  • Rob Reiner should have used this tune for the soundtrack to Stand By Me. This tune is from 1959 -- the same year the story (Stand By Me) took place.

  • This novelty song released in July of 1959 by The Eternals incorperated animal sounds which was unique. It was a great fast dance record and became a hit for them along with another novelty record that they recorded called "Babalu's Wedding Day."

  • i did see The Rubinoos in concert in nyc years ago and yes they did do this song acapella first.

  • Used to play them on a jukebox in a pizza place in Newark.  Loved their sound. I now have them on my own personal AMI/Rowe home jukebox.

  • Rock n' Roll Cha Cha flipside of 'rRITJ' is a very hot cut.. great groove and the some of the tightest harmonies ever!(except for the annoying ahh haa) give it a listen
