i've been thinking about cutting my bangs like that for a while, but idk if i can pull off the look. ive never done it before. i have relaxed african-american hair (mixed with indian hair on my mom's side). what do u guys think?
@tina333li The song is called Patricia. It was originally done by Perez Prado...I have no idea who does this version, but I am searching for it...if you find it please post it! Thanks! =)
I have brownish reddish hair and I straighten it everyday. I deep condition my hair everyday and use damage spray before I blow dry and straighten it but it always looks dry and damaged. How do you keep your hair looking so shiny and soft?
@emmiebiggs7 try chi silk infusion. makes your hair soft and silky & very shiny. i have very dry hair and i use this everyday and it feels amazing afterwards.
not sure if you were ever answered. but washing it daily can cause it to dry out, even with conditioner. for some people its best to skip washing the hair every other day. (me personally i am not one of those people. lol) i have to wash it daily. but i am male so i guess that makes a diff.
@emmiebiggs7 The answers you got are preety good tips as I can see, I just wanted to add that it would be better if you find a way to tie your hair when you sleep (something like loose braids or a scarf..I think there are some helpfull videos here) so it won't get so messy or frizz, and you won't have to straighten it everyday..!!
@emmiebiggs7 you have to stop straightening it everyday. its the only answer. if anything you need to go the old school route and wet set your hair with rollers to get it straight and only concentrate your flat iron/blower on the roots. it makes sense--of course your hair would be dry if you're putting hundreds of degrees on it everyday.
@emmiebiggs7 also, stretch out your straight style--don't wash it everyday. keep it for like at least a few days and set it at night to keep it from looking mussed. if it gets too oily, try a dry shampoo until your hair gets used to not being washed everyday and stops over producing oil.
@shelbylynne40 - You used a permanent dye didn't you? Touch up your roots while they grow out with semi-permanent dye in layers. I like Jazzing because it's free of ammonia and peroxide & makes my hair super-shiny. Use the semi-permanent instructions. Find a dark red/auburn and put that on your roots, followed by dark brown, then black. It's reverse bleaching really because bleach works in stages. It's how to go back to dark from bleaching w/o getting poop colored hair too.
i actually did cut my bangs like that after watching the "wildflower" video. Girls I love your music and I definitely voted for you on the MyYouTube. I love the vintage look on you Susie, I've been fascinated with the vintage look for years and you definitely pull it off in the modern day!

@emmiebiggs7 don't deep condition your hair everyday! nor wash it. allow your hair to have its natural oils. and let your hair air dry
blow drying your hair is just as bad as straighting it

Try washing it every other day, hair products with olive oil may help.

How do you get your hair so perfectly soft looking? I have the same shade of black hair [naturally a blonde] and mine always looks a little dry.

@shelbylynne40 THATS WHY you dyed your hair (dumb) blonde hair is always pretty not many people have that color hair ya know!
