  • radio stations never play this great tune,,,,,, mmm sydney have a go ya mugs....best song ever

  • 20 dislikes for the 20 objects on the backround image

  • @mrchuckman64 ....This is not mean to argue a point with you so please don't take it like that. I'm just speaking from things I've read and interviews I've conducted. Maybe occult was the wrong term to use for understanding of what I meant. I could also have used the term metaphysical although both are very broad terms.

  • @mrchuckman64 Occult is a very broad term. I consider some Norse lore (like the god Loki) to be in that. Stating that, Plant wrote the lyrics to most of the songs and as with No Quarter which refers to Norse lore. I've also had personal interaction with Plant (a benefit of working for a radio station) and have asked JPJ about it and even he said Plant was also into black magic for a period if time. As for the Tolkien, agreed, I think its wonderful he had such an influence on their music.

  • It's very sketchy, they were very into the occult and rumors of black magic. Not to mention a fasination with JRR Tolkien, at least 5 songs quote his books.

  • @theirishjoe420 No, only Jimmy Page had a fascination with the occult. As for the rest of the band, I don't think they did. But there's nothing wrong with them incorporating some of Tolkien's stuff, I've never thought of his works as satanic.

  • Don't u guys know? The reason they split up after John died is because he was the one sacrificed to the devil for being the greatest of all time. At least that's why Jason refused to post with them for so long. He blamed them for his dads death.

  • Music like this has meaning, value, and integrity. Not that stupid ass electric shit or whatever is popular nowadays.

  • @1234candylane Nowadays? Are you, like, 80 years old?

  • Mike Vick disliked this 19 times

  • Oh, Zeppy! Why did you have to leave us so soon (sob, sob).

  • One of my personal fav Zep tracks. Long live the Hammer of the Gods. ;-b

  • nobody knew they were the best when they did this. not even them!

  • from the first time hearing this is one of my absolute favourite songs. Melody, Rhythm, guitar, voices, lyrics, everything so wonderful!

  • good song to walk to :D love you zepp. <3

  • 19 people got stepped on by the bron-y-aur stomp!

  • If i could marry a song, this would be it.

  • @UniversalCaitlin why would you marry a song ? It is a good song though.

  • 19 people just dont fucking get it

  • I usually like to see song facts when I read the comments. Not stupid ass comments about stupid ass ponies.

  • Why can't music be this freaking amazing anymore? Like Robert and jimmy and john Paul and john all put emotion into all of their music and now of days everything is just so generic and has no heart or meaning or feeling. Just as long as it sounds cool, the radio station is going to play it. And that's whats wrong with the world

  • @swiss6996 Not much of today's music even sounds cool anymore...sad.

  • is that castanets I hear?

  • I like Jennings Farm Blues a little bit more ..

  • probably it's a song from those very few ones when I'm very sad at the end! :D

  • My friend made me cry last night because she said she didn't like this song. I took 34 dollars from her wallet

  • I can't help tapping my feet when the drums come in

  • Bronies ftw!

  • Led Zeppelin: successful but underground in their time, folk-influenced, and unorthodox in their marketing. They were the first hipster band and they still put the new ones to shame.

  • Thumbs up if bronies are gay.

  • ponies are retarded. So are bronies. But you know what, I ain't even mad. I love this song.

  • There should be more bands like this right now. Some band needs to pick up this style and build on it and keep Zep alive

  • 6 stars

  • PONIEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

  • Led Zeppelin is its' own special kind of church

  • I came here to find other people to share in my love for Zeppelin's blue grass inspired stuff, and all I can find is some shit about bronies. What the fuck is a brony.

  • @PhiniusMaster its a fuckin full grown that watches MY LITTLE PONY----bronies. gay

  • @PhiniusMaster A fan of MLP:FiM that's over 18 years old.

  • Soo why doesn't this have a billion views?

  • Everyone shut the hell up about bronies and get back to the fucking music. Yes, I got here because I googled "brony". But does that make me gay? No. Twilight and all that sparkly vampire shit is gay. Ponies having magical adventures isn't. Nothin wrong with completely straight dudes watching MLP.

Just keep it away from Led Zeppelin and enjoy the fucking song.

  • @86RockandJock wth is a brony?

  • @blodhgarm96 Male fan of the new My Little Pony show

  • @86RockandJock I,m pretty sure Bron-Yr-Aur is a place in Wales that Robert spent alot of time at.

