  • Can't believe this the solution. Current government is too stupid...

  • they are leftists. they are not intereted in american beef itself. they just want to overthrow current korean government.

  • It really is a crime that Koreans are protesting a nonissue while their brothers and sisters are tortured and millions dying of starvation in North Korea, just 30 miles north of Seoul.

  • well we deserve to eat what is right you know and i do not understand any relationship between mad cow disease protesting and starvation in N.K.

  • All this talk about violence in the protests is interesting. There have been protests daily for weeks now and the violence that has occured has been minimal.

It is also interesting to point out that the protests against the Grand Canal (of which I was a part) were never met with violence, not one incident. And it looks as if we've won that fight - Lee Myung-bak has chosen to give the people of Korea the final decision on whether the Canal will be built or not.

  • Rubish. I've been there and it was absolutely

peaceful. Have you ever seen police heating the people?? Shut up if you don't know the whole story bitch

  • Hey, randomletterzZ, you crazy stupid duck. Do you really have a brain?? Have you ever read a line on a paper, I mean except trashes like Chosun? At the beginning, all we wanted was only conversation with President. And you know, poor looser, every demonstration is accepted in 100m around the Blue House. Who ignore law in violence is Goverment. Get it??

  • I would like to read "Slaugterhouse." Who's the author? Chucky what are you saying? I don't "get it." I really don't see a coherent point. Use Korean if you have to, I can read it. Read something besides the 한겨례. The most simple and effective solution for this problem is to not buy the american beef if you don't want to eat it. That's what capitalism is all about, voting with your money. If you want to be a communist, go up north for a while and see what it's like.

  • ya made me login. I can see your korean, so you think eating mad cow beef is capitalism and trying to avoid getting disease is Communism? Trying to be the rightful citizen is also what capitalism emphasise

  • If even one person gets mad cow disease from American beef, I will set set myself on fire to protest it being imported into Korea. Gotgryffinfor, don't try to twist my messages until until your English is able to handle it. Read some more Harry Potter and let the adults discuss this.

  • ha ha. You think you are so smart. Ha ha. No I don't get it. I went down to the protests and I saw the law being broken by angry mob not practicing democracy, but instead practicing violence.

  • I love comments like, 'if you don't want to eat American beef, don't buy it.' And all the people who are going to al this trouble are realizing (if they are honest), 'hey, he's right!' As my Zen master would say, 'the big stupid is coming out.'

  • listen, randomletterzZ. i agree with you that certain group did not behave 'peacefully' at certain moments. but that's not the point. the issue here is that nothing have been changed even after the government expressed 'sorry' to the citizens. read 'slaughterhouse' the non-fictious novel then you will change your mind. cheers.

  • Here's an idea. If you don't want to eat American beef, don't buy it. Also the one case of mad cow disease in America was from an imported Canadian cow.

  • There have been three cases of mad cow in the States, and yes one was from a cow born in Canada. However, that never indicated that the cow was infected when it arrived in the US (though, yes, Canada also has had incidents of mad cow). Regardless, all cases of the disease in the States occured in cows born before 1997. That is an important factor to remember.

  • Congratulations! Castle MB. the new landmark of Seoul

  • It would not have been necessary if people respected the police. Every foreigner in Korea sees that Korean people do not respect legal authority. When the law works for them, the follow it, when it does not, they ignore it. Its the farthest thing from democracy.

  • If you drive around in Korea you can see how the average Korean feels about a persons civic duty to follow the law.

  • You do have a point, especially regarding traffic laws and disorderly conduct; however, you have to remember that Korea is still a developing nation, but one that generally tends to advance more quickly than others. Things are changing here. Slowly but surely. Give it time.

  • MB Comedy

  • Fuck Lee Myung-bak.

  • the govnt dont c what's wrong and y ppl are protesting against them. its more than the US beef import but how they have implmented the agreement. (just btw the leaders, not even listening to wat the citizens think) Now, the govnt action of making MBwall w/ containers clearly show how govn't not even tries to listen to the public, simply by putting barricade btw them. (and i heard this is an illegal action too-making barricade w/o the consent of the department)

  • are these containers filled with amercian beef ???

  • They're filled with cow shit.

    *That's metaphorical by the way...

  • the protesters are so lucky that they are not in the US. The korean govt seems to be trying to manage this situation too softly.

Violence like this in the US? Hmmmm rubber bullets will be flying!!!!

I guess putting up the barriers may be necessary to stop the Mad Cow Protesters!

Perhaps, the protests already have the disease.

  • that's why America is shit country. those are not violator. those are the citizens of corea. we protest in peaceful way. and the, goverment provoked us in violent way on purpose to make this protest look like violent.

  • So hooking chains up to the police buses and trying to pull them out of the way and trying to tip the buses over was non-violent? How about when you spray painted all over the buses? You realize that it's your tax money that will pay to clean that off?

  • fuck you

  • Its people like you that make these Irresponsible and Immature comments that drives Relationships betweens countries to countries more difficult

  • I'm sorry, but I have to object; firstly, how can you say comments on a youtube video drive relationships between 'countries to countries more difficult'?

As for the comment about the U.S and rubber bullets...Well, congratulations! such a great way to quash public dissent! Sounds like something Stalin would endorse.

People have a right to peaceful public protest in a democratic country, and long may that right continue!

  • People have a right to protest peacefully, but when they get out of control you need to get out the rubber bullets. Trying to tip over police buses and trying to trample police lines is not what I would consider "peaceful."

  • what the fuck is that container?

Korean government and civilian are nut.

I don't like fuck this country

  • President(...)Lee-myung bak is such a stupid and arrogance person. That containers are not "COMUNICATION". My god, He's so stupid..

  • what's in your mind, you filthy rat?

shame shame shame shame on YOU!
