Wildrose Alliance party is a provincial party. They get elected in provincial elections to become the provincial government. The Bloc Quebecois is a federal party We vote them only during the federal elections. It was created in 91 as a coalition between some federal Liberal and Progressive Conservative after the failure of Meech Lake accord. They created the Bloc to defend Quebec interest on the federal scene.

Almost all of Quebecois are for a decentralized federalism, no matter what their position is on independence. NPD and Liberals always propose things that would centralize the federation. This let us only two choices: Conservatives and Bloc. Those who aren't right-wing will vote Bloc. This has something to do with history, like it or not, and yes this is what democracy looks like.
I am sick and tired of hearing about how the British and Americans killed the Native Americans all the time while always leaving out that the Spanish, Portuguese and French did the same thing. The French had a campagin of Francization which entailed the banning of the German language ln city and street names, public administration, educational system, etc and because of this Alsace-Lorraine is French today with no seperatism. A new country is always fragile at first but there is no reason whatsoever for our economy to crash. It is one of the most important tasks of the Canadian government to balanace the demographics in Quebec more evenly between English and French Canadians. This can be done by encouraging about 2 milliion Anglophones to settle the province of Quebec and to settle mainly in Montreal, Quebec City, Gataneau and Trois Rivires especially. The more English that Quebec gets the better and this will defeat seperatism.

Great Britain defeated France in the French and Indian War and at the Treaty of Paris, France ceaded New France to Great Britain in exchange for the French West Indies. This means that Quebec belonged to the British and now belongs to their successors in North America which is the Canadians. But the same thing applies to Newfoundland or any other province for that matter and no one else is wanting to separate the way Quebec does. The rest of the country sees Quebec as the "squeaky wheel" for lack of a better term, in order to get what they want from the feds. If Quebec separated it wouldn't be long before you asked to come back or the U.S took you over.

Wildrose Alliance party is a provincial party. They get elected in provincial elections to become the provincial government. The Bloc Quebecois is a federal party We vote them only during the federal elections. It was created in 91 as a coalition between some federal Liberal and Progressive Conservative after the failure of Meech Lake accord. They created the Bloc to defend Quebec interest on the federal scene.

The French had a campagin of Francization which entailed the banning of the German language ln city and street names, public administration, educational system, etc and because of this Alsace-Lorraine is French today with no seperatism.