  • Why did it take me so long to discover this band properly?

  • @TheRoyalAquamaster You discovered them just in time.

  • @TheShameofaNation

Abandon the title of calling yourself a "Brony".

It is a mark of shame.

  • @xDEADLOCKEDx2468

    Opinions?

It's the hard truth whether you like it or not, just look at your pathetic example.

You clopping autie jackasses are everywhere, even on this video for fuck sake.

  • PONIES!!

  • By far my favourite led zep song

  • Comment removed

  • Only defines you as an autist.

    You bronies are vermin.

    V

  • @DeathtoBronies yeah totally not a troll.

Now, related to the song, it's awesome. Unsurprising, the whole album is awesome.

  • @DeathtoBronies >Implies all bronies are autists.

    >Implies all bronies are vermin.

    >Can't explain how they are any of his own opinions.

    Oh right, they're opinions.

  • i like both ponies and Zeppelin...

    is that wrong?

  • Bronies, GTFO my Led Zeppelin.

  • @TheShameofaNation Shut the fuck up, you have "friends" who are also bronies.

    Friendship is magic bitch.

  • @xDEADLOCKEDx2468 I know, I am a brony too, but I keep that shit where it belongs.

    I'm against ponies infecting everything.

  • @TheShameofaNation Well I ain't an infection either.

Sure people make fanart, and make pony versions of characters from games and movies, but that's fanart, I dunno how that's an infection.

  • why are ponies all over my favorite songs?

  • 18 Idiots!

  • This sounds like The Waggoner's Lad

  • Richtig muschatscho! Gruss aus Schottland

  • One of the best bands ever! äm sorry,The BEST band ever! Many greetings from Germany

  • Word.

  • BRONY aur-stomp

  • @thejoj96 no, it is welch and in their backwards tongue 'y' is a word xD

  • @asaluci Welsh*

  • i recently saw this album on vinyl picture disc.

  • oh im 2 and a half years old and i listen to this music... isnt it great

    Oh Shut the Fuck up.

  • So fine!

  • Great folk song.

  • my favourite of all

  • Comment removed

  • That guitar. That drumming. <3

  • Who are the 17 fuckbags that disliked this? They are the 1% of total douchebaggery!!!

  • It's impossible to not tap your foot while listening to this

  • @JasonTheGuitarHero dude!

i was seriously tapping my foot when i read that

    conclusion:

    you speak the truth...

  • super Led. 17 justin biebers

  • sometimes I feel a little sadness inside, and I just know.. I hadn't heard any Zeppelin today

  • Comment removed

  • Magic to the ears.....

  • So damn good

  • Damn, what a kickass song XD

  • thumbs up if ponies

  • @jimelzenga "Bron-y!"

    They were asking for it.

  • @jimelzenga Thumbs up if jimelzenga is a faggot

  • *mind explodes*

  • Led Zeppelin did Acoustic music really well, I love the Folk-y twang to this, its a shame more bands of the time and genre didn't make much music like this

  • this world would be a better place if we all listened to Led Zeppelin. if their music was a drug i would be addicted. o wait it is a drug, and i am addicted.

  • The Wagonner's Lad

RIP Bert Jansch, thanks to him for being such spring of inspiration.

  • And that kiddies, is why Zeppelin is timeless

  • Mother !!!! Just plain fantastic !!!!

  • i used to think this was the only zep song that had cuss words - "hear your mother bitch about you and me" but it was really "Telling Mother Nature 'bout you and me." and "there ain't no old shit gonna happen again" was really "There ain't no old Shep gonna happen again,"

  • thumps up if this is ur fav song of all time!!

    ps its mine

  • the sadest thing about led zeppelin is that once you listen to it you'll have a hard time finding any other band worth listening to from then on

  • @ttulicreme until you find tool... and its like oh my lord, theres hope for modern music yet

  • @ttulicreme I feel the same way about Uriah Heep, Just listen to Heeps acoustic gems Circus, The Park, Blind Eye, Tales & Footprints in The Snow (with John Wetton) and I'm sure you'll feel the same way. I'm a fan of both Zep & Heep. Salute!!

  • >why half the related videos are pony related

    >bron-y-aur-stomp

    >bron-y

    >brony

    god fucking dammit.

