I don't know if she is mean to her... I didn't watch the movie but it seems to me that the teacher simply signals her that it was not ok that she was late, but nevertheless she appreciates her beautiful voice and asks her to come on to the stage to be the one who's leading the prayer....

Jaya was extremely talented !!. Do current stars watch these old movies?. Abhishek and his wife should watch old movies , instead of dancing in the same position and same style for ever and bore us.
