Supposedly, because she was "over the 150cm limit" for Mini Moni.

But I think it might have been a nationality issue as well since Ai Kago, Ai Takahashi, and Nozomi Tsuji are Japanese. Also all three are from Morning Musume.Mika is American and is from Coconuts Musume, a group that is normally shunned within the Hello!Project fanbase. Since it was made up of American girls and only one Japanese girl (They were from Hawaii) many of the members could not pronounce Japanese(con)

words. Their videos were also badly produced compared with other groups in the Hello!Project community at that time. Many fans of H!P find Coconuts Musume sort of pathetic since the American members (with the except of Mika whose mother is Japanese) had A LOT of trouble with the Japanesse.

*I don't find them pathetic though*. Basically Mika was being portrayed as the odd one out in Mini Moni because she's from a dif. country, H!P background, and had a smaller level of fanbase.

Not really, I think everyone acts like that (myself included). I'm in Honors French, and I have a lot of German neighbors, along with learning Japanese on the side. It's horrible, because I always talk in a combination of all four, so I always have to take a moment to collect myself and get into one language before I answer a question or take a speaking test. That isn't completely true though. They obviously got rid of the 150 cm rule when Takahashi joined. And yet, Takahashi wore cute clothes and Mika was still stuck with the weird clothes. Mika probably had to wear the unflattering outfits because she wasn't as thin as the others.
