  • TATICOOL

  • @evikecom Is this durable enough to be used for my actual AR-15 and doing run and gun?

  • Comment removed

  • can your JG / Echo1 / CYMA 300rd Metal Hi-Cap Magazine Airsoft AEG (Set of 8) fit an src sr4 and can i get it shipped to England?

  • @peterboroughairsoft dude it can be shipet over the world, but it gona cost :P

  • Comment removed

  • im gonna get one of these for sure can't stand having so many worthless pouches around my mag pouches to get through just to reload i got 10 mid caps so i will have to make two of them a dual mag but for the price its pretty good with all the extra space

  • Thanks for showing me where the back was, wouldnt have found without you (Y)

  • It looks so fucking cumbersome. I mean it could operate as a tactical table when eating you MREs but thats about it

  • So I got this in the mail and tried it during a short game.

    1. The pouches don't flap around when I run.

    2. It's very possible to go prone. The pouches splay off sideways and it's pretty comfortable to crawl around with. However, it made me a really effective plowing machine.

    3. Interesting design sped up reload by a bit.

Former military here and I don't claim to have hardcore SF experience. This works, but don't expect magic.

Cons are that the color is cheap, and material may not last.

  • can you make a holy cow video explaining how it works

  • What happens when an airsoft company tries to be innovative? They get hated on and trolled :P Theyve got the right idea but not quite there yet...

  • Oh and they do move back and forth but make no noise my favorite plate carrier

  • U wouldn't break your mags being prone. Of course the people complaining have never tried the vest and found that with metal m4 mags and thunder B's and Gbb mags and radios you don't break then going prone i have only broke 1 speedloader and 1 thunder b shell going prone in this vest its no worse than a norm. Vest so stop complaining

  • the mag pouches would flop back and fourth and I couldnt go prone, I have an oetech plate carrier with cummerbund, i have 2 double mag pouches in front and i can barely go prone with that.

  • inovvating? ha the army of my country carry their mags like this like 20 years ago

  • can you fit g36 mags? PLEASE RESPOND.

  • I think is different but it look very interesting. That rig would be great with the pistol mag configuration so you can run double pistol style for easy reloading.

  • Since when did innovative = retarded?

  • @zerohourkevin - awesome.

  • and you can forget a 3 point harness with that vest. sorry. didn't anyone field this thing during integration and test???

  • yeah sorry that looks dumb.

  • :/ i am a extreme player in airsoft, and i really like to jump and fall prone, so... i think, if i use that vest i will broke my mags xd

  • Former military and now milsim airsoft player here. I'm a bit skeptical about the format of the mag pouches, but I never knock anything I haven't tried. I'll let you guys know about my findings once I get it in the mail.

  • Why don't you guys stop whining about not being able to go prone, and just don't get the vest.Just because there's something that you don't like about it doesn't mean you have to whine about it.

  • Comment removed

  • not bad but as a grenadier... not for me

  • Meh, that'd be sweet for speedball, not sure about large-scale milsim.....

  • There is a reason you don't see this in the real steel industry... Not practical.

  • I dont see why u people giv evike.com bad cred about this. They made a working practical vest that certain people might use who dont go prone like most people

  • shut up about going prone.

99% of you tards dont even prone in a real airsoft game.

I got a L96 with a bipod and i only prone 5% of the time.

But still not a very practical vest, you can hold the same amount with 2 double mag pouches...

  • @jagon55 Amen, brother.

  • @jagon55 Well, I can tell you that 100% of the games I play, I go prone. I find it strange that someone with a long gun like yours isn't going prone more often. If you play on CQB/MOUT it would make more sense. But if you play field, and you play it seriously there is a decent chance you are going prone.

  • @theblackkettle Most fields here in LA are shared between paintballers and airsofters, and there is nothing more we airsofters hate than getting paint on our expensive gear. Reason I dont prone as much when i use my sniper is

1.) Im going to get covered in paint

2.) most fields I snipe on are urban environments where i can place my gun on a window

And you are right the only time I actually prone is on a field map with a lot of open space.

