Can you manually control the sweep of the phase with this, like in the stereo polyphase by EHX? Not the rate, but control the sweep like it was an wah pedal, except a phaser?
This is the one video that made my buy my MoogerFooger Phaser, which is coming tomorrow from UPS. Thanks for all of the detail. The people who complain about the talking are the ones who will never buy anyway - they just want to hear a little sample. For people like myself that seriously consider purchasing one, this is a GREAT video.
@DevelopingWorship Agreed for Moogerfoogers. Generally, pedals are simple enough for me to figure out, but it's really nice to hear all these details about Moogerfoogers because they can get a little confusing.

3:35 before a single note is played, WTF? Most people that watch these videos are interested in what it sounds like, not what each knob does. Please don't mistake the difference between a DEMO and a TUTORIAL. You shouldn't be doing both in one video. 1/2 the viewers will always be annoyed.
At least throw away the guitar that you don't seem to want to use and plug in your microphone in the moog. Then that will be closer to a moog demo than this video
Thanks I found it helpful/`educational and could hear its potential The wah aspect has me wondering I'd love to hear it with a distorted tone Is it capable of replicating a MXR scrpt Phase 90 at 9 oclock?
Was wondering if you or anyone is familiar with throw away your television by the chili peppers, he uses this pedal in the song I know on the chorus, but I need to know if he uses it for the sound in the second verse at 0.49secs in to the song. If you have time to give your opinion whether it was this pedal, that would be amazing. Then I know whether I really need to spend all that money on the pedal for my CHili Peppers tribute band. Many thanks for the great work!

@hreth1@hreth1 I have one but havnt found a sound that does it properly. There is alot of variables on that thing, it would be great if it is on there somewhere. If any one can find it that would be amazing! When he plays it live you can hear more of the true sound of it. Check out
he bends down to adjust his slap back delay. Sounds like to me it could be the moog phase sound just played strumming muted strings with delay. Any ideas?
The manual has information everyone!! and its printed in ink!! REMEMBER this!! and the inputs are where you plug your guitar into! I thought it was wireless but nevermind!! it comes in a cardboard box! plastic bag! and theres an adaptor! READ the instructions to find out what thats for!!! damn it :)
i had one of these, sold it and bought it again. i've had the murf, the ring mod, and the delay pedals moog puts out. really, they're just noise making machines and kind of impractical, or in the case of the delay, cool but wayyy overpriced. this one, however, is hands down the best phaser i've ever heard. i can't use other phasers now because nothing else sounds as lush. even the phase 90 which is apparently "huge sounding" ... i traded this for a phase 90 and it was wimpy by comparison
That was a very nice demonstration, but I still wonder how this works for bassguitar. These were used a lot in the 70s I believe. I like a vintage bassound, I play a Fender Jazzbass or a Indie IRK Rickenbacker. Finger and pick.
the Mooger Fooger pedals didn't exist in the 70's. in fact, they didn't exist at all until about ten years ago. i think you're referring to tape phase effects, a rotary speaker emulators like the univibe circuit, or perhaps a Leslie rotating speaker cabinet.

This pedal is capable of SO MUCH MORE. Useless video. Typical of these guys, Guitar World, and Gear Wire.

@dumalucky i did a demo that doesn't just talk about how big the pedal is, or for five minutes just about the controls.

Anyone used this with an elecric bass?
Steelyden 2 years ago
@Steelyden
It'll work for bass, as the sweep knob will get you into the right range of frequencies.
livelooper 2 years ago
@Steelyden It would be cool with Bass but a Moog Moogerfooger Lowpass Filter is much more expressive for bass.
jfusion10 2 years ago
already bought it and love it:) but thanks for the tip though, will check it out

Mooooger Fooooooger from Mogue Music. lol. Must be an older unit.
Nothing like opening a Moog box.
Very good demonstration of a pedal that will be very subtle or take you to Uranus and back in one full sweep.
