Thanks for taking a look at my video! I checked out your channel videos. I'd really like to hear a demo of your DX100 Roger Troutman rig. I used to have a DX21(basically the same thing except full size keys and a splitable keyboard).
@WeakEndProductions I will putting together a video using the DX100 soon. When it's ready I will let you know. Funny thing I also own a DX21, I put it away because it is in mint condition with all its accessories.
The talk box video was great, I am going to make one, I love your design and then I find this video... WOW Nothing weak about your productions, great job all around!
Thanks for checking out my video. My original tune videos don't seem to get the response that my 'how-to' ones get. So thanks for taking the time to take a look a look and the nice comment!
Thanks for checking out the video! What I had to do for this video is record the song first with all the parts. Then I would play back the song muting one of the parts, for example the bass. Then I record the video and the audio of me playing the bass (again) and that would replace the original song part. It's a little more complicated in that I'd record different video shots of me playing the bass part, say. Then I'd splice in those parts. Whatever is seen, I'm playing 'live' to an audio track.
I would playback the song on my speakers (minus the part that I'm recording) and then record that audio part into my computer WHILE I record the video of me playing that part. Then I sync up the recorded audio with the picture. I don't use the sound that the camera records except for getting the sync. I use a 'slate' (the clapper thing) for sync and to keep track of all the takes.
The video is composited together. I have to be careful to stay 'in frame' or a guitar headstock might disappear.
5 Stars, Favorited, and Commented. You had my attention from start to finish. Awesome! It's not easy getting that many elements to synch. Keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot! Glad that you liked it. It was kind of complicated. (Take a look at the description to see some of what was involved). I basically had to record the tune then re-record it in a 'music-minus-one' kind of way to play all the parts. And I also had to be mindful of not letting the guitar or bass headstock (or any other part) get 'out of frame' when videoing so those parts don't accidentally disappear when I composite the two Me's together at any point in the video.
The guitar is a 60th anniversary (Mexican) Strat.I think I paid about $450 for it. I customized it by installing a Callahan trem block and a Roland GK-Kit. The GK-kit is a hex (midi) pickup with the attendant circuit board, pots and switches. You have to be willing to take a router to your guitar to install it.
I thought it was more of a gray haired Nelson Twins, Matthew and Gunner together with their less photogenic identical step-triplets Curly, Moe and Larry!
this song was a blessing bro,

This is a great song. Could be mainstream. The Lyrics give me goosebumps.

Hey, thanks a lot! I normally don't think of myself as much of a singer. (I'd rather just jam.)