  • one of my fave zep songs, along with when the levee breaks, babe im gonna leave u, achilles last stand, stairway... so many to love lol

  • @toobularbells

Yes. You're correct. :D But I'd still do him today... Just because it's Robert Plant. ;)

  • /watch?v=yLBHv32QnKk

Feel free to check that out, it's an acoustic song i wrote. :) led zeppelin is a big inspiration for me . good and bad comments are welcome (as long as i can learn from them xD don't trollrage plox D: ^^!

    thanks :)

  • Here's to man's best friend... Led Zeppelin!

  • My thighs hurt after every time i listen to this...

  • hear me call your name STRIIIIIIIIIIIIIDER

  • @openyoureyes2424 that was plants little "doggie" at the time they wrote this...

  • My My Lordie Lord

  • The meaning of this song is pretty cool.. It's all about Plants relationship with his Aussie/Heeler dog, Strider. All about the bond between man and mans best friend!

  • the live version is better

  • Definately not metal

  • Why is Lady Gaga even mentioned in this? Wtf guys. Go talk about Lady Gaga on a Lady Gaga song, and we'll talk about Led Zeppelin on a Zeppelin song. Not that tough of a concept to grasp.

But, talking about the song, I am still listening to it, even ever since I was a toddler. So amazing.

  • This song was stolen from Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, "The Waggoners lad"

  • @mufasa20 It's not really a Bert Jansch original, just traditional material that Jimmy Page decided to claim writer's credit for. (Same deal with "Black Mountain Side", incidentally, both that and "Waggoners" are found on the same Jansch album.)

  • @vonbontee

    Hi,

I did not know that. I have couple of Zep books, I will look it up.

Didn't Joe Satriani try to sue Coldplay for stealing his song; Coldplay even won a Grammy for it. If you listen to them they are exactly the same. I wonder why Page did not get into trouble for this.

    Thanks,

    Lara

  • May I recommend the book 'An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s' by Johnny Zero. The author is a big fan of this track and this album.

  • haha love the maracas :D

  • 15 bags of excrement have no soul.

  • @chefkenardee Don't insult bags of excrement by comparing them with people who would dislike this ;)

  • my dad was suggesting songs i should learn on guitar,he said this one.LMAO...yeah maybe ill be able to play it in like 5 years.im not THAT good.

  • @stretchandsqueak actualy its a pretty easy-to-play song, just the hybrid picking part is difficult, the rest is piece of cake =P

  • @stretchandsqueak

This is a great song to learn with open c tuning. OMG ... it is easy if you skip over the fancy picking at first. You just need the right feel . There is a live video of LZ playing this and u can watch Page and learn lots !!!

  • Stop talking about fucking Lady Gaga. It doesn't matter if she's good or bad, this is a Zeppelin song, and we should really only be talking about Robert Plant's dick.

  • @kails88 hahaha your fucking ridiculous

  • @kails88 and Jimmy Page's dick too!

  • @VelvetSynclaire

Yess. Oh yess. And the Mudsharks. Don't forget about the mud sharks.

    ;D

  • @kails88 lady gaga & cock-talk??

    Let me guess,you're 12 years old,wear a helmet,& a 'short' bus picks you up.

    GIT...pronouced FUCK OFF

  • @toobularbells

    No.

    I'm 17 years young.

    I'm an AP student.

    and I have a massive lady-boner for Robert. <3 :)

  • @kails88 hes old enough to be yer greatGrandpa...u love his 1972 persona..my GF in 1980 had the same 'Wide-On' for him LOL

  • @kails88 Her next diary entry read, "When he rode up on his unicycle, I knew I had to have his cock in my mouth."

  • @kails88 just for the record, she IS bad

  • @kails88 Which always shows quite nicely in their old concert clips. I need to get some of those pants.

  • @kails88 Right?

  • Lady gaga is surely not a musical genius, she just shows off her body, and people are hooked

A musical genius can play ANY music, shes been treading around the same ol water. She'll never have the talent to leave her little box

  • @nickins4 She's done covers of thunder road by bruce springsteen quite well. She's a lot better than you guys are giving her credit for. Just like the people of today don't lok back at old music with open eyes, you guys gotta try and look into NEW music with open eyes. Some of her songs have really cool ideas behind them. Paparazzi and Bad Romance have some cool messages. Bad Romance referencing the fact that when you truly love someone, you want EVERY part of them, even their bad parts.

  • @Iwishiwerethird

come on man susane tedeschi is so much better than her

  • @algrand90 Can't really say I've heard her before, sorry haha.

