Your Mother reminds me of a lady in Japan that owned a small restaurant and served the best fried rice....much better than Chinese style. Anyway, she scolded her son who was running by my table, and then hugged him. She looked at me, smiled, like your mom is smiling, and said "he understands more when I show I love him". A neat lady that I've never forgot....
