@MrClassicDoctorWho It's a silly blanket statement. Some old cars are inherently unreliable (just ask anyone who owns a Lamborghini Countach). But mostly it's because people operate from the perspective of modern cars, which don't require any maintenance beyond servicing and regular perishables like tyres and wipers. Older cars require good care to keep them healthy, but providing they get this they are just as dependable.
TIGNES! Skiied there once. Tigne Le C whatever it was where I stayed. My nose got a bit of frostbite when going up the top 11,000 feet plus at 8 o'clock in the morning.
failure. You should have given it some more pasty, hammer it. And you will no doubt be out and about. But a spade does help. wnen things build up underneath the gearbox in the hills.
@yippitydodah Well I would have loved to chew on all day but I was literally touching the bus by the end, it was solid ice underneath. Once the bus pulled out I was pretty much straight out.
That was one of the qualities of the mini- the interior was so well designed that very tall drivers could still fit in ok

@Loftworthy True enough that. Except the wipers - the old rubber blades are much better than any new ones I can find!

Your mk1 does travel alot! Over hardknott pass, the arctic circle... the alps!
Makes my ambitions of just getting mine on the road seem... rather underwhelming lol
