I remember this episode, my mother was convinced that the bully kid's family was going to buy their old car lol I was hoping they'd go for the Mustang...at the end my aunt was like "Oh I remember when people used to do that, they'd get a new car and everybody in the neighborhood would come over and look at it"
@RichieEastside nah i think its jersey, cause in 1 episode kevin asks his dad where his grandpas from and he says Newark (new jersey)...also he rocks the Jets jacket..though theres never a winter there, i dont think they ever really wanted us to know
All right, now I am confused!!!!!! "The Wonder Years" was said to have taken place in Anytown, USA, but for 3 frames starting at 1:27, you can clearly see that that BEAUTIFUL '68 Polara wagon, not '63, get it right, producers, has a California license plate on it!!!!! Why couldn't they have just said that the show was set in a California suburb & not divulged the town?!! It is not rocket science!!! Did those producers think we were so stupid that we would not see that license plate?!!
Jack calls a 1969 vintage automobile tin and plastic.....lol if he could see the crap that rolls off the lines today!~

@needles1987 or more likely the show was shot in California which is why they have California plates.

@RichieEastside Amazing how California suburb can look like any small-town USA. Or at least what I think of as that. :-)

@landyachtfan79 -I saw that when they showed it for the first time. Plus I lived quite close to their filming location.
