@OminousBurden I assume you mean an i5 2500k overclocking it to 4.5Ghz. Yes there is barely a difference in gaming However i7 has hyperthreading which does give it the performance boost in some applications. But with overclock remember that you need a good cooler.

I dont care if it takes 5 minutes more to render a video then an i7 cpu as long as its not 25 min or more. btw I will be getting a corsair h100 cooler or noctua dh14

No both should be relatively similar. But remember that both of the coolers are very large and would require a large case. But it also depends of video editing software what are you planning to use for the video editor?
