  • I'm still using only 2 tubes for last year and still sounds fine. Has anyone replace the el34s for 6L6s I have some 6L6 power tubes, but dont know if I replace them it would damage my amp.

  • @BOBBYGITRPLYR Don't do it. It'll mess up your amp. This can be done on the switchblade TSC but not on the original.

  • @Koneesh Thanks!

  • So, do you still using only 2 power tubes?

    It is still sounding great?

I think i'm gonna try it with my jcm 900.

    Thanks!

  • @RSBband2008 It still sounds great. I've continued to keep the tubes out. No problems yet. A word of caution when pulling the tubes:Don't jiggle them or the center of the plastic will break. The tube will still work but it sucks when something breaks.

  • @Koneesh Thanks for the advise!

    Rock On!

  • awesome man, im gonna do it. then instead of plugging my 8 ohm cab into the 8 ohm spot, i would use the 4 ohm spot correct?

  • @Gzegomax 4ohm from the head to and 8 ohm cabinet. The rule is having the cabinet number larger. Let me know how it goes.

  • @Gzegomax yes, 4 ohm head to 8 ohm cab

  • did you lose any bass response?

  • @Gzegomax No loss in bass response at all. That being said, I've been trying to get less bass in my guitar sound to avoid a muddy band mix.

  • how does it sound with them removed

  • @Gzegomax It sounds awesome