  • @jagon55 if you have a l96 you have no need for a big ass vest like this lol

  • @TeoDucky I dont even wear a vest when i snipe

my point is that 99% of airsofters dont prone when they play so they should stop bitching about the vest.

  • @jagon55 For indoor play I couldn't agree with you more, but for outdoors going prone happens alot, especially players with Military training. But seriously this vest is a joke, it's a tactical disaster. It's just a matter of time before the material gets soft and the mags start slapping against each other. Four double pouches can carry just as many mags using less realestate. The junk Evike sells never ceases to amaze me, and the noobs buying it never ends.

  • @Beowulf2ligt i guess the fields you play at there are a lot of people going prone or something because out here in so cal all the fields i go to ScVillage, Hollywoood Sports and CPP which are mostly open field maps, I have only seen about 2 people prone (in my whole airsoft career). And they did look like they had some military experience... or just alot of money. Hence which is why I said 99% because there is always those rare 1% of people who do do it. ;]

  • not goin to drop 70 dollars to not be able to go prone

  • theres a reason this hasnt been done before...

  • That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. How does having your mags oriented sideways like that help?

  • I prefer the moe moe molle load out.

  • A lot of people are complaining about not being able to go prone.. Most people do not go prone and do not usually need to go prone. Most of the time you'll be crouched or standing. Unless you are a Sniper or a DM then you shouldn't want this vest anyway.

  • @mranalog LOL bitch, I probably know more about SF than you do. This is what airsofters do, know about gear and military practices. FYI, Im enlisted, I dont need your input.

  • Extra Piece of Kit? Kit odr shit ;)

i think for airsoft in urban situation mabye works, and it looks cool.. so why not for playing indoors ;P

  • Dumbest Idea I have seen to this day, truly! There are way to many obstacles to break your mags that I am not even going to begin to name. Matrix try harder! F this system.

  • Sweet

  • @Ripperisbeast Dude. this is a bad system. Learn to distinguish hating from stating opinions, youll be a much happier person.

  • Showed my JTAC buddy this video, he laughed his ass off and it is now being circulated around AFSOC.

  • why would i play with my snack while on the field

  • hey... wanna spare that gun in the top right corner? it's dang nice lookin'

  • once sof starts using these style of mag pouches for the public eye to see, all these haters will vanish.

  • @mranalog SF would never use this. I dont believe them when they say this was "derived from a personal rig of SF personnel". It's not practical, and it'd be literally impossible to go prone.

  • @BasterdAirsoft Incorrect. It'd be uncomfortable, but still doable. Don't be such a hater bro. Please and thank you. HAS NICE DAY.

  • @BasterdAirsoft First, if you have "airsoft" in your username, please don't make comments for actual members of that community. You have absolutely no idea what SF is up to or what they have planned for their future. With that being said, i agree that "derived from a personal rig of SF personnel" is a ploy to get kids that don't know any better, to buy this product.

  • @mranalog Oh yeah, it's a total hype up. No SF would ever use anything like this.

  • @BasterdAirsoft Cont.--- I don't see this rig being commonly used by SF as a whole but I'm sure there are a few out there that express personal and shooter preference in this way. Either way, my point was, all these kids that play too much call of duty think they are now experts when it comes to a military topic. Not say that it will, but if these rigs did become common amount SF, all the people calling them stupid and useless would be playing a different tune. That is all.

  • @BasterdAirsoft just because their special forces it doesnt mean that they sit back at long range prone in a bush. This would be a great vest to wear in CQB. And there are SF trained specially in city combat and CQB

  • One, I dont play Cod, its a bad game, only MMOs and mech games for me. No I am not a mindless gamer, actually I play airsoft quite often. Now I do agree that this gear would be bulky. I dont see why the mags would be swinging around that badly though. But its not that excessively bad. Now one thing, but doublestacking do you mean the wider magazines that replicate bullets held in the z pattern (should fit in this) Or taping 2 mags together so you flip them to reload. Term is used for both cases.

