  • Killawesome!! These ARE poems, modern poems, and as such, are brilliant ones! Myself's a poem person, too, and I've got to love these, really. And just because they're so personal (lyrical) and have a rhythmic sequence of the ideas/images, they easily fall under the category of poetry, despite any prose-like characteristics. That is, it's simply poetry, and, again, as such, is greeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaat!

  • your voice is so sweet... :) I like it...

  • Beautiful...^_^

  • wow.... just wow. It is awesomely good.

  • I write prose too. Mine is not nearly as good though. Maybe someday i'll get the nerve up to post some of mine online. But i don't know. They are all pretty personal. I suppose yours are too though, right?

  • I think anything we write is our very soul on paper and in words. Can't get much more personal. Thankfully, I keep most my meanings hidden.

  • (until 4:47) Oh, this was so fantastic !!! Omg, you really overwhelmed my with this prose. What surprised me was the way you've stretched time for going into details. That was very good... just the right think to do, because when you're in love with someone it seems like time stands still... *sigh* so great... And what a shame all I have time for right now is to leave nothing but a short comment...

  • l like your style ..haha you are born gift

  • may be it is a great poem according to your emotional expression

although i just understand it less(because i am chinese ) and have a pool english

  • Hey, I think I've seen you on tv before. Not sure though, I may be wrong.

  • These poems are really good. And your voice is so unbelievably relaxing. mmmmmmmmmmmm You've got a talent.

  • Holy crap you wrote those? First one depressing, but second has love. Added to favs

  • holy... that is amazing... people say I'M good... wow... i am nothing compared to you...

  • I really like those prose, the first one was my fav of the two. our own desire for "happiness" that we seek in others is our downfall, find happiness in your own soul and all other sources will enrich our lives enhance them, but not define them. again thanks for making the video.

  • your poetry is so beautiful, it inspires me to start writing again. keep up he grea work.

  • Yeah, me too, really ! It's a wonderful way to express one's feelings and so much stronger than a simply text. Don't we all have these intense moments in life in which we want to communicate us to someone regarding something which really moves us ? Such prose is just the right form for it, if you ask me...

  • if i read this to myself it would hav no meaning to me but when u read it...It just fluttered right into my mind i could feel each emotion. uve inspired me to write again thank you. idk y but hearing and writing poetry helps me find inner peace.

  • its a grate poem you have a gift i hope what i said about a fools heart did not upset you i was not meaning to be rude

  • the first poem the grand affair is a lot like my story. it made me cry to know i am not the only one with a fools heart. i would like to send a copy of that poem to the one i have the grand affair with. if you could please tell me who wrote it so i may find it so i can.

  • ummm... I wrote it.

  • These words sounds like a diary of what and how I feel about my "Bed Buddy". wow.

  • Mashallah, both of them were very deep. very sad. but your poetry is so good one can't listen to all of it at once, it's so deep one has to listen to two sentences at a time, pause, contemplate them, and then continue. Thank you for posting these poems

  • This really humbled me. It was so moving I can't keep listening in length, i have to listen to a sentence or two at top. Thank you

  • You are a beautiful writer. I identify with your pieces... Please keep writing.

  • "Good Poems selected by Garrison Keillor" is one of my favorite books of poetry. I recommend any who enjoys poetry check out that book. Keep it up Kicesie, really good.

Your poetry is very good and it seems you put alot of time in thinking and writing. I notice you say you have written them a few years ago. I can guess you put some feeling when writing this. I thank you for sharing this with your friends and people on youtube.

    Mike from Australia

  • is what im saying going in if it is sory for replying so mutch if not i ges my computer isint that good dont mind the spelling i am not all that good at it well grait poems more story but ther good they make good pics in my mind

  • I liked the first one. it was really sad :(.

  • Sorry I just never really got into poetry/poetic prose. P.S. Whats the difference?

  • Very nice work.. Again :-)

  • Can you say emotion??? Yes your voice speaks it from within. Remember those cherished those moments forever because those are what makes you that someone special.

  • once again very nice work! did you get a hair cut?

  • nope... just my bangs growing out... the rest is pulled back....

  • kim you get different levels of deep evertime see ya! these poetic prose are really great !!!! excelent stuff here .

  • I liked it, but if I had the choice, I'd much rather hear something you've written very recently, say within the last month.

  • why?

  • I feel a bit like I'm looking at old photos. Ones that don't show recent changes in you, new complications that might add character. Haven't you turned a corner (or two) since then?

  • Most of my videos are 'recent photos' and to actually get a deeper view... to find something more interesting, one might want to look at baby pictures. They tell a lot.

As for recent stuff, I post writings all the time on my myspace account.

Or is it a specific corner you're looking for?

  • Yeah, I guess I was thinking of the one reflected in your last few blog posts. Y'know, Winter Thaw and all. I was sort of distinguishing between this type of writing (poetic) and that type of writing (matter-of-fact discussions of what's going on). Maybe you don't make that distinction; I don't know.

But hey, what you posted is cool! You're right; historical perspectives are very interesting.

  • I love your poetic prose(WHILE I SNAP MY FINGERS)I miss your vlogs but I'm sure your busy with school and all your other projects. hope all is well, keep up the good work.

  • I think my writing is inarticulate and inadequate compared to yours.

Someday people will pay money to read your memoirs.

  • Wow! Pretty amazing Kim. Considering that you wrote them as a much younger woman, even more so.

  • love it...

  • Oops, forgot to read the "About This Video" section. They are yours, and they are "pieces of poetic prose".

The point of my comment stands though, they are excellent.

  • Nice pieces of poetic prose

  • Did you write those? (I didn't hear you say it, but I felt it was implied.)

If you did, wow. I have always had trouble at writing deep/emotive poetry. I can do it through fiction, but have never caught the nack of poetry, at least not poetry like that. My hat is off to you.

  • Yes, I wrote them. A good while back now... :-)

  • VERY awesome. Feeling, intimate, real words. I am impressed and taken by your words.

  • "... the irony of life, someone always holds back" brilliant and true!

  • sorry, but i really dont see what people see in poetry

  • : )

  • Your poems are like a storm, full of emotion reflective of a heart in turmoil, passion exploding, rushing forth. Then when you read them in such a drab monotone there is injected a disappointment! What happened to the heart which experienced the storm? What are you

afraid of? Let yourself go as that's the only way you will be loved!

  • The monotone is oh so intentional.

  • @goneviral69 i like to read my poetry and prose in monotone....it just....works....but depends what your reading i guess

  • @goneviral69 but if it's like the poems in def jam poetry....well than yeah character is necessary
