@gulfangler43 absolutely nothing wrong with a net. I use it all the time when kayak fishing. It helps keep the fish under control and makes it easier to unhook the fish especially when using treble hooks or when the fishes are bigger. And my net is made of rubber so to not damage the slim coat.
