The biggest problem I've seen with lowering bugs is the camber. if you do the mod properly, all the tires will be flat on the ground. Also lowering the front end I could never figure out. I had 135's on the front and a middle welded drop kit on the front end, didn't seem to do the trick. I'm running all stock height now and it looks good but I always did like how lowered beetles look. I just somehow don't think it does anything for the handling or performance but I could be wrong.
I hear Hitler ordered Dr.Porsche to design Volkawagen before World War Ⅱ. When I saw these cars in my countryside of Japan some decades ago,I thought Hitler's dream was realized.

@KarmerKurtz He also wanted the car, which he called KDF at the time, to achieve 40mpg as well as be able to handle the high heat of summer weather on the autobahn, though not focusing on speed. These cars were all designed for a maximum speed of 50mph and as well achieve the best fuel economy at that speed (just like most modern cars built today do anyway which is quite silly) I run at about 68-70mph and I'm getting about 23-25mpg combined. It's a wonder with bigger carbs to achieve that mpg.
the offset is looks bad . Are you going to stick them out or is that how an older bug is supposed to look? the wheels are perfect touch on this car. Looks like an awesome ride!