  • @linkxsc Double stacking is when you put two mags in the same pouch. The mag pouches are set to fit one mag, therefore, double stacking wouldn't work. On top of that, if you have a full mag, in a flimsy nylon pouch that's just hanging there like these ones are, you'd experience them swinging back and forth when you run. Bottom line, this was another Matrix failed attempt. Believe me when I say, if you're going to buy gear, stay away from Matrix. Buy replicas of real steel carriers, or real ones.

  • @BasterdAirsoft aha, okies then (noone calls that doublestacking when I play, its just wide pockets up here in NH), And considering I play mostly lowcap matches, having a "full mag" wouldnt be that much of an issue. Easy enough to sew an elastic strap along the bottom of those to the chest to make it not wave (i still doubt it would tho)

And yeah I never buy "airsoft" gear. Most all of my stuff is ghetto. Hell first year i used a fishing vest from wallmart with a couple big pockets sewn in.

  • @linkxsc lolz, Just trust me man, if you ever get into Gear Whoring like me, then you'll know the reason this vest is unattractive.

  • @BasterdAirsoft um yea i watched the video and they never said that the vest derived from a special forces rig, yes it has special forces in the name but that doesn't mean its the real thing, and who cares about going prone??? i have never gone prone in my 2 years of airsofting and i find it impractical when prone you are an easy target because you are the slower target allowing your enemy more time to shoot at you before you can get up and fire back. you just DURPED

  • @justinrules96 They replied to me in a comment that it was, and I quote, "derived from a vest that was custom for special forces". That is bullshit. Two, in the two years you've been? LOL I'm going on my ninth year, it is very practical to go prone, especially when you're using sniper/DMR rifles. So, you've made yourself look kinda dumb here man, take a word from the wise. Don't speak, unless you've got your shit straight.

  • @mranalog That will never happen, I showed this video to a JTAC buddy of mine and he laughed his ass off. It is currently making it's way around AFSOC.

  • @AFSOCbum Oh no, I completely agree. I was merely making a hypothetical statement. Just saying that "if" SOF ever did start wearing these. All the little air softer kids that are hating on it (for good reason), would be first in line at the stores to buy it. Cyre Ind. and multi cam are great examples. I laughed myself. Like i replied above though, there ay be a few dudes with specific personal and shooter preference. But as a whole community, na.

  • @mranalog Gotcha.

  • noob question, what is the gun opn the top left?

  • @narib414 Scar-L

  • whats the gun on the top right?

  • I wonder if the mag pouches can hold 2 m Mp7 mags without them falling out?

  • fuckin smart

  • @Apophis392 MORE MAGS

  • looks weird but looks practical for CQB

  • This vest would be amazingly uncomfortable for me. I always play in the field and find myself going prone very often. Double-M4 traditional pouches with a G36 mag in them are already uncomfortable sometimes...

BUT I can see how a CQB player could find good use on this.

  • @FrackleRackle Ok you do have a good point, and i do not disagree with it, however magazine pouches have been around for very close to 100 years. much longer than computers. In that time if this design were more practical, wouldn't it have caught on? And thereby, become the standard (just as computers have in their life span)

though you did pick a good thing to compare these pouches to,with computers, cause they are both a pain in the arse.

  • this seems borderline terrible... for those who go prone, this would be a nightmare... a mag set like that would be like 3 mag widths

  • @LaotianSniper That's why it's high speed. Not really designed for field play when you will be laying down a lot.

  • thumbs up if you are the 302 verer

  • The way of having the mags lay flat on your chest works just fine. Why fix something thats not broken?

  • cool, lets make this weird ass vest and call it "the special forces vest" so video game fags buy it!

  • you cant lay prone in that vest

  • @276merc Can you lay prone with a triple stack on the front ?

  • @EndlessGoodness i don't triple stack so i wouldn't know

  • @276merc guess its not very tactical then

  • Can they fit .308/7.62? I have a SCAR Heavy.

  • that vest doesnt hold any more mags than previously capable

  • this doesn't make sense to me. you can put a double mag pouch on and it will take up the same amount of space as two of the mag pouches on this vest. Just seems a little awkward to me.