  • @Bushie1988 Dude, I honestly believe she could do a good folk/blues/punk album if she wanted to. Like I said to nickins, you've gotta be able to look at new music with open eyes. Do you think Zep could do a cover of one of her songs? They probalby could actually... bad example haha. Either way I betcha Lady Gaga could put out a different type of album if she wanted to. If you compare her first two albums, her second release was a lot more mature than her first. She's still a young artist.

  • @Bushie1988 Again, this is coming from a DIE HARD zeppelin fan. Zeppelin hasn't left my CD player in years lol. I'm just saying we all need to be a little more open.

  • @cody31837 Bro, lady gaga IS genius. I'm a die hard Zep fan, my favorite band of all time. But if you think about it, gaga's a musical/professional genius. Fantastic piano player, great singer and stage performances comparable to Michael Jackson and other great stage performers. Don't knock Gaga, she's just as much an artist as Zeppelin is. It's the ignorant people who don't listen to Zeppeling cuz it's "old" that are the ones to blame.

  • @Iwishiwerethird .. for one shes just trying to do what madonna did 30 years ago .. shes not a musical genius and secondly i reckon shell die out like the rest of the terrible so called genius artists nowadays , shes shit .. shell churn out the same old stuff over and over and people will fall for it , lets put it this way .. do you think gaga could do a folk , blues , punk , funk , rock album ... ? i doubt it and her record label sure as fuck wont let her try.

  • @cody 31837 Bro, lady gaga IS genius. I'm a die hard Zep fan, my favorite band of all time. But if you think about it, gaga's a musical/professional genius. • There is nothing like the original, but for a damn good unaccompanied version of what Jimmy Page is playing here, search for tonuslocus12 on YouTube. You won't be disappointed.

  • Thanks so much for putting this up. !

  • Cleverbot told me this is his favorite song :)

  • Great band, Bonzo may have been a great drummer, though that is debatable, his drumming suited this band, but the more I read about him ........

  • @TheSjspen the more you read about him what?

  • @BleachTW the more I read about him the more I dislike the guy. Comes over as not a particularly nice person..

  • @TheSjspen Him and Moon could probably go one on one for the title. ;-)

  • @Honeysucklebommie As a drummer I much prefer Keith Moon, inventive clever and much underated player.. He like Bonham was taken over by drink but whereas Moon was a lovable drunk, Bonham was a nasty drunk..

  • @TheSjspen He was just a really bad drunk I heard

  • @TheSjspen he was nice when he was not drunk.

  • These guys are the DEFINITION of perfect! Love this song!!

  • As always we miss Bonzo!

  • Oh yeah!! Love it!! !!

  • This is so great live. I thought this was mostly guitarless live until it showed page strumming away.

  • long live led zeppelin

  • Comment removed

  • @cody31837 i hate her type of music, but for what she does, shes good, go ahed make fun of justin beiber or kesha or, really any other garbage pop "artist", just respect her caus shes good at what she does

  • @Br0sB4THeH0e i agree

  • @Br0sB4THeH0e you mean she does what she is told ie she follows instructions well

  • @whitediesel266 preety much, she actually i decent singer when she dosent use autotune though, search it up

  • @cody31837 Dude, do everybody a favour and delete ur post. Then maybe we'll all stop talking about Lady fuckin Ga Ga.

  • this is my pre-battle song. Some day this will get me pumped to go fight aliens

  • We'll still go walking down country lanes, I'll sing the same old song, hear me call your name.... WILSON!

  • @bigmarty11288 lol wut? Cast Away?

  • It has to figure that one of my favorite Zep songs would be about a dog! But is just so true that isn't a truer love or purer friendship than that between a canine and their care giver/pack leader/master - best feeling in the whole wide world. It is now time to go dancing with my doggies!

  • I wish I could play and pick like that, god damn!

  • This was a crowd favorite even more than Stairway to Heaven, believe it or not.

  • @MerkinMuffly This song actually has some energy to it, and has not been overplayed like stairway.

  • If this song was a comment, Jim Morrison would give it a thumbs up......and then probably do some acid

  • Nothing like a room full of thumpin' feet to the beat!

  • Classic, thanks for posting it, made my day!

  • Wow! I'm in shit kicker heaven. Thanks to Jim, John & Rob!

  • #909

  • sorry but they sound fuck all like each other.

  • I'm not much of a led zepplin fan (blasphemy I know) but this tune is a fucking force of nature!
