in fact, the democratic congress continued voting down regulation. And, yes if you want to blame me go ahead. I'll take you on!
He's the man! But, the problem is that society cant handle the truth. Nobody wants to deal with truth. People would rather suffer and be sick than handle the truth. Unfortunately, that is human character!
The test of our progress is not whether we add to the abundance of those who have much. It is whether we provide enough to those who have little. ~Franklin Delano Roosevelt
I disagree, but that is in defense of other third party candidates like Bob Barr (and Ron Paul). Both McCain and Obama contributed to the bailout and nobody questions it since it was bipartisan. THEY ARE ALL CROOKS!
I have looked into Mr. Barr and was impressed with his party's platform. I also consider myself to be an ardent Ron Paul supporter, so I understand where you're coming from.
Yes. I've always voted Nader!!1
