There is some recommendation for frosting cakes: don't put hip-hop sh!t when you are cooking, that make the people have diarrea. Keep concentrate in your work and everything it's going much better than an descentralized frosting that looks like made by the legs of a goat or something like that :P

Whether your technique is wrong or not is one thing. But cmon, there was no consistency from cupcake to cupcake. One cupcake had frosting in the middle, some off to the side, some had way more than others, etc.

I hope you made both the batter and frosting from scratch.