  • Try going prone in this vest!

  • I just can't see how these work when prone, for a soldier that is. Maybe for ultra cqb airsoft they might work, but the side to side support/wobble of the pouches could be a problem. Also when they are turned that way they come out farther from the center of gravity, making them weigh a bit more relative to the carrier, although airsoft mags usually weigh nothing... :p

  • horrible just horrible

  • Airsoft is beginning to piss me off with all these kids running around with "spec ops navy seal" set ups with extra gear they don't need. Be practical! When do you every go prone? I sure as hell don't. And I never see anyone (but snipers) in youtube videos do it, so I know im not out of the ordinary.

Things like plate carriers were designed for real fighting. Not airsoft. If they were designed for airsoft, they sure as hell would be different. Just because its not used in combant means jack.

  • seriosuly if you don't like it don't buy it, damn

  • Useless

  • Works for auto-gunners, disallows dynamic engagement though.

  • lol going prone on that would probably ruin the mag pouches, aside from the fact that you're going to have like multiple mags jabbing at your gut and stomach.

  • then after crawling in the dirt for 10 mins to acquire target you go to change mags and load one that is full of dirt, mud, or anything you crawled through... its a nice thought, but if it really practical,... wouldn't it already be what we commonly use?

  • @WASuggs To your last statement, computers are practical, yes? But they weren't already in use in the 1900's were they?

Just because its new and hasn't been around, doesn't make it automatically bad.

  • is there a vid in which he doesn't say "in addition to that"?

  • good concept, but no...

  • How can you go prone?

  • There's a reason they don't face the mags like that great job matrix

  • this would only be good in Cqb, in the field there are times where u need to go prone and then your and your bags are fucked

  • ummm it holds 8 mags... fail

  • Talk about front heavy.

  • Total garbage!!!

  • couldnt they fall out while your running around? i suppose you could put the safety holders over them but then it really wouldnt be fast reload..

  • Comment removed

  • Is it just me or does he say "in addition to that" a lot?

  • Personally I think this might be cool if it was more of a CQB vest, as a field vest between tripping or going prone or crawling I think its a horrible idea.

CQB on the other hand since there is a smaller chance of tripping and no chance of going prone this actually might be cool, IF it was a smaller type vest like an RRV or something so a person could run around quicker and what not

  • vest is nice, i feel the mags would get in the way, it'd be cool if i could save $30 by not getting the mag holders

  • Sorry, but this is crap. It's no different than any other plate carrier that you see a 12 year old with at the local CQB place. It won't make mag changes any faster because airsofters don't change mags fast, ever. The snack holder is great for the chairsofters I normally see, that would work. Epic Fail.

  • thats sick... but sadly I would not wear that

  • *Running*

    *Trip*

    *Mags all break*

    *FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU*

in other words this is no good whatsoever

  • @IronmanLE1 Metal mags, sorted

  • @IronmanLE1 if it was CA metal ones they will break YOU.....

  • It's a very innovative design, but is not practical whatsoever. Maybe for CQB, where you're switching Mags a bit often. But still.

  • i want aa-12 airsoft noooowww!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @evikecom are the pouches removable?

  • i aint run around with bottle meh cantien FTW!!!

  • This was meant for Airsoft CQB, where you don't go to prone all that often, if ever at all. It's logical that a reload would be faster with a setup like this since the act of rotating the mag when it's out of the mag pouch is less therefore making the reload much more efficient.

  • ...I thought vest was a joke

  • I'd prefer NOT getting shanked by my pouches when I lay down.

  • They stick out so much making you a bigger target, difficult to maneuver in a vehicle and enclosed spaces and prone, flop around while moving, will catch on things, waaaay less ergonomic pulling mags out, need I continue? SOF my ass, they'd laugh themselves stupid if you tried using this outside the wire. Evike, you have failed with this one.

  • hmmm, ill pass.

