I don't think that is the point they are making here. What they are saying is that the advertising companies may be misleading the general public as to the complexities of depression. Ads insinuate that the only treatment is to take a pill and be cured. Some people may need the meds, others may not. There are other forms of treatment out there and the doctoral candidate makes a good point
That's funny Lexapro seems to make me feel better. I hate stupid people spreading their Fox conservative rhetoric. The host wants the guests to say antidepressants are fake and only Jesus can save you. If you feel really bad like I did, then please don't listen to this foolish report and try an antidepressant. Its better than feeling like crap all the time.
