I would like say this of Larsen's work at that of the others in this vid... Honestly -I feel what we typically call realism involves far more reduction or generalization of observable phenomena (abstraction) than we might normally think. To my mind movements like abstract expressionism are far more reflective of the the natural world on both a micro and macro scale. Realism is simply not about transition and the mixing and muddling reflective of the globe's ongoing cultural metamorphosis.
Hey, if you're not already a fan of Edward Hopper you should become one. There are some good Hopper vids here on youtube if you're interested. I heard a greatly inspiring radio program about Wright the other day on Sweden's equivalent of the BBC, but I have a problem with much of his interior design... Are Ayn Rand's novels something you'd recommend? After I learned about her politics and philosophy I kind of disregarded her.
I'm curious as to where you learned about Ayn Rand, without actually reading her novels. I personally think of her as more of a philosopher for art's sake, not merely a philosopher for philosophy's sake, so I would definitely recommend her novels first before any nonfiction works.
Thank you for creating this uplifting work of art.