  • We are aware that most people are used to what is ordinary. But keep in mind, being tactical is about being innovated to gain tactical advantages, not about "looking like that other guy".

For those that actually double and triple stacks magazines to keep them together, I am sure you all agree it is not easy to pull in and out. It is why Magpul and other accessories are invented to further weight you down. Remember, the goal is to be high speed and practical.

  • @evikecom being tactical, high speed and practical, would make more sense in this case if the mags WERENT like that. because now your body is wider and less maneuverable when in the prone position or up against the wall. Think Ops here... ive played Operation Pine Plains 5-6 and imagining myself in a high speed combat situation fighting building to building, room to room, it would be hard to move around. you would want to remain as low profile as possible. cool concept, but eh...idk.lets test

  • How much is the vest cause my b day is soon and I wanted a new fmg and a new vest

  • @nerfterf34 What the hell is an fmg?

  • I think ill keep my TAG Banshee plate carrier thank you very much.

  • pass

  • Eh. Not a fan.

  • How exactly is this Special Forces??

  • @BasterdAirsoft different meaning of special ;D

  • @BasterdAirsoft This pouch design, was in fact an idea derived from a personal rig of a special force personnel. The amount of time it takes pull a mag out of a vertical pouch is MUCH faster than a flat. For those that only uses two mags, this is not an issue, but for those that do double or triple stack.....you did feel the pain putting in and pulling out the mags right?

  • @evikecom but how can people lay prone without the mags jutting themself in the ground or in the gut of who ever is wearing the rig? I think that is a very poor design.

  • @evikecom No, I've never had any problems with this vest, I've never owned it. I dont buy stupid shit.

  • @evikecom Can i get one with out the pouch's?

  • @evikecom it's just stupid, you can't go prone.

  • Comment removed

  • @evikecom since this is the review of the newest Matrix stuff, are doing one of the Matrix SDEU MOLLE vest too?

  • @BasterdAirsoft coz it looks cool

    yeah, like a boss xD

  • im all for open top pouches, but keep em flat

  • they went full retard.

  • No Modularity at all. "They don't take up space"? My ass they don't. If you want intergrated mag pouches get a damn Pantac MPS/WSH Plate Carrier. Least you still have molle to work with.

  • Nothin' but M4's and impractical plate carriers. *yawwwn* C'mon, airsoft industry...innovate eh?

Other thoughts...this would actually not be too bad for someone who's role was to simply stand and lay down walls of plastic, such as with a SAW.

  • 1:27 - All these years I had thought snacks were for eating. But no; according to evike they are for playing with.

  • Why does evike say they as in matrix, evike IS matrix, it's astorebrand

  • hahahahahahhaha are they stupid?

  • you need to add a "tactical spork!"

  • When will evike carry the nc star universal scope mount for pistols?!?!?!

  • Eh... I like the pouch design but I dont like where they are placed.

If there were like three on the left and right side of the vest and the front was free I would totally go for this. If wouldn't interfere with going prone and they would overall interfere less with movement since they wouldnt be bouncing as much when you ran.

Evike should sell this pouch design as independent molly attachments if they dont already. I REALLY like the pouch design but I dont like where they are placed.

  • Not innovative in the least...just stupidity.

  • I want this, but I ordered a different vest recently.

  • Battle for the Dislike Bar!

  • just thought of some use for this. gbb rifle in a high speed cqc environment. no need to go prone and gbb mags dont hold too many bbs sooo.... i guess realistic gbb high speed paintball style match?

  • why not jus double mag pouches?

  • If I ever see anyone wearing this, I will just laugh. I cannot see any way that this would really be much faster than flat stacks, and even if you ONLY play CQB type games and never need to prone, banging these against walls just seems more likely to break mags and make noise than normal stacks.

  • why not just double stack a mag pouch? its the same amount of space

  • CONDOR FTW

  • You take up less space, only the fact that you could fit the same amount if you use NORMAL pouches and stack them, same space outward and across your stomach.

  • Ugliest vest i've ever seen.

  • ugly and stupid.

  • there is a reason the pouches are the way they are, silly matrix.
